Chapter 115. Meeting Lex I

"Lady Eya, the princess's envoy preparations are nearly completed. We should be able to leave in the next half an hour," a servant spoke to Eya who had just finished taking a bath after returned back to her house from a session of training.

"Okay, thanks for telling me. You may return," Eya replied after giving her a firm nod as she down on her chair next to a small fireplace.

'The time to leave is nearing...' thought Eya. The Sacred Silk Competition was originally a tournament that was formed by the Jade Emperor from many years ago inside his empire. This tradition remained until the sixth Jade Emperor decided to open the event to the whole continent as a means to try and rope in talents and it had stayed like this until today. And every time this event occurred, each king in the empire was required to come to spectate.

A slight smile appeared on Eya's face as she spoke to herself, "It is the kingdom's blessing that we acquired him. It may not be now but in the next competition or the year to come, he will definitely become the champion and become the top talent in the continent."

Of course, the person that she was currently thinking of was Lex. Ever since Lex had entered the Drunken kingdom, he had exceeded everyone's expectations, including the Drunken Immortal himself. Lex had made it into middle condensation. At this point, he was comparable to teenagers when he himself was only around six years old. The kingdom had recruited a genius. Lex's days would be spent by him cultivating, playing with Leila, and visiting the library.

The library was a strange one for Lex. Initially, Eya had thought that he would be studying about the kingdom or something like that so she offered to get Lex a teacher but Lex had turned her offer down. And after stalking Lex for a bit, she found something strange.

Whenever Lex visited the library, he would immediately move towards the medicine and history section and run his fingers through countless books as he walked by, not reading the majority of them. He only read about one in every hundred books and their placements were random. But what was even more confusing was that after reading one, he would place the book back while shaking his head with a disappointed expression on his face. Eya was further perplexed when she witness this so she upped her level of stalking.

And upon doing this, she found a pattern. Although the books that Lex read were from a large range, coming from past and present, all had some inclusion of body types and constitutions.

Knock knock!

While she was happily getting lost in her thoughts, a series of knocks interrupted her.

"Come in," she spoke as she turned her gaze towards the door.

The door opened and the familiar silhouette of Pwea walked in, another familiar silhouette following in behind her but Eya couldn't clearly pinpoint who this person was.

"Hello, squad leader Eya, may we have a seat?" Pwea asked as she bowed.

She directed them to sit down on the chairs next to her and she began talking.

"Who is he? He feels familiar," she asked Pwea.

"Leader, this is Leo, Lex's brother," Pwea answered respectfully.

Hearing Pwea's response, Eya froze, her body looked like it had become a jade statue that was devoid of any emotion but deep inside, her mind was running amok.

"You're Leo?" Eya asked in disbelief.

How long had it been? Only about three months right?

"Nice to see you again too, Squad Leader Eya," Leo spoke with a slight smile.

"...Likewise," Eya forced out, still slightly shaken from what she had seen.

How did he get this strong in these months? Cultivation of this speed simply leaves all of the geniuses of this continent in the dust. How did he do it?

Seeing that the leader was still lost in her thoughts, Pwea took initiative and began asking, "How come you came to the Jade Empire to visit?"

Immediately, Eya's mind returned and she also looked towards Leo with interest. There had to be a reason why he came to the Jade Empire.

And then the realization suddenly hit them but before they could ask, Leo has replied, "I'm here for the Sacred Silk Competition. And since I arrived at the Empire early, I decided to come here to see Lex."

...Silence...

"So my guess was indeed right," Eya mumbled.

"How is my brother doing? Is he all right?" Leo suddenly asked.

Hearing this, Pwea smiled as she nudged her elbow to Eya and Eya answered, "Yes. He's doing excellent."

"How is he?"

"He is good. He's being put under our training and he's already at condensation realm."

"I don't care about his cultivation," Leo suddenly interrupted and spoke with a slightly cold tone, "Is he happy here? Is he getting treated well here?"

What Leo had just said shook Eya for a bit. She calmly regained her composure and answered, "He is very happy here. We were able to get the royal bloodline in his body under control and he is treated as someone important. The princess hangs out with him often."

This answer seemed to satisfy Leo as he nodded and his mood lightened, "I see. Where is he right now?"

"Oh. He should be eating food right now at the palace. We are preparing to travel to the capital in the next hour," Eya replied.

"I see," Leo spoke as he suddenly got up and walked out.

"Uh?" Pwea and Eya were left in shock.

"Pwea follow him!" Eya spoke as a panicked expression appeared on her face, "Take him there. He will probably be stopped by the guards."

Pwea hurriedly got up and made her way out after giving Eya a short bow and running out after Leo.

"Leo, wait!" she called out as she caught up with him, "Let me take you there."

Leo simply nodded and the two made their way into the castle. The guards initially stopped him but after hearing that he was a personal guest of the Princess's guard, they let them pass.

"This palace is really big," Leo commented as he stared at the hallways of the palace and admired its intricate designs.

"Of course it is. This is the house of the Drunker Immortal," Pwea replied with pride.

They then stopped upon a large door that was currently closed.

"This is it. Please wait, I'll ask the master to let you in," Pwea spoke as she told Leo to wait outside as she knocked on the door.

"Enter," an old sagely voice sounded from inside the door and Pwea walked in.

It was a huge dining room with a small opening in the corner, which led to the kitchen. Eating on the large dining table in the middle of the room was the royal family which was the king, his wife, his son, and his daughter, also sitting next to them was Lex. The smell of aromatic foods filled the room, and a small smile appeared on Leo's face.

'They seem to be treating him well,' he thought.

"Your majesty, I apologize for my rude intrusion," Pwea spoke as she walked to the end of the table, opposite from the Immortal and bowed.

"What is it, Pwea?" the immortal asked nonchalantly as he continued enjoying his meal and everyone turned their heads towards Pwea curiously.

"I have a guest who wants to meet Prince Lexus. May I borrow him for a moment?" Pwea respectfully requested.

"A guest for Lexus?" the immortal's interest was caught. He looked towards Lex with a curious look, "Do you know who it might be?"

Lex had a completely confused look on his face. He did not interact much with the people in the kingdom. Most of his interactions were with the royal family so he had no idea of who it could be.

"I have no idea," he replied curiously. He did not got out much and rarely interacted with people outside so he also found it strange to find out that someone was looking for him.

"I also want to meet this guy. There's no need to let Lexus go out, bring him in. I want to meet him too," the immortal told Pwea.

"Okay, your highness," Pwea replied and she turned around and walked to the door.

Okay... I think I'm back... If there are any people who have stuck through and kept this in their library. You have my greatest thanks. I have realized that the flaws with this book and so I am planning towrite a new novel. But I won't stop with this book until I have finished it...(Or until I think I have finished it)
