Chapter 17- What to do next

"I am thankful that you worried about me, I mean this is a place where death is a common thing but I need resources and a quick upgrade in strength to improve my situation back on earth. But, I know my strength, and I would be alright here on my own." Arc finally said that he knows that there are things that might impact very negatively on family in future if he does not solve the problem of money and status very quickly.

"You are thinking superficially. Anyway, it's none of my business at all what do you. I just warned you as I should but remember that there are still grievances between us. In future, I will get back to you about that." Saying this Avantika made a move to quickly go back to where his gang members are. She lost her motivation to take back in an instant when she saw the determination in the eyes of Arc when he talked about improving very quickly.

'Is he really a pervert who did that thing on purpose at our first meeting or was that just a misunderstanding?' This question was constantly rising and falling in the mind of Avantika. She was running while thinking.

During this trip back she was not very conscious of her surroundings which caused some monsters to attack her. But her strength was far stronger than those monsters and after calling a hammer and dagger monster according to what kind of monster attacked her, she killed all of them while not even giving thought to collecting the bodies of all of these monsters except some of the strong monsters which can be helpful for members in her gang and even for Lisa too.

Walking back she was faced with an empty place and now remembering that Lisa had taken the gang for hunting she sighed because of the rush of thoughts after meeting Arc. She doesn't know why but she felt an unfamiliar feeling inside her heart that moment like 'she wanted to protect him like some hen protecting her eggs.'

Coming to this thought, she blushed completely because this thought was weird on so many levels.

On the other hand, Arc was still standing confused there as to what just happened now because she left without even listening to what he had to say.

Thoughts were so jumbled in his mind as to what the hell was just happening with him because things happening recently were giving him surprises either good or bad. First with an update in the simulation and then this.

Leaving all those things behind for now to think about later. He walked off to some normal hunting place where the risk of high-level monsters was minimal.

Reaching that place, He was met with another group of people hunting eagle-like monsters which were really the first. They all were holding the bows and arrows in their hands and back. They were all like a well-coordinated team because there were two people with shields and another two people with hammers guarding these people with long-range weapons.

"Hey, do you want to join us, after hunting these monsters we will hunt Sharp peacock monster. If you have some physical ability and weapon knowledge then it would be good." A boy of a small age said who had the face of a very righteous-looking person.

"Gojo, You can't just keep calling other people to join our hunting party without even knowing if another person can fight or not. I know that you like helping others but this can bring danger to our balanced party.

"Oh! Nappa, you are always like this. Tell me, have I ever made a mistake in recognizing people with potential?" Gojo asked back.

"You win," Nappa said while making face like some sad child.

Arc would have believed that these were normal people joking and teasing each other if not for seeing them killing monsters while having this kind of conversation.

Summoning his spear, Arc quickly plunged it into the body of the eagle monster which was flying in his direction.

[ Ding! You have killed a mortal-ranked Monster Two-coloured eagle. ]

[ You have not obtained any monster soul. ]

Seeing Arc killing the monster so easily other people in the group nodded toward Gojo in affirmation and let him say whatever he wanted to say.

"So now, You will be part of long ranged team with your spear weapon monster soul because you can throw it in case something happening can also use it as a short-range weapon to help in that situation, even though such a situation would never arise," Gojo said while walking in Arc direction.

Arc was so flustered now because this boy right here did not even let him answer him if he wanted to join or not and had already appointed him a position.

"Um, I think, I would just go by myself to hunt in some different area, you can go on as you like," Arc said this because he knows that when he is alone he can use the armor openly to get an advantage over monsters but using it in front of others may cause a problem for him.

"Hahahahaha, You really like to make jokes. I liked it." Gojo said laughing really hard.

Arc was just gonna say that he was not joking at all about what he said.

"How about 5,00,000 rupees to participate in our little adventure hunting? You can keep the monsters, you hunt and will get the monsters that others might not need. And lastly, one monster soul as a promise at the end of the adventure. Now answer carefully, because I don't really like to hear no." Gojo said while removing the usual happy face he had all along and putting on a rather serious face.

Considering the amount of money proposed by him, Arc was really now second-thinking his decision. Because what he needs now is all about money. This group seemed to know this area very well unlike him who just chanced upon this area based upon vague talking he remembered of other people.
