Floor of tests III

"Damn, seems like a lot of people failed" Jin pointed out

Both Apollo and Annie nodded as they looked at the largely decreased number of contestants, usually, Annie would say something like 'it's because they were weak' but even she knew that she had only passed by luck

The surviving groups seemed to be full of different types of regulars, from Giant Alligators to pink-skinned round creatures

"So what now?" Jin asked

"We..wait..?" Annie seemed confused at her own answer

For a Full Five minutes, there was complete silence in our group as we waited for the next test

"Chosen regulars!" Lero-ro walked out with yellowy behind him

"Did you all have a good rest!?"

"I'm really happy to see you here, in fact, the reason I'm here in person is to give you guys good news"

'What is it an extra challenge?' Apollo thought. after the past few tests, Apollo was sure the next one would probably involve combat and he wasn't sure if he would fare too well especially since he had still to make a contract with the administrator

"Before I came I had a talk with the supervisor and he has decided to give you guys a bonus game!"

"What's he talking about?" Jin inquired, confused

"We'll find out soon enough" Annie replied

"Excuse me..." a man wearing a purple tracksuit interrupted

"If the number of tests increases, it's not exactly good news for us"

'well he's not wrong'

"Such heartbreaking words!!" Lero-ro clenched his chest dramatically

"a bonus game is different from other tests, attending a bonus game is entirely up to you, and because you didn't attend there will be no disadvantages in any way during later tests " He explained

"But for the winner, they receive maximum points for every test on this floor which means..."

'Skip..!?'

"You earn the right to go to the next floor!"

"That's a good chance, don't you think?" Jin asked

"There's no harm in trying and it's not like we're going to lose" Apollo replied

"After all" Annie spoke

"We are the strongest team here."

"The game you will be playing is called the crown game, the details will be given to you after we go to the arena" Lero-ro said

"Now that I think everyone is in place, I will now begin explaining the rules of the Crown Game"

"In a word the crown game is about -Stealing the Crown-"

"Stealing the crown means wearing the crown and sitting on the throne. Possessing the crown means the person must maintain physical contact with both the crown and the throne. In addition, the team member who actually steals the crown and sits on the throne cannot leave the throne for the rest of the duration of the game. If at any point that team member loses possession of the crown or comes off the throne before the game ends, that team loses the game" Lero-ro explained

"The game lasts for 5 rounds and each round lasts either 10 minutes or until someone steals the crown. The team in possession of the crown at the end of the 5th round is the winner.

"In each round up to 5 teams can participate. The right to participate is determined by pushing a buzzer. The teams that push the buzzer first, get to participate in the round. If there is a tie at button pushing, the teams that participated in more rounds in the past get to participate again. Teams that have possession of the crown automatically get to participate."

"And there's also one thing, a team from another testing district will be participating in the round as well"

"As a note, each team that wishes to participate must press the red buzzer to warn the advancement into the round" Lero-Ro spoke

"Alright, you can read the detailed rules on the sheet provided, Let The Game Begin!!!~" Lero-ro ended

"One!" Lero-Ro started counting

"it's a disadvantage to start in the first round" Jin noted

"Two!"

"Yeah, it would probably be smartest to enter around the Third round" Apollo agreed

"Three!"

"Watching would probably be best" Annie added her opinion

"Four!"

"But then again..." Annie reiterated her earlier point

"Five!"

"""It's not like we're going to lose""" They all stated at the same time

Apollo being the closest to the buzzer immediately pushed it

As soon as they pushed they were transported to the center of the Arena and were met with Two Other teams

"I think you'll regret this" The purple tracksuit said while smiling at both teams

"Funny" One said from another team

"Only 2 other teams? this will be boring" Apollo sighed in disappointment

"You take care of it" Apollo pointed at Jin

"Yeah, I'm so tired, I need to take a nap anyway" Annie yawned and stretched

"I would but you see..." Jin tried to get himself out of the situation

"How about you all come at me together?" a Lizard from one of the teams said

"and Don't you dare cut in!" She turned around and pointed at her teammates

"What makes you think you have the ability to request such?" Jin appeared before her trying to take her out with his spear in one hit

"You overestimate yourself" Hatsu cut in blocking his attack

"I told you not to cut in!!" the Lizard girl shouted ignoring the surprise on Jins face

"If I did that I would get bored," Hatsu said ready to strike Jin before getting interrupted

"It seems this is getting interesting!" Annie appeared before the Lizard

"And who are you?" The Lizard attacked Annie

'Those stingy sons of bitches, they took all the ones worth fighting' Apollo sighed as he looked at the other team

"The placements have been decided!" Lero-Ro shouted

"The first round of the crown game, Begins now!~"
