I ignored them and turned back to fumble in my school bag.

Seeing this, Adam became more furious. He rushed in, violently grabbed my shoulder, and asked, "What are you doing? Do you have a guilty conscience?"

When he pulled me, the things I took out fell to the ground. And traditional herbal medicines loosely packaged in yellow paper were scattered all over. Soon, the faint medicine smell filled the room.
