11 No Partners so far

Everyone was now at the Beacon cliff and they were overlooking a forest.

There were several students, all of them were the ones that was recently enrolled, and they are standing on silver tiles in front of a mug-holding Professor Ozpin and Glynda with her tablet.

Jin was besides his twin sister and wore a serious look on his face.

"For years, you have trained to become warriors, and today your abilities will be evaluated in the Emerald Forest." Ozpin said before Glynda steps forward.

"Now, I'm sure many of you have heard rumors about the assignment of 'teams'. Well, allow us to put an end to your confusion. Each of you will be given teammates.....today."

"What?! Ohhh..." Ruby exclaimed in shock while Jin narrowed his eyes.

"These teammates will be with you for the rest of your time here at Beacon. So it is in your best interest to be paired with someone with whom you can work well."

Ozpin said which made Ruby groan, but he ignored it as he continues, "That being said, the first person you make eye contact with after landing will be your partner for the next four years."

"Whaaaat?!" Ruby exclaimed out loud while Jin could only smirk in anticipation.

'I just wonder who.....I can work with anyone. Even if they're complete apes and morons, I can just carry their asses and 1 v 3'

"See? I told you!" A girl with orange hair said to the person beside her.

"After you've partnered up, make your way to the northern end of the forest. You will meet opposition along the way. Do not hesitate to destroy everything in your path.....or you will die." Ozpin said with a serious tone in the end.

"Well this what we sign up for anyway." Jin muttered under his breath as he rolled his eyes at the obvious thing about the test.

Jaune just laughs nervously and then gulps loudly as Ozpin continues in his instructions.

"You will be monitored and graded through the duration of your initiation, but our instructors will not intervene. You will find an abandoned temple at the end of the path containing several relics. Each pair must choose one and return to the top of the cliff. We will reguard that item, as well as your standing, and grade you appropriately."

"Now, are there any questions?"

"Yeah, um, sir?" Jaune asked as he raised his hand but Ozpin ignored him and said.

"Good! Now, take your positions."

Everyone goes on a pose on their tile. The girl in orange hair crouches low, the boy in green clothing takes out his weapons, Yang raises her fists, Ruby readies her body, Jin crouches in a jumping position as he was planning to jump along with the tile as it launches him off, and Jaune was still raising his hand.

"Uh, sir? I've got, um..... a question." Jaune said as he continues nervously.

"So, this landing.....strategy thing.....Uh, wha-what is it? You're, like, dropping us off or something?"

"No. You will be falling."

"Oh, uh, I see.....So, like, did you hand out parachutes for us?"

"No. You will be using your own landing strategy."

"Uh-huh.....Yeah."

At her turn, Yang winks at her siblings and puts on her aviators glasses before she flies off with a "Woo-hoooooooo!"

Ruby joins her and then Jin joins the duo as he was launched flying into the air.

He flew into the air for few seconds before he was nearing the ground. He then did a superhero landing with a big boom, leaving a large crater on his landing spot.

Jin looks around and saw that no one was around, he then starts running through the forest with a normal running speed as he was carefully scanning every area for other people.

His first objective was to find a partner before heading towards the temple.

He heard a noise in one of the bushes, and then a wild Beowolf appeared running beside him. The Grimm let out a howl and charges at Jin.

Beowolves were large, dark and had a wolf-like body. They had bone-like masks with red markings like any createds of Grimm, as well as having bone-like spikes protrusing from their arms, back, and knees. Their hands and feet are also tipped with long and sharp white claws. They also stand on their hind legs, albeit with a slouch, and are extremely muscular.

A trace of red light can only be seen before the Beowolf's body was suddenly cut in half.

Another Beowolf jumped behind him, but again, only a trace of red light was visible, before the Grimm's body was cut in half.

A pack of Beowolves was running along side Jin and they all pounced at him, but he just smirked.

In the next second, there were traces of red lights, as the bodies of the Beowolves were suddenly cut in half.

"Hmmmm....."

Jin sensed some movements on the a big bush in front of him, and in that bush, came out an Alpha Beowolf, who was twice the size of the normal ones.

The Alpha Beowolf charged at him and Jin just touched the hilt of his blade.

The moment the Grimm was near him, it was suddenly split in half, and Jin was seen putting Mythic Edge back to its sheathe.

His slash was so fast that it was barely visible, except for the red streaks of light.

"Hmm.....Nothing so far." Jin said as he looks around.

"No partner yet and the temple is a few miles away."

Just as Jin was about to run off again, he suddenly heard multiple Beowolves howling from his left.

"Oh! Someone's there! And they're in trouble!"

Jin turned into a blur as he dashed his way towards the howling sounds. He was hoping that the guy or girl over there was still holding their ground against those Beowolves.

As Jin was nearing the area, he saw some smoke and smelled burned wood.

He arrived at the area but he just saw some trees being burned, and he was greeted by a pack of Beowolves running towards him.

"That person must have escaped."

Jin just sighed as the Beowolves were howling while charging at him. Jin saw the Alpha leading the charge, who was thrice the size of a normal Alpha Beowolf.

"Wow, look at that thing." Jin said before releasing his Aura.

His body was covered with red Aura and his Aura formed into a giant skeleton, causing the Beowolves to stop from their charge and step back in fear. The giant skeletal avatar was releasing a powerful pressure and the Beowolves couldn't move a muscle.

Jin moved his right hand and the skeletal avatar did the same, before swinging it with great speed towards the group of Beowolves.

The force of the impact instantly killed all the Beowolves as their bodies were sent flying towards several trees and boulders.

The Alpha Beowolf survived the strikes somehow and it quickly gets up. It knew that the entity before it was extremely strong, so it did a wise thing and started to run away.

The skeletal avatar's arms extended rapidly as it neared towards the running Grimm and grabbing it before crushing its body.

Jin stopped using his Aura and the skeletal avatar disappeared. He then walks towards the crushed corpse of the abnormally large Alpha Beowolf and stares at it while letting out a whistle.

"Now that's a big ass doggo. Probably the biggest one I've seen."
