Chapter 15; Superman's Decision

With the main Kryptonian ship approaching the city of Metropolis, all the citizens left in awe seeing the their Alien ships just flying above their heads. Zod initiated his first move by activating the phantom drive making the ship beam down it's energy cannon. Zod was ready to ready to lay this world to waste with his order "Activate the world engine."

Before the ship could activate the gravitational cannon time slowed down, as we could see the lightning trails blitzing through the streets none stop with people seemingly disappearing from the city.

Jacob running with lightning streaming around him, as he ran to the closest point of the beam were the curious citizens gathered. Reaching his destination he started to vibrate before starting to split into one, then two, then ten as they all started the evacuation by picking the civilians and zooming of to the farthest reach of metropolis. The population was getting reduced at an accelerated rate while everyone's perception was slowed to the crawl.

At the normal rate it seemed like there was lightning blitzing around people, as they seemingly seemed to vanish before they could react. Looking at his friend at work he got ready to do his part, as Godwin saw the fighter planes were about to launch their missiles he erected a golden barrier around the planes setting them on the floor as he knows he could not afford to have casualties now.

While the beam started to lift and slam there were no people this time who would suffer their terrible fate, as the lightning streaks that was literally jumping, phasing and streaking around the city before Godwin noticed the planes approaching them before saying.

"ey bro, they are here."

The beam was then cut off, making Jacob that was running none stop sag in relief as he saved the people. Now was the time to get as much of the goodies he could before the ship went to phantom zone, reaching and pulling out his ring of storage that could store anything he wanted like his own version of the inventory. He then sped up again his suit shifting around his hands and the soles of his feet, he blasted of using his speed. Running before blasting towards the kryptonian ship he the jumped, before his boots emitted repulsion at an indescribable speed flying upwards.

Upon reaching the necessary hight he phased through the ship, he could see the panic of the Kryptonians as he sped past them stealing their most of their armoury, their ships and even their armored suits. Then appearing in front them seeing Faora again he said "Sup bitches, I'd love to stay and chat but I've got better things to do sooo...Meep Meep" doing the leprechaun kick zooming off, leaving the kryptonians dumbfounded before Faora roared "After him!!!" Pointing to the lightning trail,

She then saw the incoming human gunship that was accompanied by their smaller aircrafts, getting into a launcher she was shot in their trajectory.

As the gunship was approaching the Alien craft with Hardy piloting the ship, Lois with Dr. Hamilton were approaching the space craft that Superman came in while the back of the plane opened revealing the two escort jets accompanying them. She then took the command key and tried to insert it, but it was left hanging in a magnetic lock not moving an inch.

"You have got to be kidding me." She said in disbelief before they all heard Hardy's voice through the comms "Load-master, is the package ready to drop?"

Seeing the situation that was happening with the alien craft the soldier responded "Negative, Guardian." Looking at Hamilton, Lois spoke in panic "There's something wrong, it's not supposed to do this." Looking back at her in confusion he asked her "What's it supposed to do?" She responded ""It was supposed to go all the way in" Fixing his glasses Hamilton told her "Let me take a look." Starting to tinker with the space craft, not hearing the good news Hardy looked at his co pilot saying "Co pilot's aircraft?" The pilot nodded responding ""/Co pilot's aircraft." taking over the control of the gunship, as Hardy went to the cargo area.

Approaching the team he asked with urgency "We are lined up for the drop, what's the hold up?" Hamilton looking at the approaching commander answered "We had a setback!" Before both of the escort jets blew up to kingdom come, out of the smoke emerged another gunship a kryptonian one.

Zod piloting the gunship said to the ship's AI "Target that aircraft." The ship's system started beeping, the noise slowly climbing in acceleration as the target was getting locked.

{Target Locked}

Before he could push the handle fully down to shoot, Superman who was flying towards the ship sped up ramming against the ship and crashing into the interior as the Kryptonian ship missed it shot nearly clipping the human gunship. Landing roughly on the pilot chamber Superman's eyes glowed with the barely released heat vision "STOP!" Zod screamed "IF YOU DESTROY THIS SHIP.... YOU DESTROY KRYPTON!!!" Pleading with Kal'el not to go through this destruction, the glow dimmed in Kal'el's eyes before he responded "Krypton had it's chance!" Before superman's eyes glowed with a more violent intensity unleashing the heat vision with a roar destroying the ship's command chair.

The ship then started to plummeting to the ground losing control, Godwin then caught the Kryptonian battleship to prevent unnecessary destruction of human properties as he had being doing damage control blocking the gravitational beam that would have laid waste to the city if he did nothing.

The gunship still on it's way to the Kryptonian craft was not left unscathed as Hamilton figured a way to fix the craft, a soldier was trying to get Lois away from the entrance of the gunship before Faora burst from underneath the ship launching everyone away as the poor screaming soldier thrown out of the craft.

The soldiers knowing that they will die decided that they'll go down swinging before aiming at her and shooting what they had at her from bullets to launched grandes that Faora now having their attention ignored the Kryptonian craft and focused on the soldiers as she started to march on their direction ignoring the explosions and bullets.

After eviscerating the soldiers with her speed she saw the commander again, before she frowned seeing as he fled to the cockpit. Bursting right through the metal while the soldiers tried to buy their commander some time as the final soldier got his neck snapped.

On the cargo area Hamilton gathering his wits, stood up and slammed the command key on the craft as this time it sank sending out a burst of energy that seemed to cover most of the ship. Hardy knowing his time has come turned to faora with a grin and said "A good death is it's own reward." Before tipping the gunship towards the Kryptonian Space ship.
