Chapter 16- Awkward scene to look at

Arc had to walk for 3 hours in starlight before reaching the place which looked similar to what was described in the words of people in the shelter.

He reached the place of the lake, near which was a pond made out of water that came from the lake.

This pond was still a separate water body in itself.

Many fish monsters in that pond were running here and there with sharp pointed mouths.

Their blue appearance almost made them look invisible in the water except for those shines that their bodies after reflecting sunlight were shining on them.

Arc's eyes were on those fishes which have the same color and much more numbers than others because it usually meant that those were low-ranked monsters.

Arc did come here to hunt those monsters but now he can't seem to figure out how to hunt those monsters at all because he can't get inside the water because of how large the number of monsters are.

Even, if he for now forgot the existence of these monsters who can confirm that this water source is not poisoned?

Moving toward the lake which was a flowing water unlike one in the pond, Arc was focused on his guard and safety which made him call upon the monster's soul armor.

Grabbing a utensil from the backpack, Arc tried filling it from the lake water. But just as he came to touch the water, some monsters attacked him on the neck, but he could not even see what had attacked him. Relief was that his armor had saved the day for him like always.

He tried again but the same things happened again and again. Getting tired of this situation where he can't even see the monster attacking him, Arc finding walked a little far along with lake before trying it again.

And it succeeded.

He added some powder he had found in online shopping that tells whether water is drinkable or not by color. If the color changes, it is not drinkable.

After even some time that water remained of normal colour after which drank it.

Now one of his needs was fulfilled but another arose along with that was to take a p*ss. Even though there was no one, Arc felt the need to hide and do it in private.

So, he chose to go behind a tree that was covered by trees in other directions.

Avantika who was running this side behind Arc lost track of him but still reached this place at high speed because of how large amount of gene points she had.

"What is that freak doing over there? Is he doing what I think he is doing? Oh my god, this guy is crazy and here I thought attacking that time was the craziest thing he would ever do. He does not fear some insect monster attacking his private part. What was I even thinking, that's so gruesome." Saying these things to herself, Avantika's face was very red out of embarrassment. She quickly turned her face in another direction.

In the heat of the moment, what Avantike didn't notice was that Arc was very new so he should be weak and should not be able to come to places like this where almost every kind of monster is available not volcano and desert type.

Arc on the other hand in his senses so even started murmuring a song a whispering sound that he liked very much.

Completed with urination, Arc use the water collected from that river to maintain his hygiene.

Coming out of the trees, he was just gonna go to the monster hunting after summoning the spear monster's soul.

"You dirty pervert, stop right there. I will not let you go that easily this time. It's payback time." Avantika shouted coming out of her spot and pointed a monster soul bow and arrow toward him. When she saw the spear in Arc's hand, she had guessed inside already that it should at least be an ordinary monster soul. She trusts her guts more than the facts that even are presented with proofs especially when it comes to fights and instinctual understanding.

"Huh, isn't you from that day which was my very first.." Arc was trying to get his point of not knowing much about monster souls as it was his first day through her. But, she interrupted him.

"Um, first you should tell me why are you here and in such a leisurely manner. It's dangerous here, you shouldn't stay here." Avantika asked in a commanding voice.

Arc was taken aback by such a response which was out of the ordinary for him especially coming from this woman because this had shown him worrying and commanding thought.

"Why can I not be here? I mean, there was not any board here with 'do not come here'." Arc asked in a tone like a child is asked to never eat his favorite foodstuff.

"It's because you are weak and do not have enough strength to back up these wild decisions of yours. Don't test your luck boy. Luck works once or twice but that chance does not matter because every step is a danger to life. And I am sure that you might not have told anyone in your family about this whole thing, so, do yourself a favor and start thinking with mind your mind instead of puberty arrogance thoughts to fill your mind."

Arc wasn't expecting a lesson from someone he made an enemy out of on his very first day here. And this lesson seemed sincere.

At first, he was expecting a big violent reaction but this unexpected thing made it awkward for him to cope with the present situation.
