As trade flourishes, Jason’s ventures cause an unprecedented economic boom in both worlds, drastically increasing their GDPs. However, as he amasses wealth and power through his monopoly over this interdimensional trade, Jason's ambitions grow. 82. Tyrion and Tywin Lannister

As Tyrion grew older, he became wiser and stronger, and the cruel looks and harsh words from others didn't hurt him as much anymore.

Whenever he wanted, he could use his cleverness to outsmart those who insulted or attacked him. Eventually, people became scared of him, afraid he would embarrass them in return, so they stopped mocking him to his face.

Of course, Tyrion couldn't control what they said behind his back, but he didn't care. After all, there would always be lowly people in this world, like weeds growing at the bottom.

Could he drag all these worthless people to a slaughterhouse and kill them? Of course not.

So Tyrion began to ignore the ones he saw as beneath him.

To spite his father, he began drinking heavily and living wildly. He spent his time in the brothels of different cities, playing with women, and he even enjoyed when they called him "the Lannister giant" while he was with them.

This gave him a strange sort of pleasure.

Naturally, Tywin Lannister was even more disappointed in his second son. The relationship between father and son only got worse.

One day, Tyrion walked into Tywin's study. He poured himself a glass of wine from the bottle on the table. Tywin, busy with paperwork, didn't even look up. His thin face was as stern as ever, just like when he led the destruction of House Reyne and House Tarbeck, leaving their castles in ruins to warn the rest of the West.

House Reyne's seat was Castamere, and House Tarbeck's was Tarbeck Hall. A singer even wrote "The Rains of Castamere" to remember it. The song spread across Westeros, and everyone knew of Tywin Lannister's ruthlessness.

For a while, the Lannisters' power was at its peak.

Tyrion took a sip of his wine and sat down next to Tywin, who continued with his work, ignoring him. This annoyed Tyrion, but he didn't dare say anything. Instead, he pointed to the gel pen Tywin was using, which had recently become popular in Casterly Rock.

"I've heard from the merchants that this gel pen from the East is quite impressive," Tyrion remarked. "I've started using it myself! No need to dip it in ink or worry about ruining my fine clothes! And when the ink runs out, you just pop in a new refill. Very convenient."

Tywin didn't react, but Tyrion continued, "And it's not just the pen. The smooth white paper is excellent too, and the soap—oh, the soap! For laundry, washing hands, even bathing! It's amazing! This small white bar not only cleans off sweat and dirt, but leaves a wonderful fragrance behind. The women in the brothels can't get enough of it—"

"Enough!" Tywin finally snapped, slamming his hand on the table. "Shut your damn mouth! I know very well how sharp your tongue is, but you'd better close it before I make you."

Tywin glared at Tyrion with his pale green eyes, full of anger. His forehead was slightly bald, and his face, thin and stern, resembled that of a real lion.

Tyrion, seeing his father's furious gaze, didn't dare push further. He raised his hands in surrender, saying, "As you wish, Father. I'll shut up now. No need to have your guards deal with me."

Tywin continued to stare at Tyrion, the son he despised. Every time he looked at him, he was reminded of his wife's death, and the hatred grew stronger.

After a moment of silence, Tywin spoke again. "Tell me why you're here. Don't waste my time with nonsense about pens and soap."

Tyrion, relieved that Tywin had finally spoken, regained his usual sarcastic tone. "Of course, Father. If I had time to waste, I'd rather be in bed with Andrea enjoying myself."

Tywin's anger flared at the mention of Andrea, knowing his son was once again frequenting the brothels of Casterly Rock. But Tywin kept his face emotionless, refusing to give Tyrion the satisfaction of seeing him upset.

"If you don't get to the point quickly, you won't have another chance to speak to me today," Tywin said coldly.

Tyrion tossed his wine glass onto the table with a thud. "Alright, alright. You're so impatient. That's not very fitting for the Lord of Casterly Rock," he teased, but Tywin remained unmoved.

"I've grown tired of being in Casterly Rock," Tyrion finally said. "I'm heading to King's Landing and thought I'd bring Jaime and Cersei some of this fine paper, pens, and soap. Just letting you know."

Tyrion spread his hands. "You wouldn't deny a brother's affection for his siblings, would you, Father?"

Tywin stared at Tyrion, trying to gauge whether he was telling the truth.
