Frost's Greed (Marvel)

Everyone follows Xavier, the idealist. Everyone worships Magneto, the extremist. None dare to disrespect Apocalypse, the militarist. But what about the final of the big 4. The one who has lost their students at every turn. The one that walks down the darkest path and is unwilling to put their faith in none outside of their circle of trust. The one that cares not about how humans view mutants nor about the infighting of others. Whose only true care is for the students. This is not a story about her but about a student of hers that believes in her ideas and teachings. Not about peaceful coexistence or mutant supremacy or survival of the fittest. To strive for a brighter tomorrow, even if they have to make it through the blackest night. This is the story of one boy following learning how to be a mutant in a world that hates him under the teachings of the White Queen. He will go from an inexperienced kid to one of the most important mutants in the world ------------ I'm guaranteeing this story for a year, averaging a chapter per day (major holidays may get no chapter or more chapters.) This means that this will be my longest and most secure story, and hopefully the best, on the site. *Warnings! Warnings! Warnings!* - This takes place in an AU of Marvel. So while most things will remain similar to what most people are familiar with, there will be some changes (Some characters being mutants or mutates, etc) - He will start off weak power-wise. He will become very powerful eventually but not for now. He must earn the crowd's favor. - This will be a harem.

Issue #2

"Crap. Crap. Crap! MJ is gonna kill me! I'm gonna kill me!" Spider-Man quietly cursed to himself as he swung from building to building. Spider-Man's kid was being birthed that day, and he was running late due to a battle with the Green Goblin. He had promised her that he would take the day off from being Spider-Man but with the threat that the Green Goblin was posing, Spider-Man had no choice but to suit up.

Just as he arrived in front of the hospital where his wife was giving birth, Spider-Man saw an unusual sight. 20 police officers had their guns trained on a man in blue and white with pure white hair and a child in his arms. Close to him was a car that was being held up by two ice spikes.

'Really? Really?! Ugh! MJ, I am so sorry!'

Spider-Man swung down and landed behind one of the police officers in the back. He tapped the woman on her shoulder which almost got him shot due to her surprise.

"Shhh. What's going on here?"

The officer let out a sigh of relief when she saw it was Spider-Man who had come. The guy they were facing had powers and a hostage so they weren't sure about how to handle him.

"Some nurse was bringing a kid to another hospital for treatment. This guy decided to take the opportunity to take the kid. Not sure if something is wrong with him mentally or what but he hasn't made any major moves. He just keeps using snow to play with the kid."

Spider-Man nodded and watched for a little longer. He wanted to observe the situation and wait for a chance to make his move and save the kid.

Standing in the middle, Jack once again tried to explain himself.

"Officers. Can you all please listen to me now?" he requested for the 10th time

"Put down the child and we can!" and they gave him the same response for the 10th time

Jack was about to just say 'Fuck it!' and unleash a blizzard on the cops but then he caught sight of something blue and red in the back. Seeing who had arrived, his eyes sparkled.

"Spider-Man! Come on up! You can vouch for me!"

Spider-Man was surprised that the man had noticed him. But since he lost the element of surprise, he moved to the center of the circle and stood 10 feet from Jack.

"I'm pretty sure I don't know you so I count vouch for you. Why don't you let the kid go, Frosty?"

"First, I prefer Jack Frost, not Frosty the Snowman. Second, I am more than willing to let the child go but can you listen to me first. I tried to explain to these cops but they weren't in a listening mood."

Seeing that he didn't have a good angle and that Jack was very vigilant, Spider-Man nodded.

'Hopefully, during his villain monologue, I get a chance to save the kid.'

Finally having a chance to explain himself properly, Jack smiled

"Excellent. So I will explain myself in a couple of points. The first is the nurse herself.

When does a nurse ever bring a child outside of a hospital? Even if they needed emergency treatment at another hospital because of a lack of supplies or a good doctor, they would not send a nurse in a car. They would either send a doctor with the kid or at least an EMT in a helicopter or ambulance."

Spider-Man nodded when he heard this and turned to the nurse for a moment. What Jack said had the wheels beginning to spin.

"Second is the child right here. She was just born and is getting emergency treatment but is only being brought out of the hospital in a thin cotton blanket on a freezing winter night? That makes no sense as well."

Now that Jack was explaining himself, the police officers also started listening. The ones closest to the nurse turned their attention to her.

"Lastly is the child's mother. There is a woman in there whose last name is Watson and has just been told her child was stillborn. But if you do a DNA test between that woman and this clearly breathing child, I'm sure you will find that her child is very much alive."

Spider-Man froze when he heard the name of the child's mother. He started putting together the pieces in his mind.

'MJ's and my child was stillborn yet is alive in front of me? On the same night that Norman has decided to do something for the first time in over 6 months? This is too much of a coincidence.'

Seeing that Spider-Man had understood everything, Jack sent the baby over to him with a small swirl of snow. The baby landed safely in the hero's arms.

"I will be taking off now," Jack declared as he started floating in the air. No one tried to stop him. With the way he pointed out the matter, it only made sense for him to stop the nurse.

"Fine. But if we find out you've done anything wrong, I'll catch you."

Jack smiled when he heard that. He was pretty sure that Spider-Man had no chance of taking him in a fight.

"No worries. I'll be in town for at least another month so I'm sure we will meet again," Jack was about to fly away when he thought of something, "Oh. I just brought a kid named Leah here. She's your biggest fan. Drop by and give her a greeting if you're able to."

Spider-Man nodded before taking the little baby inside of the hospital where he had a DNA test done and checked Jack's story with the police. Within an hour, it was found out the nurse was fake, the doctor had lied to MJ, and everything Jack said was the truth.

The doctor that Jack saw when he brought in Leah even praised him a few times to the police and Spider-Man. With both of these stories about Jack saving 2 different children in a single night, his fame had already begun to spread without his knowledge.

Peter sat next to his wife in the hospital room. The redhead was holding onto her baby for dear life. After the rollercoaster of emotions she had gone through from giving birth, finding out her baby was dead, then finding out she was alive, she could barely stay awake. But the smile on her child's face made it worth it.

"She's so cute, Tiger. And she's all ours," MJ smiled while teasing their daughter

"Hmm. May Parker, you might have had the most exciting first few hours after birth as anyone could have."

MJ turned to Peter told him, "Make sure you thank that man who saved her. I wouldn't know what I would have done if she was truly dead."

Peter nodded and promised his wife. He also knew they owed Jack a great debt for what he had done for their family.
