Sequel to Gaming in the Underworld Follow Blake Corvin as he continues his adventure in the world of gods and monsters. New problems to face, new enemies to slap around, and potentially new women to seduce. **I only own the OCs, all recognisable characters belong to their respective creators. She didn't speak for a while, she must have been contemplating whether to grant my request or not.

Her hesitation told me that she believed that the dark god was stronger than me. Something, if it was true and the god was stronger, I would rectify by making sure that I got to a point where I could crush it beneath my foot. Be it by grinding levels or absorbing power from another source.

"Set, the dark god's name was Apophis."

My mind went through a 'database' of all the information I had ever come across in my life. It helped having such a high Intelligence stat. I remembered reading something about Egyptian mythology.

"So a cult was trying to bring an Egyptian God into the world?"

"The Egyptian Pantheon is long gone Blake, they've all gone to the realm of the faded. Apophis, clings on to existence by feeding off of the chaos mortals commit on one another."

"So the other Pantheons exist, not just the Greeks."

"Many are gone. Mesopotamians, Egyptians, Chinese. They didn't adapt to stop relying on mortal belief to retain their power like the Greeks and the Norse. Whatever is left of them are just shadows and minor deities."

"So why haven't you dealt with Apophis yourself. You're clearly free from your 'mortal restraints'."

"Balance Blake, the Ancient Laws exist to keep balance in the world."

"Sounds like a fucking excuse to me. You've given me his name, I'll find a way to kill him and this Gaia that you're all worried about then I'm gone. King of the Gods or not."

"You can't do that Blake, you'd unbalance the world. It would be a worldwide catastrophe."

"Why should I care? So long as my family is safe the world could burn. Besides as far as I remember Apophis is a god of Chaos, you're literally THE Lady Chaos, the rest of his pantheon is gone with no repercussions to the world. One less chaos god in the world isn't going to make a difference.

She sighed as if disappointed, in a way I guess it would have been disappointing for your offspring to not listen to you.

Emotions ran freely through me as I stood up and prepared to teleport myself back. My mother reached out and grabbed my arm.

"Blake stop, please. Just listen. I swear, you're more your fathers son than you are mine."

"I've about had it up to here mom, I died, I was brought to a new world to live a new life. One that should have been my chance to do things I've never had the chance to do before. Only I came to realize that I had been manipulated from the beginning. This is my life, I choose how I live it. Not you, not the Fates, and definitely not some half baked destiny that's been written for me."

"Very well, I won't stop you."

"That's it? No 'You must do this for the greater good' spiel?"

"You're right, in a sense. This is your life, it was never my intention to force you to do anything."

I scoffed, "So you had nothing to do with the many manipulations throughout my family history?"

"I didn't know…"

"You're the creator of the universe and everything in it. How could you not know?"

"I'm ashamed to say that I haven't paid as much attention to my creations as I should have. I'm sorry Blake."

The anger bled out of me, I couldn't fault my mother for that. As careless as it was I hadn't paid any attention to the environment I had created in my pocket dimension. I understood how difficult it was to keep track of everything. I may have been a divine entity now but that didn't mean I was omniscient.

"Fine, there may yet be an adventure here waiting to be found. I'll take care of the problems that arise, not because I am king, and definitely not for the Olympians I rule over. I do this solely for the demigods. I'd rather not see children die at the neglectful hands of their parents."

"Blake I-"

"Save it mom, you've given me plenty to think about."

I wanted to get up and leave, there were far too many reveals recently that made me want to scream in anger if not for my system and significant self control.

In a way I guess it was poetic. Having originally come from this world as the son of a divine being. It would have explained the undiagnosed ADHD I used to have which apparently was common for demigods if the book I had skimmed through was to be believed.

Though I wasn't a demigod anymore and I wasn't sure if being the offspring of a being that predated gods counted towards being a demigod.

I glared at my mother again and sighed, despite everything she was still the woman that raised me. The same woman that consoled me after I got my heart broken, the same woman that cheered for me when I graduated from college.

I could still remember the lullabies she would sing to get me to fall asleep when I had a nightmare. I couldn't bring myself to actually stay mad at her for more than a moment no matter how much I wanted to.

"Can you give me a lift to the demigods camp? Now that I think about it I actually have no idea where it is and with how much time has passed I'm willing to bet that the kids have all gone back already."

She smiled, "Of course, you wouldn't mind if I accompanied you though would you? I'll help you with whatever you need."

I wanted to tell her to shove it, instead I nodded. She snapped her fingers and transported us directly to the center of the demigod camp.

We were greeted by swords and spears pointed at us. Not an unexpected reaction, admirable even. The demigods were still on edge from the recent fight that most of them had just gone through.

Chiron cantered up to us and bowed low.

"Lady Chaos, Lord Corvinus, Camp Half-Blood welcomes you."

Hushed whispers erupted from the campers. They lowered their weapons albeit hesitantly. Chiron extended an arm towards a larger cabin with multicolored banners hanging on the walls.

"Follow me to the Big House, I have the cabin councilors waiting there for you."

I nearly snorted at the name, 'Big House', turns out I wasn't the only one with a hard time giving names to things. My mother walked side by side with Chiron as they spoke in what sounded like gibberish.

Though if I had to guess, it might have been Ancient Greek. As we walked their words slowly became more familiar until I was keeping up with their conversation.

I frowned at my sudden understanding of a dead language. My mother turned to wink at me while continuing to walk forward.

'Suddenly I feel like my learning Hungarian back then wasn't because of my high Intelligence stat.'
