Chapter 26: The Silver Hand against the Beast

My eyes widened in shock as I watched Farkas turn into a werewolf and begin tearing the men attacking us apart.

With just a slash of his claws or the strike of his fist killed one of the men, and he was moving as fast as lighting, before even a few minutes could pass the men attacking us were dead.

Before I could react and say something to the werewolf covered in blood, Farkas dashed down the corridor the men came from on all fours, leaving me alone and trapped within the room behind a steel gate.

Suddenly the gate opens and I see Farkas rushing back into the room as if he did not just turn into a werewolf and slaughter a whole group of men before my eyes.

"Are you going to explain what just happened?" I asked Farkas who didn't look me in the eyes.

"We were ambushed by the Silver Hand, as for..what I am, you must ask Skjor or Kodlack," Farkas told me before saying that we should continue through the corridor.

I followed him through the corridor and as we started finding more and more small groups of Silver Hand as we delved deeper into the dungeon, we also found that many of these Silver Hand were fighting recently awakened Draugr and while some had the capabilities to fight the moving corpses, quite a few of the Silver Hands we came across were already dead.

But before long, we came across the Silver Hand vanguard the Crypt and killed them and the Draugr they were attacking.

Of course, ever since we came across the Silver Hand I noticed that all of their weapons have been made of silver, so, I have been making sure to collect their arms and silver-tipped arrows and stored them away in my inventory.

I could rent out a forge in Whiterun and then meltdown the weapons into silver ingots which I could sell for 50 Septims an ingot, and since I can get around 2 Ingots for a normal sword and around 4 for a great sword, I will be able to get around 2,500 Sepimts from all of their weapons.

Or if I just sold the weapons as they were, then I could get around 3,000-4,000 Septims, which is what I am most likely going to do, I may even just save a sword for myself in case I come across some of the undead, I learned that the undead and Werecreatures are vulnerable to silver weapons so it would be useful if I were to ever get attacked by them.

We soon then found a locked door which had the key in the room along with it, and beyond that, we fought a few skeevers and before walking through a passway in the wall directly into a frostbite spider nest...

And after killing the spiders within said nest...I noticed that it seems Farkas has gained a new fear...

We then passed by a waterfall and walked across some catwalks before running into more Draugr.

Then we soon came across an iron door which we opened and found ourselves in a large open room with many sarcophagi lining the walls and towards the back of the room was another one of the strange walls covered in what looked like chicken scratch I saw last time in Bleak Falls Barrow.

And just like last time, one of the markings on the wall was glowing and...calling out to me.

But just in front of said Wall, there was a table that had our target, The Fragment of Wuuthrad.

"Its definitely a trap," I sighed and told Farkas.

"Aye, but that's what will make this fun, go grab the Fragment," Farkas told me before readying for the fight.

Once I approached the fragment I first focused on the strange chanting language that was speaking to me once again.

Once I neared the wall and got close enough to the glowing markings, I felt my vision begin blurring before a stream of blue light flowed from the markings and into my head.

What do these words even mean?

Sighing in frustration at the lack of answers I have towards the markings and these strange walls, I grabbed the Fragment of Wuuthrad and once I lifted the fragment a couple of the sarcophagi opened up, revealing the Draugr held inside.

"Bring it!" I shouted before drawing my Magicka into my left hand, and summoning the sparks spell before unleashing it on the closest Draugr.

I watched as the sparks ran across its body as it left scorch and burn marks.

Sadly, it doesn't deal all that much damage to the Draugr's bodies, but it is definitely effective on human oponents.

So instead, I switch over to my Body Enhancing Spells in my arsenel and being buffing my body until I ran out of Magicka.

Now, it was time for a slaughter!
