Chapter 1Chapter 1

(This chapter won't be fixed much on Indra rather the circumstances which led to his exile)

- Inazuma -

The atmosphere in the Kayuta clan compound was of grief. The clan head, Kuon. Had died during the battle which had broken out between the soldiers of the god, Orobashi. And the samurai of Inazuma.

At the house of the clan head, a woman could be seen weeping, she was the wife of the clan head, Sumei. In the garden two children could be seen, one was a girl and the other a boy. Both the girl and the boy were only seven years old although the boy seems very tall for his age, They were Indra and Rei. The twin children of the clan head.

On the wooden compound near the garden was a young woman who was 21 years old, she was the eldest daughter of the clan head, Rui. She looked at the chidren but then her gaze fixed on Indra, The next in line Clan Heir. Initially when she was born, she was given the title of the clan heir as the eldest daughter. But when Indra born he received the Clan heir title as the eldest son.

Jealousy and Envy could be seen starting to appear in her eyes but they quickly drowned out when the figure of a woman entering the house through gate could be seen.

It was Kitsune Saiguu, the clan head of the Hakushin Clan and the Kitsune Goddess. She had hair as white as snow just like the current residents of the house. Her eyes were red like ruby. She had a white tail. Her eyes drifted towards the children in the garden.

Rei was playing in the garden with a radiant smile unaware of the happenings while Indra.... Indra sat on a tree branch, staring Lifelessly at a leaf that was in his hands. His eyes were dead and empty mirroring the emptiness of a void mirroring the look of his older sister, Rui.

Saiguu looked at the children with a sad face.

She turned and went to the house, and entered it. She saw the widow of the clan head sitting lifelessly on a chair while sobbing.

She walked up to the widow,

"I am very sorry about what happened." Saiguu said while bowing.

Sumei looked at her with lifeless eyes. "Tell me Saiguu, what do I do? Everything feels like it's crumbling apart. If that was not enough Indra has lost any remaining emotion that was left in him, he is like a empty shell now, he keeps on training day and night torturing his body. I had to tell Rui to force him into stopping otherwise he just wouldn't stop." Sumei said as her lifeless eyes started to gain a glimmer of light in them.

Saiguu put her hands on her shoulder, "Sumei. I promise you that I will protect your children."

Sumei just looked at her as her eyes continued to shed tears, "What will I do now? All the responsibilities of the clan head fell onto me, I don't care about that but what do I choose between looking at my children or the clan? Even Rui has started to fight with me saying that I give the role of clan head to her as it was her right which was given to Indra who is far too young right now."

"I am sorry for all the stress. We can talk about the clan affairs later." Said Saiguu.

Sumei looked at Saiguu.

"What do I do now?" She asked Saiguu, "Kuon is dead and I don't know what to do."

Saiguu was speechless, "You do not need to worry, you have me and the rest of the clans to help you."

Sumei stared at Saiguu with empty eyes, "Why did it have to come to this?"

"I don't know."

As the night wore on, the heaviness in the air lingered within the Kayuta clan compound. Sumei, still grappling with the weight of her grief, looked at Saiguu with a mix of desperation and confusion.

Saiguu, choosing her words carefully, said, "Right now, focus on your family. The clan will understand. We'll find a way to share the responsibilities until a more suitable solution emerges."

Sumei nodded, feeling a slight reassurance in Saiguu's presence. The two women, bound by a shared responsibility for the clan, continued their conversation.

Meanwhile, on the outskirts of the compound, Rui observed from a distance. The desire for leadership, the yearning for recognition, fueled her internal struggle. Unable to contain herself any longer, Rui stepped forward into the moonlit courtyard.

"Mother, Saiguu," Rui hesitated before speaking, "I understand the weight on your shoulders, but I can't stand by while the clan remains in limbo. I have the right to lead, to ensure the Kayuta Clan's future."

Sumei, her eyes reflecting a mix of sorrow and determination, responded, "Rui, it's not about your right or Indra's. It's about what's best for the clan. We must find a way to move forward together."

Saiguu, sensing the tension, interjected, "Unity is our strength. Let us not let internal conflicts weaken us. The Kayuta Clan needs both your strengths, and we must find a way to reconcile these differences."

Sumei sighed, "Rei is still far too immature, she doesn't understand anything and Indra is so mature and Calculating at his age that it's starting to worry me. Besides, the tengu are going to come to tell their prophecy regarding the future of the clan and Inazuma aren't they?"

Saiguu nodded, "Yes, they will gather near the statue of the omnipresent god, you better be present there at the evening, it's a crucial event you cannot miss it, after all, it only happens once every century."

As the day unfolded, the anticipation in the Kayuta clan compound heightened. Sumei, accompanied by Saiguu, prepared for the gathering near the statue of the omnipresent god, where the tengu would deliver their prophecy regarding the future of the clan and Inazuma.

The compound buzzed with a subdued energy, and Rui, despite her internal struggles, joined the preparations. The looming prophecy added an air of uncertainty, intensifying the already complex dynamics within the clan.

As evening approached, the clan members gathered near the statue. The atmosphere was hushed, and the flickering lanterns cast shadows on somber faces. The tengu, perched on the branches, began their ritualistic dance, a precursor to the prophecy that would unfold.

Sumei stood at the forefront alongside the other clan heads, her gaze fixed on the tengu. Beside her, Saiguu offered a silent support. Rui, torn between personal ambitions and the collective fate of the clan, stood among the crowd, her eyes occasionally glancing towards Indra, who remained aloof, lost in his own contemplations.

The Raiden Shogun, was standing near the statue, looking down upon the ongoing event.

The tengu's dance grew more intricate, and the air filled with an otherworldly energy. As the dance reached its climax, the lead tengu stepped forward, its voice echoing through the night. It's eyes aimed at the figure of Indra.

"That boy! He will bring destruction and death to Inazuma! He will be the reason for the fall of Inazuma!" Said the tengu, the other tengus directly glared at the boy.

The tengu who did the ritual looked at Sumei who was still in shock, "Woman! Kill that boy! Your boy is a threat to Inazum-"

"SILENCE!"

The voice roared from atop the stage, The Raiden Shogun glared down at the tengu.

The Raiden Shogun's stern gaze silenced the tengu, their proclamation hanging in the air. The tension in the gathering escalated, and the compound fell into an uneasy stillness.

Sumei, torn between the words of the tengu and the protective instinct for her son, looked at the Raiden Shogun with a mix of confusion and desperation.

The Shogun spoke with authority, "The words of the tengu carry weight, but we shall not act in haste. The future is not set in stone, and Inazuma's fate is a tapestry woven by many threads."

The tengu, now subdued, retreated into the shadows, their ominous presence fading. The crowd whispered amongst themselves, the prophecy casting a shadow over Indra.

Saiguu, standing beside Sumei, whispered, "We must navigate these troubled waters carefully. The Raiden Shogun's intervention grants us time to discern the truth."

Sumei nodded, her eyes never leaving Indra, who remained stoic despite the unsettling revelation.

Rui, observing from the crowd, felt a surge of conflicting emotions. The desire for leadership now mingled with a newfound concern for the clan's safety.

The Raiden Shogun descended from the stage, her eyes meeting Sumei's. "This matter requires careful consideration. Let the truth reveal itself before any drastic actions are taken."

With that, the Shogun retreated her purple zapping with electricity.

Indra stood shocked with eyes wide as everyone around looked at him, some in fear, some in resentment, "The Fuck's going on?" Indra said.

Rui quickly walked through the crowd glaring at the ones who moved to cause harm to Indra, "Let's go, we need to leave, Indra."

Rui placed her hand on Indra and they disappeared.

Sumei was too about to go to the clan compound with Saiguu and the rest of the Kayuta and Hakushin Clan when the head of the Kujou clan spoke up, "Lady Sumei, we the kujou clan would too like to discuss this prophecy with you, it seems that the Kayuta is facing hard times.... First the death of it's clan head and now it's next in line heir being Propheciesed to bring destruction to the nation." He said in a calculative tone, it was clear he was considering the tengu's advice despite the shogun's warning.

Sumei, caught in a web of conflicting forces, turned to face the Kujou clan head. Her grief-laden eyes met his calculating gaze. Saiguu, standing beside her, maintained a composed demeanor, ready to support Sumei in this delicate situation.

The Kujou clan head continued, "The Raiden Shogun's caution is wise, but we cannot ignore the prophecy entirely. The balance of Inazuma is at stake. We propose a council meeting, where representatives from the clans can discuss the fate of the Kayuta heir."

Saiguu, with a subtle nod, conveyed her acknowledgment of the proposal. Sumei, though hesitant, recognized the necessity of addressing the concerns raised by the tengu's ominous words.

"Very well," Sumei replied, her voice carrying the weight of her responsibilities. "I will attend the council meeting. However, we must tread carefully and seek a solution that ensures the safety of Inazuma while preserving the integrity of the Kayuta Clan."

The Kujou clan head nodded, a hint of satisfaction in his expression. As they prepared to leave for the council meeting, Sumei cast one last glance at the now-empty courtyard, where the prophecy had cast its shadow upon her son.

- Sumei's POV -

It was like her entire life was the definition of badluck. First her husband died and the entire clan went into chaos, now her son was Propheciesed to be the destroyer of inazuma.

Just what was celestia doing to her? Was this some sort of joke to them? Were the gods entertaining themselves with her suffering? Just why?

I walked with the other clan heads in tow, now it just wasn't me and saiguu, the whole of inazuma was in it. Every single clan was gonna be present, each one demanding for the death of the "Curse" That was her son.

*Fast Forward To the Start of the meeting*

All the clan heads and elders sat down on their seats, the three commissioners having a different row for themselves.

"I propose that we kill the boy, that way there is no chance of him causing harm to Inazuma." Said the clan head of the Kaedehara clan.

"He is a child! Like the Shogun said, Inazuma is not based on prophecies! There is no way we are going to kill that child!" Said the Yashiro Commissioner as well the clan head of the Kamisato Clan.

"I agree with Kenji, it is still too early to take any major action." Said the Kanjou Commissioner.

"I too on the behalf of the Hakushin clan and the Kitsune say that it is still far too early to take any major actions against the boy." Said Kitsune Saiguu.

"I say we exile the boy, if we do not kill the boy then this is the only option, after all, the tengu's prophecy is nothing to laugh. I can't see him harming the nation if he can't be in it." Said the tenryou commissioner and the head of Kujou Clan.

"I am afraid Lady Sumei but i also agree with the words of Mister Tarou." Said the clan head of the amenoma clan.

The head of the Kaedehara clan, although not satisfied still agreed, "I also agree with him."

The other clans also nodded their head in approval, only the Kayuta, Hakushin And Kamisato were the ones not agreeing with this.

Sumei clenched her teeth, but unable to do anything.

The air in the council chamber hung heavy with tension as the various clan heads debated the fate of Indra, the heir of the Kayuta Clan. Sumei, feeling the weight of the room, struggled to maintain composure.

"I understand the concerns, but exiling a child is a severe measure. We should explore alternatives," pleaded Saiguu, her voice resonating with a hint of desperation.

The Kujou clan head, Tarou, maintained a firm stance, "The prophecy cannot be ignored. If we are to protect Inazuma, we must act decisively. Exiling the boy is a compromise, avoiding bloodshed while ensuring the safety of our nation."

The Kanjou Commissioner spoke up, "We must consider the consequences of such an action. Indra may possess qualities that could be harnessed for the greater good."

The Yashiro Commissioner added, "Killing or exiling him prematurely may push him towards the very path we seek to prevent. We should observe and guide him, rather than casting him aside."

However, the majority of the clans seemed resolute in their decision, echoing their agreement with the proposal to exile Indra. Sumei, feeling a sense of powerlessness, looked around the room, searching for an ally.

The words came to an halt when the Kujou Clan head and The Elders stood up, "it is decided, Indra Kayuta, Heir to the Kayuta Clan, is sentenced to exile. By tommorow morning he should be out of inazuma otherwise the death penalty shall be given. With that, the council is dismissed."

With that, the people present stood up and started to leave, leaving only Sumei and Saiguu.

Sumei looked down and slowly stood up as well. Saiguu tried to comfort her but Sumei stopped her, "It's for the better of the clan and Inazuma, it must be done." Said Sumei with an empty voice.

- Rui -

Rui stood outside the assembly hall, she was silent, her feelings were mixed, while Indra, her brother was being exiled on the other hand, it meant that she would immediately become the clan head as she was the second in line Heir. Ultimately the desire to become the clan head won.

- Indra -

His life was chaotic.

Two days ago, everything seemed normal, he was aloof and passive like he always was, he and his mother would take strolls around Inazuma like always and he would train.

Then his father died and now he was exiled, it felt as if the gods were toying with him. It was as if destiny was playing a cruel joke on him.

Now he looked at his elder sister, she would always stare at him with incredulous eyes and sometimes hatefilled. Now her gaze was passive, as if her desires been fulfilled.

The sun was rising, he had thirteen minutes to leave Inazuma before he was killed.

Now looking at his twin sister, he let out a annoyed sigh, he never really liked her, she was too vibrant and loud for his taste.

He remembered the times when he would train with his father, how they would clash with swords and how they would practice katas.

He, like his sister, was a prodigy, he had already mastered the Kayuta Rising Style along with the traditional Inazuman Samurai Style.

It was like yesterday he was practicing in the fields of Inazuma and now he was running away from it.

He was already out of the Kayuta clan compound, dashing towards the port, he knew there would be a boat full of Shogunate soldiers waiting for him so they can ensure that he leaves Inazuma.

And he was right, on the left there was a small boat waiting for him, there were four shogunate samurai on the boat.

He walked over and sat on the boat, no words were said between them, they were the samurai from the Yashiro Commision, had it been Tenryou Commision's samurai, he doubted he'd even be alive right now.

The boat started sailing and the samurai on the left took out a bag and gave it to him, "The clan head sent this for you kid. We will leave you off on Watatsumi island since it's still not considered Inazuman territory even though the Raiden Shogun killed Orobashi. From there maybe you can continue living there or leave for some other nation."

He took the bag and looked inside, there was alot of mora inside the bag, but it wasn't enough to sustain him forever, he will probably have to do something to feed himself.

Inside him, resentment started to rise, resentment towards the tengu's prophecy, resentment towards the tengu, resentment towards the other clans, resentment towards his clan, resentment towards his sister, resentment towards his mother, resentment towards the nation, resentment towards the shogun.

Nonetheless, he nodded at the samurai in respect, he will remember this debt.

After that, total silence reigned over the boat.

As they reached their destination, the boat stopped near the land.

He stood up and jumped off the boat but suddenly the samurai from before spoke up, "Take this kiddo, I can think you can make use of it." The Samurai threw a sheathed sword at him and he caught it, it was a Samurai Katana, it had the Amenoma symbol on it which meant it was forged by the Amenoma clan.

"Thank you." He said at the samurai, the samurai merely nodded before the boat set sail again.

He stared at the sword and then he sighed in realization.

Just what the fuck was going on with his life?

He looked at the sword, "At least I won't have to use mora to buy a good sword otherwise it would have taken up the majority of the mora i have."

Well, he looked at the nearby village, "Time to find a place to sleep in."

As he walked towards the village, an old farmer spotted him, "Hello.... Son..... Who are you? What's your name young man?" The Old Man said while smiling.

Indra looked at him, "My name is Indra. I am looking for a place I can stay at for a while."

The Old man still smiling raised an eye brow, "Why? Are you alone? How old are you?"

"I am 7 years old."

The old man's eyes widened in suprise, "you're are seven? You look much older than your age..... Your quite tall too, I thought you were atleast twelve or thirteen years old. I must ask, why are you looking for a place to stay at? Don't you have a home?"

Indra paused for a moment and thinked how he should reply, after all he can't say he was a ronin from Inazuma, "I am an orphan unfortunately the orphanage i was staying got destroyed, all i was left with this mora and this sword since i talented with swords. I promise I will not stay for free, I'll do any work you have for me, so please kind sir, will you help me?"

The old farmer, moved by Indra's story, nodded sympathetically. "Well, Indra, you seem like a strong young lad. I have a spare room in my humble abode. You can stay there, and in return, you can help me with the farm work. Does that sound fair?"

Indra expressed his gratitude, "Thank you, sir. I'll do my best to be of help."

The old man smiled, "Oh no need, By the way, my name is Kaito. Let's go, I'll show you the house and the room." The old man left his plough against the fence and came out of the farm and signalled Indra to follow him.

The Old man walked to a medium sized wooden hut, there were four rooms inside, the old man showed him his room, "Well young man, wait I can't call you that can I? Well, young boy, you can start working from tomorrow I'll teach everything to you tomorrow." With that the old man leaves, leaving Indra alone in the room.

The night settled over the small village, and Indra, now in the dimly lit room, pondered the events that led him to this humble abode. He felt a strange mix of relief and uncertainty.

As he lay on the modest straw mat, he examined the katana with the Amenoma symbol. The craftsmanship was exquisite, a stark contrast to the events that unfolded in the Kayuta Clan. The sword, now his only companion, carried a silent promise of survival.

- Next Morning -

Indra woke up early and decided to take a bath and then wore the clothes that the old man had brought for him, they were supposedly his son's old clothes.

He got his sword and left the house and headed towards the nearby forest.

- Indra's POV -

I arrived at a clearing in the forest, I had to make this a suitable training for myself as this was what I had to use for the time I was here.

I took out the katana and cleared the bushes in the area, even then the area was too small.

I looked at the trees, guess I'll just have to cut them. I went near the tree and held my katana in the traditional Inazuman Samurai Stance which was meant for raw power and slicing power and then I slashed, the tree creeked and fell down. I moved on from it and did the same to the other trees. Once I was done I had to deal with the cutten trees on the ground, I could probably sell the wood

for some mora so I started cutting them into pieces and took out the branches and left them at the side, they could be useful later.

After I finished cutting the wood, I moved it to the side and started training. I left my katana on top of a tree trunk and start doing sit ups.

After I did 500 sit ups I started doing pushups and after I did 500 pushups I started practicing hand to hand Inazuman combat style and repeated the katas.

After that, I ran around the forest for 10 times and then started practicing with my katana and went through all the katas.

At that moment i realized that I was hollow. After everything that had transpired, I felt nothing. Here I was trai yourning uneffected, had there been someone else instead of me they'd probably doing something else, yet here I was....

- General POV -

"AHH!"

Indra quickly stopped and looked towards the noise, he had no intention of saving someone but his curiosity drove him to get closer to the source of the voice.

He walked through the trees and eventually found the source of the scream.

There was a dead body of a man, it looked his upper body was completely crushed and broken he surmised that it was probably a wild creature that did that to him. But when his eyes landed near the dying vision, his eyes widened and he prepared to run.

If there was something here that could kill a vision holder, what was he going to do? But he found out that turning around to run was a bad idea as a large creature came out of the woods and tackled him sending him flying crashing into a tree.

His eyes widened when he felt the heavy impact and gagged as he spat blood, he quickly looked up to see a vishap, not just any ordinary vishap, the vishap was far too large.

The vishap roared and prepared to attack him. Indra quickly stood up wincing and got into a sword stance, he felt like death was approaching him as the vishap rushed towards him.

It is said that when people's ambitions burn bright,

A Zapping sound was heard as the vishap roared in pain.

The gods cast their gaze upon them.

In front of Indra a purple glowing orb was floating.

But what happens when the ambitions burn so bright that it blinds the gods?

It was a vision, it had a electro symbol in it.

Indra's eyes widened as he looked at the orb but suddenly it started shaking violently and then it exploded leaving behind a mass of purple energy, more energy started to come out of the ground more than the vision had left and suddenly it all rushed towards Indra as if getting sucked in by him.

Indra screamed in pain and fell down on his knees, it felt as if his skin was being struck by a million thunder bolts.

His vision went black and he fell unconscious.

In the realm between consciousness and darkness, Indra found himself surrounded by a mysterious energy. The echoes of his screams dissipated, replaced by an eerie silence.

As his senses gradually returned, he discovered a surge of electric power within him. The once empty void that plagued him now felt alive with energy, pulsating through his veins. The electro symbol on the newfound vision embedded itself in his mind.

Slowly, he rose from his knees, the pain subsiding. His eyes, now reflecting a spark of electricity, gazed at the fallen vishap. It lay motionless, the impact of the unleashed energy evident.

He held out his hand and managed to create some zaps, but how? The vision exploded didn't it? Maybe... Did he absorb the power of electro? What was the other energy that came out of the ground? Was it from the leylines?

He looked to the side at the dead body of the man and looked at the masterless vision, "I wonder what a masterless vision would be worth." He knelt down and took the vision in his hand.

Suddenly the once empty vision glowed with an ice blue light and started shaking violently, Indra dropped it on the ground and it exploded leaving behind an mass of ice blue energy and it all rushed towards Indra.

Indra's eyes widened as he stepped it felt like a hundred ice needles were being thrust into his chest.

But this time he didn't faint, gradually, the pain subsided and he held out his hand and just like before he managed to create an ice needle.

Just what was happening? He wondered and quickly took his sword and left the forest retreating to the hut of the old farmer.

He saw Kaito at the front yard, "You are awake I see."

Kaito turned to look at him and smiled, "Ahh. Indra, I looked around for you, where were you?"

Indra entered the frontyard, "I went out for a stroll around the forest."

Kaito smiled, "Ah, I see. Well let's eat breakfast and then I'll teach you on what to do and help me around the farm."

After they had breakfast, they went to the farm, Kaito instructed him on what to do and Indra grasped everything quickly.

By evening, they had finished everything.

Indra was sitting under a tree whilst leaning against it.

Indra looked down at his hand as he channeled elemental energy into it switching between cryo and electro.

Well this was gonna change his training routine.

-------------

Hey guys! Tell me how was this chapter?! Most of this chapter was kind of a mess because I was not sure how to portray the current condition of Inazuma and Indra's family at the same time. This takes place some time after the archon war, btw gods like King Deshret, Egeria Etc are still alive.

I promise the next chapter will be proper, give me some ideas for what powers he should get. It can be from genshin or some anime.

Also should I give him a system or not?
