Issue #3

The Illuminati and Frost Family were not the only ones holding meetings in the dark. Magneto had gathered those he trusted the most into his private meeting room to discuss not the attack their nation had just survived but their future.

The ones that were in the room were his 3 children and the man he trusted even more than them, Exodus. With the 5 of them gathered, the future of Genosha and Magneto's dream was present.

"Father. Why are we down here?" his youngest daughter Laura questioned. Laura was the most similar to her father with her powers. She could also manipulate magnetic forces, though to a lesser degree

"Because there is something that I need to discuss with you, Pietro, and Exodus. Wanda already knows of the situation but with recent developments, I feel it is time we brought you 3 in on it as well.

We will be abandoning Genosha in a few years in favor of a new nation. An entire world that will be exclusively for mutants," Magneto admitted to the others

Hearing this news, the 3 that were not informed of it before were shocked. Magneto threatened to kill nations in order to get Genosha but he was willing to abandon it in order to rule a different world.

Pietro was living in a different world than him. With his high-speed processing, he was able to understand most of the situation in less than a second.

"It has to do with Jack Frost, right?"

Hearing that he already understood the mastermind behind th matter, Magneto wanted to praise his son but it was not time for that.

"Indeed. He is the one who shall be leading the nation. At least that is what I believe. How the government of this new world will work is undecided. All I know is that he had promised me and those I trust a high position in it."

"But that is no guarantee. And if he crowns himself king or something similar, what are we to do?" Exodus expressed his worries immediately.

His main loyalty was to Magneto so he always wanted to latter's best interest. But as they say, 'The emperor is not worried, but the eunuchs are worried to death.'

"He will not do something like that. Because he is no leader. Emma Frost, Charles Xavier, and myself. We are all leaders who others flock to. Jack is charismatic and can draw others in as well. But the difference between us is simple.

He doesn't want the responsibility. The burden it takes to lead one's people. So even if he was the one that discovered, conquered, and built our new kingdom, he will not crown himself as the sole leader because he does not wish to have all of our kind's fate rest in his hands."

Magneto trusted Jack. It was not blind trust just because he liked the younger man's personality. It was because after interacting with him for so long, he understood Jack's mind.

But Exodus was still not so easily appeased. The number of time he and Jack had met could be counted on one hand while the number of times they spoke was even less. Even if he was able to get Magneto's trust, Exodus was still wary of him.

"I understand Magneto, but we must be cautious. 'Hope for the best but prepare for the worst' as the humans say."

Hearing him say it like this, Magneto nodded. He felt that this man's words were reasonable.

"Then what do you all suggest we do to ensure that we are not left behind?" Magneto threw the question to the entire

None of them had an answer though. Being the new ruler and Emma Frost's fiance, he had all the wealth he needed. He already had their support so it was not like they could offer that to him. there was really nothing that Jack needed from him.

Magneto realized this too and thought they were in a predictament. But when his gaze landed on Wanda, a thought flashed across his mind.

"What about a arranged political marriage? He seemed to show interest in you, Wanda, while we were building Eden these past few months."

Wanda blushed but didn't say anything in response. She also felt that Jack was flirting with her but thought of it as nothing more than friendly banter. Now that her father was pointing it out and discussing marriage, she felt embarrassed about it al.

"You can't let her marry him!" Pietro immediately rejected the idea. "He already has a fiancee. You want my sister to be a mistress?"

"Don't be stupid. I would never let my daughter be just mistress. Who says that we have to follow the same ways that humans have? This is a new land which means we can make our own laws and rules."

Exodus had an excited expression on his face. He was originally from the 12th century so political marriages were things he was familiar with and he knew how well they worked. They had kept many kingdoms or noble families from slaughtering one another.

"I approve of this, Magneto. Please propose this proposal to Jack at the next meeting you have with Jack."

Magneto nodded toward him before looking at his children to ask for their permission. He invited them down there to hear their thoughts so he would not allow this meeting to end without them speaking on the matter at hand.

"If Wanda has no objection to it, I won't. But if she refuses, then I shall also oppose it," Laura said, showing that she was sideing with her sister, not with their whole family.

"I agree with Laura," the sis-con said

So now, all eyes were on Wanda as they waited for her decision. And she uttered 3 words that would change the fate of all mutants. But unlike in another universe, this would be a change for the better.

"Let us marry."

And with that, Jack would get the second woman he was planning on courting without putting in close to as much effort as it took for Emma to agree to their first date.
