Genshin Impact: Icy Path

A Genshin Impact fan dies and finds himself over the fantasy world of Teyvat. However, funny adventures, riches and fame were no waiting for him, instead, a cruel reality and a curse is what lay in front of him, forcing him to use all his means to protect his new loved ones, even if means falling to deepest abysm. ---- I thought about this story months ago before the actual start of the 2.0 version, finally having some time now to write it. So there would be some changes from it (For example the lost of Raiden Shogun's gnosis). Also, the story would start at the Snezhnaya, so I would invent most of it as it lacks concrete information. ---- To support me p*treon.com/picaco for chapter in advance.

Spark Knight

"Urgent call! Critical emergency! All adventurers and knights are summoned to the Knight of Favonius Headquarters." Allen woke up to the sudden news of being called to regroup.

"What could it be this time? Another attack from Stormterror?" Allen made his way to the Knight of Favonius Headquarters, finding it already full of people, with more arriving every moment. It seemed that the situation was serious, as adventurers and knights from all ranks and companies had been summoned.

"Knights and adventurers of Mondstadt," Jean announced, gaining everyone's attention as she appeared with Fischl by her side. "You may know the person beside me. She is Fischl, an investigator from the Adventurers Guild who has been monitoring Stormterror's movements. She has uncovered some terrible news. The movements of Stormterror have caused a monster stampede."

Everyone was shocked and remained silent, waiting to hear more about the situation.

"I have witnessed an horde of at least 1000 Hilichurls leaving Stormterror's lair. The majority are Hilichurls and Slimes, but there are also a significant number of Mitachurls, Samachurls, and even some Stonehide Lawachurls," Fischl reported gravely.

"1000 Hilichurls?!" "Lawachurls?!" The crowd's voices surged in shock and fear at the sheer number of monsters, and the presence of Lawachurls, which were far beyond what normal knights could hope to face.

"The stampede is leaving the lair through Brightcrown Canyon and some divisions has been detected, with some directing over Wolvedom and others to Stormbearer Mountains." Jean informed.

"We can protect Mondstadt within its walls, but I cannot say the same from the outside. That's where your cooperation is needed. We need to prepare for the evacuation of the surrounding areas, helping them to move to a secure place. We will take some at Mondstadt and we are preparing other camps to take the people within it."

"We cannot directly face such a horde, that's why we will guide it towards Mondstadt where we will face it with our walls" Jean explained the plan "We have already thought of some decoys and we will try to lower their numbers with ranged attacks while they march, so you will only need to focus on evacuating the people, the knights will take charge once the battle starts."

Murmurs started non-stop over the people. This was terrible news at the worst time when the strongest forces of Mondstadt were out in the expedition. This could really bring the destruction of the Mondstadt region as they knew, requiring a lot of time to recover after they devastated the land. But with their actual strength, it seemed the safest option.

"Can I have some words?" Breaking the murmurs someone shouted inside the group of adventurers, lifting his hand high. "I have a possible idea."

"You were Niwa Allen, no?" Jean stated, "Be free to talk, any new idea that could help is well received."

"For now, they are barely leaving the Stormterror's Lair, meaning that they are in a mostly inhabited area with a low population, making it the best place to face the horde with the minimum collateral loses." Allen explained.

"We are lacking the power to face it, even if we had more strength, the loses will surely be too high if we enter into direct combat in the open" Jean explained "That's why we decided to face it here at Mondstadt that it's the best prepared place."

"Who said to directly face it?" Allen grinned "I'm talking about using the land and destroying the horde and its surroundings. If I am not wrong, there's a very talented knight in that area."

Jean quickly realized who Allen was talking to, she turned over a door of the hall, a room meant for solitary confinement.

*Boom* A little explosion was heart and the door was opened, a cute little girl wearing red clothes surging from it with a big smile on her face "Let's go Monster Blasting!"

...

"Here!" Over Stormbearer Mountains, Klee signaled a point where to put explosions.

"No, Klee. Here will only damage the monsters in its radium of effect" Allen shook his head "If we put it twenty meters to the left, between those rocks, the resultant explosion would affect a greater area, causing a landmine directly to the point. You mustn't blindly put the explosive around, try to identify the load-bearing points to cause the biggest effect with the minimum force."

"Yes, brother Allen!" Klee's eyes shined brightly as she looked at Allen with newfound respect as he taught her how to increase her efficiency in blasting the place.

Allen was not an expert in explosions, barely being able to mix gunpowder. However, as Joseph, he had been an engineering student at the university and had some ideas about weight and forces distribution, being to more or less simulate the effects. Moreover, he also used his new senses, using little vibrations over the area to see the effect and transmissions over the land, being able to pinpoint the best course, and following the most appropriate route.

"I don't know if it is for the best to teach her this kind of things" Jean looked at Klee putting bombs with a worried face.

"It's an emergency and she is a good kid, she won't do anything too bad" Allen smiled while guiding Klee in putting the charges. "No, Klee?"

"Yes, brother Allen" She cheerfully smile while in her mind new ways of using her explosive were appearing "Do not worry, master Jean!"

"This doesn't reassure me" Jean sighed shooking her head "I'm afraid of our future." Jean said looking over the sky.

After some days of work, they were able to fully prepare Stormbearer Mountain for the horde, blocking the way over Dorman Port and being able to destroy the main route while causing the least damage to the surrounding areas.

The operation mostly fell over Klee's explosions and Allen's insight, with both in charge of it, however, it was too much work for only two people, needing a good deal of people to help them.

Thankfully, Klee had a good deal of prepared explosives done in her free time, enough for this operation and to be truthful, enough to blow out three Mondstadts. However, she had most of them hidden away, buried underground as her special treasures, needing a lot of cooperation to take them while keeping security overall, not wanting any explosives to activate.

Klee barely remembered the places, but once searching for them they were kind of easy to find out, being clearly marked all over the place. Klee must have an immense talent in explosions but subtlety and common sense were clearly lacking. It really made everyone wonder how there hadn't been more accidents with her explosions because of how easy they were to find out.

Jean would have no doubt to ground her, but there were more important things for now, keeping it in pause until they finish the horde.

"With this, we have finished here, the problem is still about Wolvendom" Allen stated as Klee prepared the last charge.

"Yes, even if we stop the main part of the horde here, the one that divided over Wolvendom would still cause great damage" Jean nodded "And our relationship with Andrius and the wolves has never been especially good. They are not letting us enter their territory with explosions and we can't face them..." Jean sighed "If only the Grand Master Varka was here, he was always quite familiar with the wolves."

"Could I try to negotiate with them?" Allen offered "I have some experience with Andrius so I might be able to make a deal with him."

"You have met Andrius?!" Jean was shocked, knowing how strange it was. Andrius was part of the Four Winds of Mondstadt, but their relationship with Mondstadt had been broken long ago, keeping it at a mere minimum. With the wolf tribe avoiding humans or attacking them if they enter their territory, it made it difficult to reach Andrius and more to talk with him.

"Only a pair of times, but I can understand a little of his thinking." Allen thought about the time in the memory of Old Monstadt. "It will be better to go with a little group and show him that we are not hiding anything..." Allen said thoughtfully "So the best will be for Klee and I to go alone."

"Are you sure that you want to bring her?" Jean looked unsure at Klee who was looking with a big smile at the collocated explosions, her smile only growing bigger as she imagined when the time comes.

"Kaboom!" Klee laughed happily.
