Brother's gift
Cynthia lifted her left eyebrow with a devilish smirk. It left Arial in trouble and she looked around to see others expression.
For Arial, there was no way out. She can lie right now, but she knew Cynthia has more then just one way to prove herself.
She put on a fake and dry smile while hiding her grit.
If not for this foolish Ricky to step in front acting like a heroine and dragging her along, Arial wouldn't had been humiliated this badly.
The worst fear of hers came true. Now many will find out what Cynthia really looked and the rumours Arial created will backfire on her.
She never expected that Cynthia will ever leave her room to step out and that the rumours will always stay alive helping her in prosper but everything went in vain.
"Haha… of course, she is my cousin Cynthia and that watch and necklace are a gift from Mrs. Cress," she said while hiding her embarrassed self.
Ricky eyes widened. Until now she was grinning with the thought of seeing the pretty girl who got all attention kicked out after being humiliated once Arial refuse to admit that she was Cynthia but now she felt pale.
It was hard to accept the reality after mocking Cynthia for her ugliness.
"This dress is same as the real Cynthia bought yesterday but I believe that the actual Miss Cress was scared of attending this party so, she sent a fake one instead or why else she didn't introduce herself?" Ricky refused to accept the truth and frowned.
"Everyone was having fun while calling me ugly behind my back. I just didn't wish to ruin their fun. How nice I am, still you call me fake… its feel bad," Cynthia grinned without hiding her amused expression.
The surrounding become awkward.
Ricky parted her lips and with a wide-open mouth she was about to shout at Cynthia when she was slapped by Arial, "I said she is my cousin, why are you refusing to believe?".
The sound of slap on the cheeks startled others as it was loud.
Arial didn't want for Ricky to tell others that it was her who told her that Cynthia was ugly. She didn't wish to be caught red handed so, she used an extreme measure which left Ricky stunned and silent.
The utter silence was really awkward and Luv broke it, "Now that everyone knows the truth, I believe that you will not accuse Ms. Cress without any evidence. Aunty, please kindly apologize to Ms. Cress for your rudeness".
Maria Serta frowned. Her arrogance didn't let her head down in front of others. She could endure anything but not insult and even from such a despicable girl.
Cynthia knew what Maria Serta was going to say with her gritted teeth so, she interfered, "Its ok. I don't need any apology".
"Its good to know that you have some manners left for your seniors," she smirked but the feeling of nervousness didn't faded seeing the confident girl in front of her.
Her apology doesn't mean anything rather screwing her seems more fun.
Cynthia smirked really slyly before walking toward Luv and asking him to have a little chat privately.

"Here is the gift prepared by brother for you before he left. He handed it to out parents and they gave it to me to hand it to you safely," Cynthia put down the small square shaped box wrapped in a gift wrapper on the table in front of him.
They were in the guest room and sitting across each other on sofa.
Expect them there was no one in the room and the atmosphere was a bit down seeing the young man sad face and eyes stuck toward the gift.
Hearing no reply from him, she put a slack of her hair back and said, "I didn't know you could recognize me in one glace when this is the first time we met".
"Your brother had showed me a picture of yours when we were gaming. So, its easy to recognize you".
"Oh…"
"…"
"You must had been a very trusted friend of my brother for him to show my picture to you… or, does he go on showing it to everyone?" she tilted her head feeling confused.
The man shook his head and held the gift box.
…His sharp eyes suddenly bestowed over her with a cold expression.
Cynthia had no idea why he was being like that and then a thought came to her mind as she waved her hand with a nervous smile, "No one took a look inside the gift so, don't worry".
But it doesn't appeared that he cared about her rather he said something that left her stunned and baffled.
"Your brother loves you so deeply and always talks about you in front of me. But from how carefree you are… I doubt that you care for him, too"
"Are you happy that now you are the successor of the company your brother was going to have?"
He frowned deeply as he said.
This young master has gone mad! Cynthia could only think of that after hearing such absurd thing.
