Game Of Thrones: Reborn AS Pokémon

In a world where the faith of the Old Ones, ancient and faceless gods residing in the green wood, once thrived among the First Men and the Children of the Forest, a shift occurred with the Andal Invasion. The Faith of the Seven gained prominence, leading to the destruction of weirwoods in the southern realms, except for the Isle of Faces guarded by green men. However, in the North, the faith in the Old Ones persisted, with every castle maintaining a Godswood and a heart tree adorned with mysterious faces. Unlike other mortal gods, the identity of the Old Ones remained elusive, represented only by weirwood trees, sometimes resembling a horned deity. The rulers of the First Men, instead of adorning themselves with precious helms, chose antler helms, considering them divine symbols connecting to their bloodline origins. Enter Jay, who, after a reincarnation, unexpectedly becomes the God of Life, Xerneas, inadvertently revitalizing the faith in the Old Ones. This sets the stage for a story exploring the clash of ancient beliefs, the resurgence of a forgotten faith, and the mystical journey of a Pokémon deity reborn in a world torn between dead and living.

Chapter 31

Renly Baratheon stood on the balcony of his chambers in the Red Keep, looking out over the bustling streets of King's Landing. The air was thick with tension as the realm teetered on the edge of chaos. Before death of King Robert that could plung the Seven Kingdoms into uncertainty, and Renly knew that he could no longer stay in the capital.

Before his brother Stannis declaring himself king and the Lannisters tightening their grip on power, Renly felt increasingly isolated. He knew that if he remained in King's Landing, he would be swallowed up by the political machinations of his enemies. And so, he made the difficult decision to leave.

Gathering his most loyal supporters, Renly made plans to depart in secret, slipping out of the city under cover of darkness. He knew that he needed allies if he was to have any hope of challenging Stannis and the Lannisters for the throne, and he had a plan in mind.

As he gathered his closest confidants, Renly's mind turned to the potential for alliances beyond the capital. The Tyrells, with their vast resources and formidable army, presented a promising opportunity. With a plan forming in his mind, Renly set forth on his journey to Highgarden.

Upon reaching the lush lands of the Reach, Renly sought an audience with Lord Mace Tyrell. Negotiations were delicate, but the promise of a powerful alliance proved irresistible to the Tyrell patriarch. Seizing the opportunity, Mace proposed a marriage between Renly and Margaery Tyrell, the beautiful and cunning daughter of House Tyrell.

Everything went as planned until an unexpected visitor came to the High Garden with another proposal.

While in the depths of King's Landing, Eddard Stark found himself trailing a strange cat through a labyrinth of forgotten tunnels. The feline guide led him through passages that seemed untouched by human feet for generations, and Ned couldn't help but marvel at the secrets hidden beneath the Red Keep.

The cat moved with purpose, its sleek form slipping effortlessly through the shadows. Eddard followed, his footsteps echoing softly against the cold stone walls. It was a strange sensation, being led by a creature that seemed to know these secret passages better than any human ever could.

As he walked, memories of his daughters filled Eddard's mind, driving him forward with renewed determination. He couldn't bear the thought of leaving them alone in this treacherous city, at the mercy of those who sought to harm his family.

With each step, Eddard hoped to emerge somewhere familiar, a way out of this tangled maze of secrets. Yet, the passages seemed to stretch on endlessly, twisting and turning in a maze-like fashion. It was as if they were a forgotten relic of a bygone era, a remnant of Maegor the Cruel's dark legacy.

"This is madness," he muttered to himself, his voice echoing faintly against the cold stone walls. "What manner of place have I stumbled upon?". The cat, seemingly unperturbed by Eddard's apprehension, continued to lead the way.

It wasn't long before Eddard Stark heard another set of footsteps echoing through the tunnel, causing him and the cat to halt their movements. Eddard's senses sharpened as he moved closer to the wall, silently urging himself to remain unseen. The sound of chains dragging and hurried footsteps filled the air, indicating someone was approaching, and they seemed to be heading straight towards him.

Eddard hesitated, unsure whether to take cover or confront the newcomer. But then, he glanced at the cat, sensing some unspoken communication between them. It was as if the cat knew the approaching person wasn't an enemy.

As the shadow of the person drew nearer, Eddard's heart skipped a beat before he called out, "Sansa?" His voice trembled with hope and apprehension.

Sansa, hearing her father's voice, found herself momentarily stunned before rushing towards him, tears streaming down her cheeks. "Father!" she cried out, throwing herself into his arms.

For a fleeting moment, Eddard's worries melted away as he held his daughter close. But then, his thoughts turned to Arya, his other daughter, who was still missing.

"Sansa, where is your sister?" he asked, his voice filled with concern.

Sansa shook her head, her expression mirroring his solemnity. "I don't know," she admitted softly. "I haven't seen her since they locked me in the chamber."

Eddard's heart sank at the news, but then he noticed the strange cat and monkey standing together, as if waiting for them to follow.

For some inexplicable reason, Eddard Stark felt a sense of reassurance in following the cat's lead rather than relying solely on his instincts. Glancing at his daughter, he could tell she shared the same sentiment. With newfound trust in their feline and simian guides, they followed them steadfastly through the winding tunnels.

Their journey continued until they reached an exit hidden within a cave outside the walls of King's Landing. There, to their immense relief, stood Arya Stark alongside a weary-looking dog, a testament to the hardships it had endured at the hands of men.

Eddard's heart swelled with gratitude as he rushed to embrace his youngest daughter, Arya, while Sansa joined them, tears of joy streaming down her face. Together, they stood reunited, a family torn apart by treachery and strife, now brought back together by the unlikeliest of guides—a cat, a dog and a monkey.
