You're Hired

James looked at her with a calm but serious expression. He might've disregarded the law but he still couldn't care less. After his fiance died he decided to ignore her remark about him breaking the law.

"I think you should leave Miss," he said to her.

Elizabeth was taken aback by his response. He was supposed to agree that why she made it her plan B but how come he was sending her out.

Elizabeth stood up and immediately brought out a pen from her bag and wrote something on the file in front of him.

"There, call me whenever you change your mind," she said before walking out.

James just stared at her retreating back before his gaze fell on the file and he saw what she wrote. He sighed when he saw she wrote her number for him to call.

James closed his eyes and leaned back on his chair. He opened them after with a sigh.

"Eric?" He called.

"Sir," Eric was there within seconds.

"Eric, get the report from the police. Something doesn't seem to add up here."
