8 Windrise

Windrise a vast green plain with an ancient, monumental large oak tree growing in its middle. The Statue of The Seven was built under the shade of the oak tree that was so large that Jack could see even from far away.

The plain was so vast that it was easy for Jack to spot some animal lurking around. He could aim a crane very easily too.

Jack felt happy to get some raw meat and fowl. On the way to Statue, monsters like slimes appeared. It was just several hydro slimes that Jack and Bennett defeated without trouble, so the walk went smoothly until they found a hilichurl camp behind some small hill and stones.

Two hilichurl shooters and normal hilichurl, so it was not that difficult to defeat by the two of them. Two hilichurl shooters had more time to reload than Jack's reload. So Jack focused on attacking the shooters while Bennett killed the normal one.

"This is… chest, isn't it?" Jack said it while checking the hilichurl camp. Maybe Jack found some food in their camp.

"Ah, yes…" Bennett takes a look at the chest and opens it. "This is…" He was silent for a moment. "I think maybe they kept their loot from humans. Here." He added.

Inside the chest, there were primogen, moras, some enchantment ores, and weapons too.

"I heard hilichurl sometimes kept their loot and made this kind chest in the middle of their camp as a trap or enticing adventurer or human." Bennett told Jack about the chest in the hilichurl camp that he got from his fathers.

Jack nodded as he understood that logic. That's why there was a chest. Also, it showed how smart hilichurl was. At the same time, how dangerous they can be.

From then on, they walked again toward the oak tree, meeting other hydro slimes, before Jack saw some windwheel aster nearby.

"That's why we came to clean this statue." Jack commented as he found that the Statue was still color red since the twin hadn't come to this world.

Also, this Statue's condition was quite terrible, so Jack thought that there must be anemoculus somewhere in this world.

"Yes... I will make this Statue shiny again." Bennett looked highly motivated.

Behind the giant oak tree, there was a small river that connected to the sea.

"Jack! There was another hilichurl camp across the river." Bennett talked about hilichurl camp that was pretty easy to detect as they had a tower in the camp with hilichurl shooter on the top. While three other hilichurl near the fire camp.

Jack wondered what happened the last time they fought large cryo slimes. He had the feeling that he could pyro attack, but that happened when Bennett used his skill. So he didn't know if it was his skill or Bennett or maybe both.

The last fight with Large Cryo Slime was difficult since the location we fought was advantageous for cryo elemental. This time, we fought Large Hydro Slimes in the river, which were the same elemental and wouldn't get Jack and Bennett to another elemental reaction like frozen in yesterday's fight.

Bennett immediately used his skill 'Inspiration Field' that could heal and bost an attack. While he fought the Large Hydro Slimes, Jack sniped the cryo slimes that sometimes lived around rivers or water areas.

Like before, Jack could feel his attack imbued with pyro and gave the cryo slimes pyro damage. It made an elemental reaction and gave Jack's attack extra damage, which convinced Jack that Bennett's skill gave him a short time to use a pyro attack.

While Bennet's pyro attack covered the large slimes and gave the slimes an elemental reaction, vaporize that gave it extra damage.

Fought Large Slimes with numbers was easier after all.

In the end, Benny's adventurer cleared up all of the monsters that they could find around Windrise. Two hillichurl camps had various hillichurl, like berserker hilluchurl and pyro hilluchirl shooter, but they were still easy to slaughter.

They also cleared cryo slimes that were easily found in the river.

This clearing takes their time, and the day has been dark, so they camp out in nearby Windrise. Across the larger tree oak in the southwest.

Jack cleaned the Statue for a bit before the dinner while Bennett prepared the fire and the camp.

The reason Jack was camping out was to save time so they could go to Dragonspine. An area in the southeastern part of Mondstadt. It was a vast mountain engulfed with ancient ruins and snow-capped regions. It said that some treasure hoarders had been sighted around that mountain.

They needed to defeat the treasure hoarder to complete all of Bennett's material to ascend.
