Chapter 9

The man took the permit card, looked at it, and his eyes widened. "No way! You are just a 13-year-old kid! Did you get stuck in some sort of machine and get stretched?! You are the tallest fucking kid I've ever seen in my life!"

Indra merely filled out the form and thought about the Ragvindr family. He knew they were major exporters in the Mondstadt wine industry, the biggest sellers of dandelion wine in Mondstadt and the seven nations.

Mondstadt had gone through some interesting events lately. After the renowned warrior, Vennesa, freed Mondstadt from aristocracy, it finally had a proper government. He had heard that Vennesa had ascended to Celestia and had become something akin to a god, now known as the Falcon of the West, one of the four winds.

Indra handed the form to the man and took the permit back. "When do I have to escort the goods and from where?"

The man folded the form, put it in his pocket, and said, "In two days at the entrance to the city, 6 AM sharp. You'll get the payment once you've completed the job. If you need any help, I'll be at this address." The man pulled out a card with an address and gave it to Indra.

"What an interesting kid," the man muttered as Indra walked away with the card in hand.

- Indra POV -

Indra put the card away and concentrated on the thing that piqued his interest.

A Fatui agent. (No Harbingers exist right now, and the Fatui are kinda different than in the canon.)

The Fatui. An organization led by the Tsaritsa of Snezhnaya. Its initial purpose was to help the Tsaritsa in the Archon War. Later on, after the Archon War came to an end, it was disbanded by the Tsaritsa, but later, for some unknown reasons, it was re-established. Now its deeds were very questionable, conquering lands for Snezhnaya, exploiting governments and poor civilizations, slaughter, scandals, oppression, and many other questionable things.

The Fatui agent in front of him had a huge bag in hand. He was exiting the Northland Bank.

An opportunity to gain Mora presented itself before him. Take the bag of Mora from the Fatui agent. Now the Northland bank certainly wouldn't be quiet if such large sums of money and one of their agents were to disappear. But who cared; no one would know. He would kill the Fatui agent and take the bag of Mora.

Indra observed the Fatui agent and concealed his presence, starting to follow the agent, his steps as silent as the cold night of the now barren villages of Watatsumi.

Ding!

Medium Difficulty Hunt: Fatui Agent.

All the more reason to kill the agent.

After some time passed, it was night now. Indra had been following the agent for more than an hour; the agent hadn't let go of the bag for even a single moment.

The streets were relatively less vibrant and quieter now as everyone went about their business. The people were so immersed in their own work that they wouldn't even notice if someone walked behind them with a sword. Pathetic.

They were now in a silent alley; the Fatui agent stopped and went into a corner where there was a woman waiting for him.

Indra scanned the surroundings to make sure that no one would witness him taking out the agent and the woman.

The agent approached the woman, but before words could escape his mouth, a crack was heard.

Indra's hands had gripped the chin and back of the agent's head, breaking it in an instant.

The woman's eyes widened, and as she was about to scream, a kick crashed into the side of her head; her skull was completely crushed, and so was most of her spine. She crashed into the wall and fell down dead.

Indra grabbed the body of the man and the woman alongside the Mora bag and jumped through the shadows silently.

Within seconds, he was out of the city, no Milelith was able of even sensing his presence let alone catch him.

Near the path leading to lingju pass, Indra went near a tree and started digging with the shovel he stole from a blacksmiths shop while on his way out.

Within a minute he had dug a hole big enough for the two bodies to fit in.

He threw the agent and the woman into the hole and filled the hole back quickly.

That area stood out from the rest, Indra knelt down and placed his hand on the ground and focused electro energy on very specific parts of the dirt.

Dendro energy flowed throughout teyvat through the leylines like the rest of the elements. When Electro came into contact with dendro, two reactions could take place, Aggravate if the electro energy was stronger or Quicken if the dendro energy was stronger.

Quicken caused the grass and any plants in the area of effect to grow faster. Although to cause quicken on natural land without any external dendro energy was nigh impossible. But not for him.

He had practiced his electro energy control alot when he used to work for the Old farmer and had already mastered this.

In an instant, grass started growing above the area where the bodies were buried and it started blending in with the rest of the area.

Indra stood up and now looked at the Mora bag in his hand. The agent was carrying a very big amount of Mora. From the sheer weight he could tell that it was probably around 200k or 300k.

He had more than enough to rent a hotel room and buy a good sword.

Indra quickly tucked the Mora bag away and walked towards the entrance and swiftly entered the city without being noticed by the Milelith.

He walked around the streets searching for an inn, after some time, he found one and he quickly entered it.

Upon entering the inn, he was greeted by a middle aged woman at the counter, the woman looked at him and eyed him up and down and blushed a little but smirked flirtatiously, "Need a room? Handsome sir."

Indra merely nodded with his cold and emotionless look still intact.

The woman looked a little crestfallen as her attempt to flirt with him and maybe even get in bed with this amazingly handsome stud failed miserably.

She sighed, "May I please see your permit? I don't think you are from Liyue."

Indra pulled out his permit and handed it to her.

The woman inspected the permit and her eyes widened upon seeing the age of the ma- no boy in the permit, she looked at and back at the permit and blinked before finally getting a hold of herself.

"Ok.... The usual price for a night is 2,000 Mora, but for you, Handsome young man. I'll make it 1,000." The woman said in a flirtatious tone as she got closer to Indra and handed him the permit and snaked her hand over his arm.

This was just a 14 year old boy, a young and eager handsome boy, at the age where his hormones would be raging and he was the right age since age of consent in the seven nations was 14. It would be foolish of her to lose such an opportunity to spend the night with a handsome young man like him.

Indra's face was still stone cold and uneffected by the woman's advances towards him, to be honest, he really didn't understand much but he was sure that she was flirting with him but he couldn't care less.

Indra pulled the mora out of the bag and placed it on the counter, "Room number and key?"

The woman, clearly disappointed by Indra's lack of reaction to her advances, regained her composure and handed him a key. "Room 203, right upstairs," she said, maintaining a hint of flirtation in her voice.

Indra took the key without uttering a word and ascended the stairs to find his room. As he opened the door, a modest but clean space greeted him. The dim light revealed a simple bed, a small table, and a window offering a glimpse of the night sky over Liyue.

To be continued.
