Chapter 18: Target on our back.

After the short fight that happened between his legion and Noah's ship... The Overlord of the Space Pirates, wasn't really that happy with the performance that his legion is giving him.

He sat on his throne with quite a lot of his followers kneeling down in front of him. He looked extremely angry and his aura is giving him the vibe of thirst of blood... He stood up from his throne and his body is hunched over. His staff that he hold, is holding a sword inside it and he is holding the tip of his sword and pulling it out and play it around a bit...

Then, he muttered something that sends chills to everyone around him "500 of our troops has been killed. 15 of our ships has been destroyed. In an instant... Against one ship. Which is only consisted of 3 people... Who, allows the troops to chase after them?" Asked the Overlord, menacingly.

Everyone gulped and no one dared to speak because they physically can't open their mouth from the peer pressure that was released by the Overlord.

"You all are supposed to hear what I said to you and there's no exception. Even if you are one of the longest working Navigator in my Legion." He said, as he stared on a particular person who is sweating heavily, someone who the Overlord absolutely know the reason behind the destruction of some of his ship. "If we were to just look at pattern on who dares go through our area with a simple ship, it is clear that it would be those from the Abyssal Null Knights. I do not and never give you any reasoning to fight them so why would you decide that now is the best chance to do it?"

After he finished talking, he draw his sword and then stab the eyes of his navigator out "AAAGHHH!!!" His screams, echoes throughout the room and everyone can only stood there in silent, not being able to help their comrades...

His eyes are completely gouged out and there's no way that it would recover because the Overlord wouldn't give them any chance to heal his eyes.

"Listen up, you bunch of fuckers and failures... I will not have this feeling of failures with me so deploy everyone and chased after those fuckers and bring them to me! Their corpse or their still breathing self, I do not care. I will make sure that whatever remains they have will be properly disposed off so that I can let go of this shitty feeling!" The Overlord now wants Noah and the others dead because of the failures they have brought upon his name. The shame is too big for him to just let it go.

Everyone screams in unison "Sir yes sir!" And they scrambled picking their gears and then getting to their ships.

"I will not let both Victor and Thea roam around the universe again. Not even after they failed protecting their own hometown. I will not let another failures failed my name! I will make sure they all died by my hands!" The Overlord is pissed off out of his mind. So, he called out for someone and make sure that Noah and the others are hunted down. "Jashin."

From behind the chair he is sitting down, a fully cloaked figure with a woman tone immediately appear and then stood beside him "Yes Milord, I am ready to move."

"Jashin, chased after Victor and his ship. If we look at their pattern, they should be heading to the trade ship. Make sure you move independently from the legions. Also, if they started to stray from my plan. Murder them immediately."

"Understood, milord." And then, Jashin disappeared immediately, seemingly getting brushed away by the breeze in the ship.

Now, back to Noah Stealth Ship...

"Captain, I have created some list of ingredients and budget that we have and can spend in the Trade Ship. Naturally, bargaining and exchanging some materials is possible, but I didn't include it here because the amount we from that solely depends on the trader." Victor handed me a list of stuff that we had.

"Thanks, Victor. Thea, can you help me take a look at this? Do you think we need more stuff for the ship?" Upon getting the papers from Victor, I immediately went to Thea who's sitting in the cockpit and just chilling in the seat.

Of course, I could just ask Gaidos for everything, but what use are my crews if I don't ask them about everything so that we can bond more, right? It is required for us to act like a family so that our bond naturally strengthened and betrayal is nigh impossible.

Not only that... I am just... Interested in her in general. Since that moment I saw how she fight, it piqued my curiosity.

"Hm? What we need more? Okay. I'll look at it." Thea then look at the paper and started adding things up.

When she adds things up, I remembered to check on something... The Space Worm...

So, I went to the radar and then sync up the System that I had with the ship. I open up the map and then look at the tracker that I planted to the worm... After a bit of typing in the control system, I managed to pull up where the trackers is...

I analyze the coordinates and then after a bit of cross referencing of system and the maps... I can figure out that the Worm is pretty far away from us and in an area where more Asteroid is passing by. Near another Interstellar Ark that I don't really know the name. That's how far it is.

Because the distance between us is far, there's no way that we are going to encounter each other for a bit. I just hope that something brought us back together because I really want to kill it for some money.

"Captain. I have added some things to the list. Please, do consider about this particular reasoning of mine." Thea calls me and then handed back the paper to me.

I look at the papers that she gives me and then just stared back at her due to the content.

"Please, Captain?"

"... Alright. I'll see what I can do."

"Thank you so much, Captain."

It seems like, more stuff needs to be upgraded in this ship.
