ITACHI AND THE THIRD.

 | Authors note: Hiruzen, The Third Hokage of Konohagakure will be referred to as The Third from now on. |

"Who is that kid? What is that kid?" Itachi asked while standing opposite a seated old man in white ceremonial clothes and hat. The Third had changed back into his Hokage attire upon entering the Hokage mansion with Itachi who he asked earlier to make himself comfortable but remained standing.

"What do you mean by 'what'?" The Third asked with a sigh as he reclined back into his chair. He had a long day issuing permits and signing documents concerning missions within the village since the village's repair was still ongoing and high-ranking personnel had to put their missions away from the village on hold for now. The gold received from Gilgamesh at his birthplace hastened the construction and village projects run smoothly since then.

The Third also wanted the opinion of someone whose ocular powers were leagues above what the ordinary eye could see and waited for Itachi's answer.

"It was simply absurd what I saw. I thought he had a tailed beast sealed in him and was losing control for a moment, maybe that's why the foundation wanted to neutralize the problem and probably add that world power to the village's ranks but under Lord Danzo." Itachi surmised as he kept a calm gaze on The Third.

The Third looked at Itachi as if expecting more from what he got and wasn't disappointed, "But that was not the case, since I saw Kakashi and The Third arrive moments after subdued the threat to the boy. I originally planned to put him on a genjutsu to calm him down and bring him here directly." Itachi continued.

'Tch, he still calls Kakashi before me. Well, I guess he is his direct senior now in the Anbu.' The Third thought as he felt a tinge of anger that soon dissipated.

"But one thing is for sure. That boy was moulding chakra and another foreign energy that I haven't sensed in all of my espionage missions as a chunin ninja to date. That was what caused his fluctuation in his chakra release." Itachi said continuing his observation on Gilgamesh.

'Another type of energy that Itachi doesn't even know about?' The Third questioned himself in thought.

"Just his chakra release was already as much as a tailed beast! As soon as he managed to mould these two energies to coexist, I couldn't sense any chakra from him again. Normally I can track people just based on their chakra signatures they unconsciously release in the atmosphere except for a few experts that hide their chakra well. I couldn't even see his chakra flow again. It was as if he was just existing without chakra." Itachi concluded with his eyes closed.

The Third was already on the verge of standing up as he pondered through Itachi's analysis.

"I would suggest bringing in Lord Hiashi Hyuga of the Hyuga clan to have a look at the boy. I think under the guidance of Kakashi Senpai, the boy would do fine. But it would be a waste not to train him now to become one of the strengths of the village."

"Hmm, I see. I would look into it." The Third nodded in agreement.

"Also, you haven't told me about the boy and his Origins." Itachi looked directly into The Third's eyes as he asked.

"Haha…." The Third gave a weak laugh.

"We don't know his Origins." The Third gave Itachi a tired smile. The Third then explained the golden pillar of light that descended from the sky to the earth and how they found him. He also told him about how Gilgamesh would casually say 'he is the King of the world and how everything belonged to him' sometimes.

"This is interesting indeed. So, from what you are saying, he might not be from this world but was born or sent here. Hmm. For what purpose? King of the world? Let's wait and see then." Itachi said as he turned to leave.

"This information…" Itachi asked as he turned his back in The Third's direction.

"…Is purely confidential and should be treated as such. Now five people know about this. The Anbu watching him only know that he is somebody the Hokage wants to observe." The Third replied sternly.

"Fine. What's his name?" Itachi asked.

"His name is Gilgamesh." The Third answered and was surprised he could finally pronounce his name properly.

Itachi after confirming his name dispersed into a small cloud of smoke that filled The Third's vision as he left the office through the windows.

'Gilgamesh…' The Third sat in deep thought for a few minutes and then dozed off on his desk.

Gilgamesh yawned as he woke up and unintentionally released his magical energy and could now sense half of the village.

'Oh, that's new.' Gilgamesh thought to himself as he did a couple of stretches and went to his bathroom to brush his teeth and have a shower. After showering and changing to another new pair of the same clothes he thought of Naruto and suddenly his senses picked up on his location.

'That's odd. Are his parents out for work already this early?' Gilgamesh thought as he walked to his living room and looked at a clock that was on the floor resting on the wall at a sixty-degree angle.

Kakashi bought the clock and forgot to nail it to the wall since Jiraiya had released a Christmas special bonus novel at the time. As he kept thinking about Naruto, visions of a young blonde man with bangs in his late twenties wearing a long white jacket that read 'The Fourth Hokage' on its back was trying to fend off a massive ball of destructive chakra that intended to destroy the village and the man standing on a statue that resembled him.

'No way. I just recently learned about the great stone faces. The fourth that died defending the village from a nine-tailed beast…' Gilgamesh thought as he raced to the balcony to get a look at the great stone faces. It was raining outside so fewer people could be seen on the streets. Gilgamesh quickly jumped out of his balcony and down to the ground. He stayed on the last floor in a two-story building that was occupied by all the Anbu ninjas who took shifts watching Gilgamesh. Gilgamesh knew of this since the time he could sense people through walls and great distances.

'I will have to check this out and confirm if this is another one of my abilities.' Gilgamesh thought as he began running like the ninjas in the village that assume bent stance with their arms stretched behind their backs looking like soaring birds.
