5 Aperture Awakened; A new way of using Mana

After a few minutes of the blood-curling scream of the Fourth Elder, many people came at the scene. Most of them were Magic Acolytes, and a few were Adept Mages. After some Adept Mages shouted at the Magic Acolytes, the Magic Acolytes got out of the area. When an Adept Mage was about to go and report it to the Clan Leader, the Clan Leader arrived at the area with a streak of fire. The spell he was using was a movement type fire spell. All the mages present there greeted him respectfully, and he went inside the house.

Meanwhile, Mizar was rushing towards the Clan Leader's Mansion. According to Kans's memories, there was a Mana Spring right below the Clan Leader's Mansion. Although Kans was a douchebag, he still knew some secrets known only to the few within the clan. He was going to awaken his aperture in the Mana Spring. According to what he observed in the battle, there didn't seem to be any people with their aperture awakened.

A person without Mana can't awaken his own aperture. To awaken the aperture one had to infuse their finger with mana and diffuse the mana into the body by pressing the fingers on different parts of the body. Since Mizar can use magic, he can try awakening his aperture. He didn't know if it would work in this world or not; anyway it was worth the try than to regret it later.

Although the battle with wolves was ongoing, there were people still guarding the Clan Leader's Mansion. Four peoples were guarding the Clan Leader's Mansion. Normally, there would be 10-12 people guarding the different parts outside the Mansion. The Mansion has most of the secrets of the clan that couldn't be leaked to the outsiders and well as the general public. The guards weren't there to protect the clan leader; they were just there to hopefully stall for some time and give a warning signal.

There weren't any other clans on the Half-fogged Mountain. There used to be, but the Mana Spring all dried up during the foggy incident. The clans fought for the ownership of the Mana Spring, and the Rung Clan won to take the Mana spring. The size and power of the clan decreased; they have been now gradually increasing over the years. The clans that lost the war went out to search for other springs. Some clans found one, some clan didn't and lost everything.

One clan found a Mana Spring inside the forest, 5000 km west from the Half-Fogged Mountain. The Rung Clan and this Clan were allied in the fight for the Mana Spring. This Clan had a good intention to merge the clan and live peacefully but after the battle ended the Rung Clan betrayed them and started killing their clan members. Some managed to get away and found a Mana Spring and reestablished the clan again. This clan was Agar Clan.

At the present moment, the guards were pretty relaxed and were chatting about some bets and other things. Who in their right mind would think of trespassing on Clan Leader's Mansion, right?

Mizar was in his right mind and trespassing the Mansion. There were no other people other than the guards in the Mansion's vicinity. He summoned the skeletons. He could now summon 4 skeletons as his MP have increased. The skeleton that was summoned didn't have the dagger he gave. Maybe it dropped the dagger when going back or it could be not that skeleton wasn't among the skeletons he summoned. He can know it when he later hears the story of the murder of an Elder.

'Will my MP increase after awakening my aperture?' Mizar pondered for a moment before focusing on the task at hand, i.e. disposing of these guards. He tried forming the moonlight on his hand when system notification popped up.

[All your MP is used to sustain the skeletons. Moonlight Blade can't be formed.]

'Can I send one skeleton back?' Mizar tried using the spell to send the skeleton back. But all the skeletons went back. He couldn't figure out what to do. He alone couldn't kill 4 Peak stage Magic Acolytes.

Suddenly a spark ignited in his mind, 'I can try to summon a few skeletons and not the maximum number possible'

"Summon 3 skeletons" There skeletons came out from the twisty space. The three skeletons almost looked the same as ones before. He tried activating the Moonlight Blade again.

"Moonlight Blade" Mizar activated the skill. Moonlight gathered on his palm to form a crescent blade.

The guards weren't just for a show since they were tasked to guard such an important place. One guard sensed the fluctuation in mana. The guards weren't lousy, but they were in a relaxed environment for far too long. They didn't need to take part in the battle with beasts; they just had to guard the Mansion. Even after detecting a magic fluctuation, he thought it was just from the battle. The spell was low and gave a weak magical fluctuation.

He sent the skeleton to attack the guards. They were ordinary skeletons and were weak in this world; they just had the fighting capability of Upper stage Magic Acolyte. The guards noticed the skeletons and were surprised. There weren't any non-human species other than the beasts they had seen. There weren't any Necromancer as well.

They were surprised for seconds before coming back to their senses. After all, they were guards trained to guard the most important part of the clan. But few second of hesitation was vital in the battle. Two Moonlight Blades shot out of the darkness, and a moment later, two heads fell on the ground, and two headless bodies fell down too. One guard was busy fighting skeletons buying time for the other guard to send a signal, but Mizar was faster, and the guard's body was cut in half. The guard fighting the skeletons was also beaten to a pulp but to be on a safe side, Mizar shot out a Moonlight Blade shot a Moonblade at his stomach from where his intestines and undigested food flowed out.

'Ah! It would have been much easier and faster before if I had used my stat points.' Mizar thought as he proceeded to use stat points.

He added 2 points in Vitality, 1 point in Strength and 1 point in Sense. Now his body exceeded his age, and his height even increased a bit.

[Vitality+2]

[HP increased by 20 points]

He examined their body and found Mana stones and weapon. He then collected their weapons. He got a dagger, 2 swords and a sabre. He then searched their resting place and found a typical wizard's staff made of wood and a dark gem embedded on top of it. He checked it through the System.

[Dark Staff] (Durability: 90/250)

{A staff made hundreds of years ago by a weapon grandmaster when he was still a rookie.}

(Mana+5) (15% less MP required when using Dark Magic)

He then kept all other items except the staff in the inventory.

He threw the body of guards in the pond in front of the Mansion. You couldn't say he threw it. He put their bodies in the pond. The pond was dyed red, but it wasn't his problem and the intestines? He experimented with it. The skeletons had some of their bones frozen, but they still had the same movements as before as if the freezing bones didn't affect them.

He ordered the skeletons to hold the intestines and sent them back, and the skeletons went back with the intestines which confirmed his theory of skeleton taking the dagger. The undigested food seemed like vomit, and no one would find anything abnormal about vomit. He was cleaning the crime scene so that his operation could move smoothly.

Obviously, the last guard screamed, but it was useless. The screaming was everywhere, echoing throughout the whole clan, and nobody noticed any abnormalities.

Mizar sent back the skeletons and went inside the Mansion. There was pretty neat furniture with decorations all around, but he didn't pay any of its attention and went straight to where the stairs. He walked up two steps on the stair and knocked in a certain pattern on the floor. A lever popped up from the side of the staircase. He pulled the lever, and the whole staircase started going downwards. The staircase which went upwards now went downwards.

Mizar first summoned a skeleton. This skeleton didn't have frozen bones or blood on his bones. He then used Summoner's Control to check if there were any traps and after making sure that there wasn't any trap, he went down the stairs. When he stepped off the staircase, it went up again, and it looked like before. He looked behind, and there was nothing but a wall formed by natural rocks. There was only a way that was forwards; all other sides had rock walls. There were some glowing mosses on the walls that provided faint lighting, but it was enough for him to see.

He went forwards occasionally turning slightly left or right and arrived before a pond that was crystal clear. The temperature around the pond was warm. He took off his clothes and dived into the pond. There wasn't even a small ripple when he dived.

He sat in a lotus position and sent his mana to his fingers. His fingers were glowing in silver colour. He then pressed his thumb on top of his head and shouted: "I know". The top of his head glowed violet, and the system's notification popped up.

[Intelligence+1]

[MP increased by 5]

He didn't pay any heed to the system notification and pressed his index finger between his eyes and shouted: "I see". The spot between eyes glowed indigo, and a system's notification popped up.

[Sense+1]

[You can now sense everything within 1.5m around you]

He again pressed his middle finger on his throat and shouted: "I speak". The spot glowed sky blue in colour.

[Intelligence+1]

[MP+5]

He pressed his ring finger above his heart and shouted: "I love". The spot glowed green.

[Vitality+1]

[HP increased by 10]

He pressed his pinky finger on his solar plexus and shouted: "I can". The spot glowed yellow.

[Strength+1]

He pressed his palm on his lower abdomen and shouted: "I feel". The spot glowed orange.

[Intelligence+1]

[MP+5]

He pressed his fist above his pelvis and shouted: "I am". The spot glowed red.

[Sense+1]

[You can now sense everything within 2m around you]

Then all those colour flowed towards the red colour and formed a rainbow. Then the mana from the pond was sucked by the rainbow to form a sphere which glowed red. Inside it was red-coloured mana, and it covered two-third of the sphere. It would be around full if he had better aptitude, but it was still better than his past life. The red colour mana was signature mana of Magic Acolytes. The colour would turn into orange, yellow, green, sky blue, indigo and violet as the realm increases. A system notification popped up.
