Assessing the situation

Ling Xi looked around the base. It was now littered in ruins devastated beyond recognition.

'What a monster! What have you done. Isn't this overkill dear Nephew of mine. Thanks to him we gained something here.'

Detective Eric waited calmly for her to digest everything around. What surprised him was that there was no change in her expression as she was very calm.

"Now this operation will be left to my team. The police should make sure to prevent anyone from approaching here. This place is completely out of bounds." She said with a neutral expression.

The police was immediately dispatched to do as ordered.

What confused Detective Eric the most was what such a high authority was doing here. He knew the situation was very bad but this was just mind blowing.

Was the Supernatural very powerful to the extent of attracting such a powerful individual.

Ling Xi immediately acted. She wanted to completely erase 'his' traces left behind. He was very naive to think he was completely safe.

Scarlet Faction headquarters.

Two heaven toppling women could be spotted in a room. Their gaze fixed on the recorder. What they were seeing could be described as a massacre.

It ended with a devastating lightning strike and the signal was lost.

"What a monster!" Lia exclaimed with a sigh.

Everything was left in ruins. This was clearly unexpected. She never anticipated that there was such a high level devil.

That devil was definitely a high rank in their hierarchy. Such beings could slaughter thousands of humans without bating an eye.

The most shocking part of all was that it was a Legendary rank supernatural. One level higher than Emperor rank but the gap was immense.

Karl managed to defeat it but with great sacrifice none of them knew. He lost a great part of his divine energy reserves which were very pure.

"Seems I got a badass ally this time, Mia. This display is enough to scare away those rats. Now they will try to get on our good side. I need to talk to him, where did he go." Lia asked. They were both seated in a sofa. They wore casual clothes.

"I couldn't locate him. He just disappeared without trace." Mia said neutrally.

After finishing off other bases, Mia and her team finally located him but what they saw shocked them. That was a catastrophic battle that turned a full base into ruins sparing nothing.

She only recorded part of it, as for the rest she had to move away from the location not to be caught in the crossfire.

'What will Mom think about this. I can't wait to see her reaction.'

Lia was in a good mood. This was really a good start. She was also somewhere watching. She was going to intervene incase Karl was overwhelmed but imagine her surprise when her presence was not needed.

"Seems like we will have to return home sooner than anticipated. That devil revealed something we can't completely ignore." Lia said calmly.

"What if it was lying about it you know. Devils and Demons can't be trusted. But it won't hurt to prepare for the worst." Mia said. Though what it said could be true, they couldn't rule out a possibility of falsehood.

"That's more like it. I will have to discuss it with Mom." Lia replied softly to her childhood friend.

Karl appeared inside the Golden. The golden tower stood at the top of the tallest mountain.

It was clouded with dense divine energy. There was an insignia of a towering golden dragon. Its gaze was filled with innate pride and arrogance.

He dragged his ragged body towards his room. He was very tired and the only thing he wanted was rest.

He layer prone and fell asleep as soon as he landed on the bed.

The Empress appeared. She looked at him silently. That battle was gruesome and taxing.

He was overloaded with divine energy. It was a risky move but he managed to pull it off. If there was any mistake he would have exploded like a balloon.

"What are you? Your race is definitely mysterious. But you are no different from humans. No mortal can withstand that stress. You are really something."

The Goddess muttered softly and snapped her fingers. Divine energy gathered in the room.

Swoosh

The golden lotus symbol glowed faintly. It greedily sucked the energy.

This happened under her watch. It gave him a celestial beauty. He started recovering much faster. This would take some time for him to wakeup.

She disappeared. She appeared on a cliff. A cold breeze blew. She looked very beautiful in her loose robes.

Her beauty was mind blowing. A thick fog covered her face. Up until now Karl doesn't know what she looked like.

"It won't be long now. Other beings are descending. Let's see how you will handle them. They are not all bad, they just need to be befriended. This world will evolve then." She muttered in a sultry voice.

Nothing could escape her watch even though she was in a separate dimension.

Beings at her level could see through galaxies.

'This is going to be exciting though with many hidden dangers ahead. Let's hope you will remain determined to the end."

Her gaze penetrated the Earth and looked into the void. She retracted her gaze and disappeared.

She appeared in a garden. Exotic herds and fruits could be seen. They stretched as far as the eyes could see.

She gracefully walked through the garden. Divine scents and fragrance struck her nose. They were simply intoxicating. She inhaled slightly.

She plucked two golden fruits. They gave off a strong scent proving their maturity. This garden had many kinds of herbs and fruits she managed to collect in her adventures.

She disappeared. She appeared on a mountain. This mountain was next to her tower.

There was a bamboo house. She walked gracefully and entered.

Inside the house was simple. What stood out the most were the portraits of the Nine tailed fox on the walls. They looked so adorable.

If one looked closer, they could see that the portraits seemed to have a life of their own. They gave off a pink glow but The Empress immediately dispelled the illusion.

"Your powers have improved greatly now, Aurora." She said.

She reached the living room only to spot a huge fox lying lazily on a couch.

"You seem to have taken a like to that human, Empress." A soothing voice of a woman reached her.

"Aren't you curious about him too, why don't you go and find out more." She said calmly.

A golden light flashed. A woman with a gorgeous figure appeared. She too had a veil on her face. Her figure could only be described as heavenly.

A pink hue was constantly released from her body. If one wasn't strong enough they would fall into an illusion.

The Empress sat down unfazed. She tossed her a golden fruit and immediately bit hers.

"Thousands would fight catastrophic wars just to have a bite of this divine fruit. But now it has no major effect for our bodies. Many seeking Immortality can't miss a chance." Aurora the Divine Beast, known as the Nine tailed fox said softly.

Her actions carried a charm of their own. It was suicide for any weak being to be in her presence. They could unconsciously turn into puppets.

"Your right about that. Those days are still vivid as if it was yesterday. Much blood was drown once these fruits were spotted. Luckily I got some. Am that lucky right." She said with a smile.

But Aurora just shook her head and took a bite.
