Changing the Map

Chaos unfolded in the vicinity of the Stormbearer Mountains as adventurers and knights alike worked tirelessly to prepare for the impending stampede. The air was filled with a sense of urgency as they mobilized, evacuating the nearby settlements and securing the path leading to Dorman Port, should anything go awry.

The sound of clanging armor and hurried footsteps echoed through the rugged terrain as the defenders organized themselves. Knights, with unwavering determination, coordinated efforts to form defensive lines and establish checkpoints along the vulnerable routes. Their swords gleamed in the sunlight as they took up positions, ready to protect the innocent and ensure a safe passage for the fleeing residents.

The ones with the most important part of the plan were without a doubt Amber and Fischl. Fischl was in charge of controlling the stampede movements using Oz and Amber was the one that needed to light the fuse, the only one apart from Klee that was able to activate them at a distance, in Amber's case shooting a charged arrow with Pyro towards the bombs.

The timing needed to be perfect, having few seconds to work and requiring a perfect aim. If Amber failed to hit it or the timing was wrong, they won't be able to cage the stampede, causing a chaotic march of monsters that will be difficult to control.

The pressure mounted as Amber felt the weight of expectations upon her. The success of the entire mission hinged on her accuracy and timing. If she faltered, if her aim wavered even slightly, the consequences could be disastrous, with the stampede breaking free from its containment and wreaking havoc upon the land.

"Amber, you will do it, I'm sure" Jean cheered Amber. Jean stood next to her for protection and to command "Show us what the best Outrider of Mondstadt can do."

"Yes!" Amber nodded thinking about everything that taught her grandfather before deep breathing and showing decided eyes "I'm ready."

...

On the other hand, the states of the ones charged to go toward Wolvendom couldn't be more different.

"Look! Look!" Two little girls with their hands clenched while they walked around the forest as if nothing happened, signaling the new and exciting things that they found while laughing and giggling their way.

At their back, Allen looked over them while not losing to take into account their surroundings as he sighed 'This really seems more of a picnic than an emergency quest' Allen couldn't help to think as he saw Endora and Klee having fun together as they walked over the forest.

In comparison with the other group, Allen's was far smaller but if they were to intervene with an army, they would cause the wolves to be on high alert, making any cooperation quite difficult.

Moreover, while they were only three people, Allen was quite sure that they were one of the strongest groups, their raw power not falling short from the other numerous ones, Klee and Endora being powerhouses even at their young age and quite the dangerous ones if left alone. It was certainly a duo that Allen would prefer to not face.

"Wait" Allen stopped at the two little girls, positioning in front of them.

"Grrrr!" Just as Allen moved, a group of wolves appeared around them, threatening with their sharp teeth.

"We don't have come to fight!" Allen declared, taking his sword from his hip and leaving it on the ground.

"Leave" From the group of wolves a boy appeared. He had spiky gray hair, red eyes and pale skin and a greatsword over his back "This our territory. Humans. Leave."

"A large number of monsters are approaching Wolvendom, we came to help you deal with them" Allen explained "We have a plan to stop them."

"Corruption approaching. Humans. The culprit of it! Leave!"

"We are not the culprit!" Klee jumped to the conversation "I am Klee, the Spark Knight! We came here to help!"

*Sniff* The boy glared at them and cautiously sniffed them, starting for Klee "Red Knight. Smells burny." "Little Blue. Smells spring" "Blue Boy..." The boy glared at Allen "strange. Icy with danger. But different than corruption."

"We came to talk with Andrius, to help you all against the monsters."

"With Lupical's boss?" The boy looked strangely and turned over the other wolves, growling some at them. "I'll bring you to boss. But some strange. We stop you!"

"Thanks. I am Allen" Allen presented himself "And this one is Endora. Klee had already presented herself."

"Razor" The boy said before turning around, starting to guide them through the forest.

...

"How you dare to interrupt my rest?!" Just as they reached the wolf's arena, Andrius appeared in front of them threatening "Attacking and threatening my clan!"

"We have no intention of it, Lord Boreas" Allen bowed towards Andrius "It's an honor to meet the past Wolf of the North."

"You know about it?" Andrius glared at him "I had long since let go that position and have been forgotten by the people of Mondstadt."

"That does not change your great achievements and all your help to Mondstadt, even sacrificing your vessel for the good of it."

"Who are you?" Andrius glared.

"I am Niwa Allen. I simply adventurer of Mondstadt that had come to help." Allen presented "A large stampede of monsters is quickly approaching Wolvendom and would certainly cause a great damage in your lands. We came to help to deal with it, but we need your permission and cooperation for the plan."

"What would the plan be?"

"We have prepared some explosives, putting the charges in place, we will be able to take care of their central forces, making the ones left not threatening."

"You want to put bombs in my territory?!" Andrius showed his sharp teeth.

"It's the best solution. I pray for your consideration. It's not an attack, it is a necessity to protect the land."

"So it's to protect" Andrius looked over the group "Are you able to put in actions?"

"I'll take any trial" Allen said resolutely.

"As you wish. Auuu!" Andrius howled, summoning spectral wolves around him "Show it to me!" He declared, the wolves charging at Allen.

Seeing them approaching, Allen couldn't help to smile realizing the similar situation over that time at the Golden Apple Archipelago. However, this time was far different, being far easier.

The first difference was the group. Endora and Klee did not have any need to be protected, both being able to take care of themselves.

"Klee, Endora, don't do anything" Allen warned them as Klee was taking bombs from her bag and Endora was pointing at the wolves with her fingers "I'll take care of them myself."

The second was the familiarity of the moment, Allen being stronger now and having access to his Vision rather than the strange power of Elf.

Allen stepped forward drawing his Da Vinci Blade and unleashing his Elemental Skill on it. The blade started covering with Cryo as the metal from it expanded becoming a wide sword rather than the curved katana that was before.

This was the special quality of the Da Vinci Blade. The blade was formed by multiple pieces interconnected between them and once Cryo was applied over it, it was able to manipulate its form, taking the form of any sword, from katanas to even greatswords.

This would usually be kind of useless, people preferring one sword that adapts to their styles, being mostly useless to change its form of it, only useful to a surprise attack. However, Allen was clearly an exemption to it, being able to unleash multiple and very characteristic styles that required a concrete-type sword to unleash at its maximum.

Da Vinci Blade wasn't the strongest sword, not having great strength and abilities, but it was the best one for Allen, the one that adapted the best to his style.

"Favonius Swordsmanship" Allen lowered his body while crossing his blade, positioning with the blade work of the Favonius Knights, the most defensive from his repertory, being best used with a broad sword.

*Cla* Allen stepped in front of both girls, easily blocking every wolf without much difficulty, their speed was low and their movements were quite easy to read so Allen was able to create a perfect defense that they were unable to cross.

That was the third and last reason. Andrius was far weaker than at that time. He was a mere shadow left behind during his time as a god, his power not enough to even reach that simulacrum formed by Abyss element.

"You showed your intention" Andrius declared and withdraw the wolves who were unable to cross Allen's defense. "I'll trust you for now. Letting you walk through my territory."

"Thanks"

...

Having Andrius permission, the wolves cooperated with Allen's group even letting them ride them for the fun of both little girls.

"Where do we need to put the next one?" Allen asked Klee who looked over the steep land with a thoughtful look before pointing a point under some rock. "Perfect" Allen smiled at Klee who when it was about explosion absorbed any new knowledge as a sponge.

It did not take long for all the charges to be prepared thanks to Klee's bottomless bag which was Alice creation that let her keep a great number of explosions without risk of exploding inside and without any weight.

"Just in time" Allen declared as he saw the stampede approaching as they just finished their part.

"Do the honors, brother Allen!" Klee declared taking a bow, an arrow and a Jumpy Dumpy from her bag and giving it to Allen who charged the Jumpy Dumpy with an arrow, shooting over the group of monsters.

*Pa* The Jumpy Dumpy landed in the middle of the group of monsters and started jumping over them as they shined brightly.

"Kaboom!" Klee declared with a big smile as it reached its last jump.

*BOOOOOOOOOOOM!* An immense chained explosion appeared over everywhere, perfectly taking care of the monsters' stampede, blocking their retreat and forcing them to fall with rocks and debris impaling them.

"It's the best!" Klee's smile couldn't be bigger as she looked over the explosions with shining eyes. All the land over the Brightcrown Canyon changed forever, creating a new Canyon in it.

"Good work, everyone" Allen nodded seeing the result with only low numbers of monsters surviving.

"Leave it to us" Razor declared as the wolves charged, using their great agility to finish the monsters that were completely defenseless in their situation, quickly taking care of them.

...

"Now!" Fischl declared at Amber, her voice full of authority. "Show these low-life forms what happens when they dare to face this Prinzessin!"

Amber shot her charged arrow which created a parabola that was about to hit the bomb. However, just as it approached, a Mitachurl moved on its own, positioning in front of the arrow.

"Oh no!" Fischl declared worried. If they were to lose the timing, even if they provoke the explosions they will be unable to affect all the monsters.

*Fush* However, just as the arrow was about to hit the shield, a strong breeze surged, pushing the arrow into a strange parabola, avoiding the Mitachurl and hitting the placed bomb.

*BOOOM!* *BOOOM!* Multiples explosions occurred, taking care of the monsters, however, they quickly found that something was wrong.

*BOOOOOOM!*

"Run!" Jean declared to the near members, quickly evacuating the place, the power behind the explosions and the effect of them, greater than what they calculated, more land being affected by it.

Fortunately, the group was able to escape the place without any injury, but the damage to the place had been great. The joining point of the Cinder Lake with Dorman Port was closed while a new entrance to the Cincer Lake formed over the north towards the mountains between Mondstadt and Snezhnaya.

"Look this is my majesty!" Fischk declared happy with the result while the others looked in terror at the aftermath.

"It seems that will need a new map of the region" Amber declared seeing the change of the land with a forced smile "We will need to wait for Mika."

"That girl!" Jean shouted furiously as she saw the aftermath "She is so grounded!"

...

Over the cliff, looking at the girls discuss the aftermath, a young boy wearing green clothes stood with a lyre in his hand "Fortunately, everything went well, only needing a little of my help, ♪" The boy played his lyre as a soft breeze passed through him before turning over the ruins of Old Mondstad, looking at them in the distance "But really, what happened to you, old friend?"
