Issue #6

When Black Bolt and the Avengers arrived back at the Avengers tower, Black Bolt was escorted down to the prison. He was brought into a cell before being bound and restrained so that he could not escape or use his powers.

"Why are you treating him like this?" Medusa asked with fury in her voice. Her hair started moving on its own and turned into several sharp spikes.

Several agents raised their guns while a few of the Avengers also went on guard.

Medusa did not care about this though. She was ready to take on all of the Avengers. She wanted their help with rescuing her husband, not treat him like a criminal when he was the victim.

"Wait, Queen Medusa," Jack spoke up first. He was able to chat with Medusa when they picked her up and after they returned from the caves. Out of all the Avengers, he was the closest with the Inhumans. Besides Johnny with Crystal. "He is here because he assaulted and nearly killed two of our Avengers. He also tried to take out another two of us."

"That's impossible. He would never attack unless he was attacked first."

"I get that," Jack conceded on this. He did not want to start and fight or argue with the woman. "We believe that he has been brainwashed or is being controlled somehow. He also did not respond to Crystal when we were out in the field which also makes me believe that is true even more."

Medusa calmed down when she heard this. She tried to use her connection with Black bolt and send their secret signals with her body but she did not get the responses that the normal him would have sent. After that, she was more reassured that Jack was telling the truth.

"I'm sorry about that. You have been of help and I should not have doubted you like that."

Medusa's hair stopped floating as gravity affected it once more. When she calmed down, most of the agents lowered their weapons but did not put them away. They didn't know if she would get angry again.

"It's fine. You were expecting it to be a straightforward rescue. Let's just be glad he is here and no longer there," Jack breathed a sigh of relief when he heard her calm down. He had never seen her power but was sure that she had the strength to pack up her title as queen. "We plan on having two of our top doctors' conduct exams on him to find out what's going with his mind and figure out how to help him."

Medusa nodded before she thanked Jack once again. The rest of the Inhumans and Medusa stayed nearby when Reed and Hank came down to do the exams. Jack was called up to discuss some matters in the meeting room.

When he walked into the room, he was surprised by everyone that was there. Besides the 4 team leaders, there was also Thor and Tony.

'So all the big shots are here.'

Jack walked over and sat in his usual chair. Once he took his seat, it was Tony instead of Steve that spoke up.

"We've had to deal with some major losses today. This is our fault. We were stupid and rushed it all. That's why some major changes will be happening to the Avengers."

"That's right. We allowed the US Government and SHIELD to have too much influence over our activities and dictate what we do," Steve added. "We need to change that. And the first change we will be making is the number of squads. We will be adding 3 new squads and several more members. The leaders of each of these new squads will be Iron Man, Thor, and Jack Frost."

None of the others had strong reactions when they heard this but Jack did.

'I'm being put in a leadership position? Already? The Avengers really need to start doubting people. I'm not even sure if I am going to have to end up betraying them in the future or not.'

Jack kept these thoughts in his head as he was not stupid enough to say them out loud. Instead, he said...

"Are you sure? I've only been a hero for a couple of months and have no leadership experience."

"Of course they are sure. I've recommended you. I've seen the way you worked with Tandy, Tyrone, and Johnny teaching them how to use their powers to their best abilities and not fear them," Natasha said with a rare, genuine smile on her face

"You are also great with the kids. You teach them valuable lessons about the world honestly while still helping them retain their innocent," Janet added on

"Most importantly, you are one of the mightiest of us!" Thor said loudly with a laugh

Jack laughed at that and accepted the position without arguing about it. If they were willing to make him the leader of his own squad, then he was willing to take it.

"Alright. What will the name of my squad be?"

"Undetermined. We plan on holding auditions next week before allowing all the leaders to choose their members," Steve explained

Jack nodded at this. They then spoke about the auditions that would be held. While they were discussing this, Reed and Hank came up to the room.

"We just got done examining Black Bolt. From what I can tell, he has been influenced by The Wizard. Need to run a couple more tests but I'm 99% sure that's who is behind it."

"The Wizard? He has dealings with Leviathan?" Clint questioned

"Something more is going on. Weapon H with HYDRA, The Wizard with Leviathan, Crimson Dynamo and Morbius teaming up," Natasha pointed out. "The villains are starting to work together. They see that the Avengers and similar hero groups are forming. This is their way of surviving."

"All the more reason to continue with our plan then," Tony said without telling Reed and Hank about the plan for adding new squads. He did not want to deal with their egos.

The others nodded and the meeting was dismissed. Later that day, Black Bolt was released from the mind control of The Wizard. He still had to stay in the lower levels but was able to stay with the other Inhumans.

Later that night, when all the Inhumans had gathered and were discussing their future plans, Jack appeared in the center of their circle. Jack had phased through the floor beneath and floated before them.

"Hello. I have an offer for you all. How would you like to retake your kingdom?"
