The tower of the forgotten world (iv)

Dennis locked himself with his friends while entering the next room. He was walking backwards while keeping an eye out on the door while his friends checked the area. They were in a vast room that had a circular platform in the center of the room while a machine with a massive computer, showing every single thing that they have done since they arrived.

"Man, I think someone is obsessed with us..."

Owen said as he pointed at a screen revealing them during the fight against the other Dj.

"More like monitoring our actions since we got here..."

Dj said as he looked at the screen at saw a top sided view from the other world. They soon realized that whoever was watching them must be nearby, and they were right. Hearing a crane that was lowering an object, they turned around that the circular platform was revealing a protective barrier while energy bounced all around it. Yen was the closest to it and gave it a quick look after seeing his father focused on the frozen door. Wondering why he did something like that.

"Thats more like a teleporter. We can probably calibrate it to take us out of here..."

Yen said. He then went over to the computer and messed around by pressing random keyboards. From the first few he pressed, it opened a window on the screen and it revealed an image of the previous room showing the knight walking towards the door that Dennis was still staring at.

"Dad, get away from the door!"

Yen yelled at Dennis, but he didn't listen. Dennis loaded up the shotgun and aimed. Getting ready for combat as he felt anger coming from the other room.

"It's do or die..."

As they all heard Dennis say those exact words. They understood was about to happen. Without even going down with a detailed plan. Everything was already in motion.

"Ace, help me out on rerouting the machine towards the house."

Yen said to his friend while Dj was heading towards Dennis while Owen stayed back. As they all got into position, they heard a loud bang coming from the other side. Yen and Ace looked at the screen and saw that the armor was striking the door with its sword shaped hands.

"Dj, can you promise me something?"

Dennis said to Dj as he was ready to finish what he started.

"It's kind of late for that, but sure..."

"If something happens to me in this fight... Make sure you punch Maxwell for me..."

As Dennis said what he wanted Dj to make a promise to. The ice wall that he made broke down while a blade pierces through the door. Knowing that the armor wants to get in, but its hand was stuck. Dennis and Dj saw this and looked at each other and gave a simple nod. The two of them rushed over to the door and kicked it down. Knocking down the armor behind it.

They were both standing on top of the broken door while the armor was screaming in rage. And Dennis wasn't having it. He had enough of being chased around this place, aimed the shotgun below him and pulled the trigger till there was no more ammunition left in the gun. Suddenly, the armor stops screaming, giving them a sense of accomplishment, but it wasn't enough. The armor was getting up, lifting the door along with them. It made them sense fear and needed to hasten.

"I got this!"

Dj said to Dennis. He then punched the door with all of his strength. At that point, he realized he messed up. As they heard the sounds of cracking. The only thing that comes to mind was the floor was falling apart.

"Bro... You need to get that strength checked..."

"And you need to get your emotions checked..."

As they gave one another a distrustful laugh. The floor below them breaks apart, turning into a fall point. As they fell below just one floor. They noticed an entire group of puppets while the corps of the puppet dragon was recovering from its injuries.

Before they could even land. Dennis threw away the shotgun and pulled out a combat knife from his back pockets while handed Dennis his gun back. They both then made a jump for it to go straight into combat.

While this was happening, Yen was trying to reroute the energy in the machine to create a wavelength with the door to the virtual room back in the house, but a warning came out from the screen. Warning them that something is arriving from the machine.

"What is it this time?!"

Yen yelled. He turned around and saw something coming from the teleporter. Standing there was a person, standing wearing a full-on high-tech body suit, in the teleporter.

"Put your hands up and don't make any sudden moves!"

Owen yelled as he aimed his weapons at the person. But as he had his guard up, they all noticed that the suit was more fit for a female body.

Back with Dennis and Dj. They landed on top of the puppet dragon to soften their landing, but they soon jumped off and engaged in combat by attacking the nearest target. Both splitting up to reduce the numbers in no time.

Dj punched at least a few of the puppet, knocking them down, but he witnessed they were standing back up. Surrounded by the enemy. He ignited his fists to enhance his combat style and as he sends a quick punch to one puppet. They set their body on fire.

On the other side, Dennis was stabbing the puppet's faces with the knife in his left hand while he held his gun, marked by his weapon on his right hand. He then pulled the trigger of his gun while aiming to his back by sensing an incoming attack and as he turned around, he saw the puppet holding a steel pipe.

"If I had my shadow form, this would have ended in an instant... Even if my restrains are gone now, this will drain most of my stamina to run even the overdrives... There's only one option left."

As Dennis said to himself in the middle of combat. He took down a few more puppets by targeting their weak points, but as he was a puppet, went up to him. He placed his gun point blank to their face and pulled the trigger, but nothing happens. Dennis realized his gun was out of ammo and in order to reload, it was with magic.

"Darn it, of all times... That leaves me with no choice now..."

Dennis said to himself as he was being surrounded by the enemy. He could sense that his friend was still fighting, but their movement was getting sluggish. As of now, they got Dj placed in a corner by the dragon's back. And as Dennis made his choice, everything goes silent. His eyes became fully black and changed to a bright red.

"Burning overdrive..."

A vast amount of fire covered Dennis's body. Burning everything that gets close to it. Soon, the flames that covered Dennis released him while his hands, feet, and hair were in flames.
