Act 6, Chapter 3

"Well...uhm..." you started to stammer.

You didn't have to tell him everything, right?

You could let out a handful of things, like Chrollo's role in your dream.

"I had to marry Hisoka in my dream..." you finally mumbled.

"I don't think that one thing upsets you that much." Chrollo was absolutely right with his statement and if it wasn't for the situation you would've appreciated it.

But how were you supposed to explain to him that ever since you sat up in your bed all you could think about was him and that stupid dream?

And why the hell did you still feel his lips on yours, why did you want to feel that feeling again and in real life?

Chrollo sat down on the bed next to you, getting closer to your face as you avoided his gaze.

"N-no that's all!" you jumped off the bed and ran towards the boxes as you couldn't bare Chrollo this close to your face anymore.

"I just don't like him that much, that's why it annoys me so much." You grabbed the folded boxes and tucked them under your arm.

You left the room quickly, but Chrollo caught you in the living room.

"You sure that's all?" he questioned and you could have slapped him across his, handsome, fae when you saw the smirk on it.

He knew there was more.

"Yes!" you called into the house because meanwhile you were standing at the garbage cans in front of the house and were stuffing the boxes into them.

You dragged the paper bin to the driveway and put it to a stop there.

You were a bit sorry that the people who picked up the garbage had to drive out so far just for you.

You walked back inside, Chrollo was already waiting for you on the stairs to the upper floor, but before he could say anything you started to speak.

"Say Chrollo..." you started, avoiding his eyes because you could almost feel that he was still grinning.

"...why is the house so far away from everything?" you complete your question and glance at the clock.

Shit, if you didn't leave now you'd be too late.

You quickly scurried to the living room and packed your bag from yesterday then your way led you to the kitchen where you threw lunch and something to drink from the fridge into the bag.

"I think someone just wanted some rest." Chrollo replied calmly while you almost ran through the first floor.

"I have to go now, see you later!" you said quickly as you grabbed your keys and walked out the door.

You locked the door behind you and got in your car.

As you pulled out the driveway you could see Chrollo waving upstairs in the bedroom window.

You did the same, but a moment later you almost braked again when you saw something bright pink flashing in the corner of your eye.

But you ignored it.

You had no way of knowing that Chrollo didn't wave goodbye to you but rather greeted someone else.

Despite the traffic, you got to work on time.

When you walked into the lounge, an amused Hisoka was sitting at one of the tables watching you put your things in your locker.

You were bothered by his look at you but when you turned around you smiled and greeted him friendly.

But instead of greeting you back he replied "Pretty close...don't you think?"

Those words made you clench your jaw so you didn't throw something really nasty at him or gouge his eyes out.

"I'm sorry." You said quietly after you collected yourself for a moment.

He got up and walked to the door you were standing by.

You did your best not to flinch as he placed a hand on your shoulder and then between your shoulder blades.

With the words "Off to work." and an almost disgusting grin, he then pushed you out of the lounge.

Today's working day wasn't much different from yesterday, only that it was a bit longer.

You sorted many products in while Hisoka seemed to forget that he had work to do himself and kept talking and talking.

Every now and then a customer would come up to you to ask where something was, Hisoka would then point in the direction of where the item was and the customer would disappear.

"Tell me Hisoka..." he had insisted yesterday that you call him by his first name, you would have much preferred to call him by his last name 'Morrow' though.

Calling him Hisoka felt like you were friends which you weren't, at least in your eyes.

"Mmh?" Hisoka hummed questioningly without even letting you continue.

"..is there something like a city library here?" you asked, putting the last product for today on the shelf.

"Why?" Hisoka only replied and you would have liked to take out the milk you had just put in and throw it in his face.

Why would he want to know why you wanted to go to the city library?

"I want to check out the books there," you said, trying not to sound annoyed.

Hisoka grinned and you thought he was going to say something crazy again, but instead he described the way to the library for you.

You thanked him and in the parking lot you said goodbye.

You didn't really want to go to the library today, but you were happy to do so for Chrollo.

It was late afternoon and when you looked at the sky you could see thick, gray clouds hanging there, impatiently waiting to finally be rid of their burden.

It was quite pleasant weather when you had made your lunch break a few hours earlier.

You thought it was a shame that you missed out on the good weather, but there was nothing you could do about it.

Just as you could see the library it started to rain and when you got out of your car it was pouring cats and dogs.

In desperation you held your hand over your face to avoid the rain at least a little.

Unfortunately, the rest of the piece up to the library was enough to make you soaking wet in front of the door.
