13 The Number One???
Whilst he watched the battles within his class, Ye Qin remembered something "Wait didn't one of them say they would kowtow and call me grandpa three times if I won a battle? Guess I'll collect interest once I become number one in the class." he thought.
Not far from him, the homeroom teacher Mo Qiu stared at Ye Qin's back and seemed like she is thinking of something. Shortly afterward, the class rep Li Yutong came back to the seats and sat down next to Ye Qin after winning her battle.
The two sitting next to each other just tens of centimeters away didn't say a thing as they watched the proceeding battles. Once all sixteen students from each class had their battles, it became a battle between the top eight of each class.
Ye Qin's classmates didn't say anything to him since he had beaten Xie Xuefeng with just a single attack meaning he would easily be in the top four of the class. Since they knew this, the unlucky person who was put with the former forfeit before the match even begun making some of the class put him down whilst others said he was smart to not challenge Ye Qin in a pointless match putting him in the final 4 of his class.
As for Li Yutong, she won her battle after a tough fight making her barely managing to get into the top four of her class along with Ye Qin. As for the other two, one is Lang Hui, the leader of the class bullies, and the other another female student name Tang Yaling.
Everyone knew of Lang Hui the bully, and the class rep Li Yutong, however for two students who hardly ever talked in the class to reach the final four, the class was bewildered. Mo Qiu, however, didn't look surprised by the outcome of the matches.

The Final four was between Ye Qin vs Lang Hui and Li Yutong vs Tang Yaling, though some students didn't know what to say since there were two males and two females making the final two match up seem slightly disadvantageous due to the belief that males are superior to females. As for Ye Qin, he didn't believe such a thing and couldn't care less whether his opponent is a male or female as long as they are strong.
Shortly after announcing the final four, the first match between Li Yutong and Tang Yaling begun. Facing each other across from the other side of the field, the referee blew the whistle to begun as Li Yutong called out her monster.

[Element: Ice]
[Level: 9]
A pale blue pheasant, the size of two chickens flew out from a blue light as it spiraled in the air before appearing in front of its master.
Then Tang Yaling too called out her partner from within her monster sea. Ye Qin naturally didn't miss out on taking a look at its parameters.

Similarly, a purple peacock flew out of purple light as it spread its large tail out showcasing its mesmerizing patterns.
"Hmm, I naturally saw the Rare grade before which was surprising but the level went up by one which means it was already close to leveling up before the exams begun." Ye Qin thought.
Looking at the difference in levels and grade, Ye Qin naturally knew who would win the fight, as for his classmates, they were excited in this battle between beauties and birds.
Li Yutong made the first move as her Cold Pheasant soared in the air towards Tang Yaling's Phantasm Peacock while shooting out blasts of cold air from its mouth.
The Phantasm Peacock flapped its wings in the air without moving from its spot as the blasts of cold ice fly through its body as if it were a ghost.
"What? The blasts just went through it?" Classmate A shouted.
"It must be its ability!" Classmate B replied.
Ye Qin shook his head as he stared at the Phantasm Peacock and thought "Interesting, so it watched the movements of the blasts and dodged with minimal movement which made it seem like it just simply phased through its body."
Li Yutong didn't stop her attacks as her Cold Pheasant flew back and flapped its wings forward whilst a barrage of pale blue and white feathers flew forward like a minigun spraying.
This time, the Phantasm Peacock blocked the assault by waving its tail at the barrage and defended itself as the seemingly endless barrage tried to plow through its defenses.
Tang Yaling finally took the initiative after stopping the barrage of feathers as the Phantasm Peacock's tail started shining a dark purple light whilst it's body looked as if it had become larger in size.
Within just a few seconds, the larger Peacock made strange movements then what looked like clones of itself begun multiplying around the Cold Pheasant.
"What? Isn't that the K*ge B*shin n* J*tsu?!" Classmate B shouted.
"Shut it weeb!" Classmate C replied.
"Eww, what a dork!" Female Classmate A shouted.
"..."
"These guys... Can't they just watch without commenting?" Ye Qin thought as the battle between females continued.
Tang Yaling's Phantasm Peacock's clones flapped its feathers as they hovered in the air in a strange pattern.
The Cold Pheasant shot ice blasts continuously at the peacocks however, every blast didn't hit its target as they just simply phased through and dispersed into the air.
Tang Yaling's peacock then attacked by sending a barrage of feathers at the pale blue pheasant from all sides making it unable to escape.
Shriek! Shriek!
Blood dripped down as the Cold Pheasant's cries alarmed Li Yutong as she opened her mouth and said "I yield!" which stopped the endless barrage of feathers by the Phantasm Peacock which had released its clones and disappeared into its master's Monster Sea.
"Winner, Tang Yaling!" the referee shouted.

Returning to the seats, the class didn't know whether to feel happy or sad because of the previous match. Tang Yaling came back without any changes in expression while Li Yutong's tears slowly slid out from her eyes as she wiped them with the palm of her hands.
"That was a bit harsh." Mo Qiu spoke to Tang Yaling.
"..."
Tang Yaling didn't reply as she found herself a seat whilst Ye Qin's match against Lang Hui begun.

Standing across the field from Lang Hui, Ye Qin faced the former who is staring at him.
"Semi-Final Match of Class 5 between Ye Qin and Lang Hui begin!" the referee shouted.
Woosh!
Lang Hui called out his monster with a flash of purple light. A two-headed canine standing on all fours at 3m in height along with razor-sharp teeth that stretched to a length of 40 centimeters stared at Ye Qin and growled.
Growl! Grr! Grr!
"Ye Qin! No matter what tricks you use today, I will be the number 1 of Class 5!" Lang Hui hissed at the man before him.

Ye Qin standing across from him didn't reply as he called out his partner from within his monster sea.
Woosh! Flash!
A golden koi flew out from a golden circle in front of Ye Qin as it soared in the air elegantly before turning to face its unworthy foe.
"Let's end this quickly! I'll do it in one move." Lang Hui shouted.
The two heads on the thunder dog turned slightly towards each other as they gathered lightning from its teeth then turned to face the gold flying koi as the lightning masked its teeth on both heads.
"Go!" Lang Hui shouted.
The two-headed dog sprinted and pounced at the golden koi with great speed while pointing its fangs at its foe.
Ye Qin's golden koi looked as if it was scared and didn't move however, once the monsters made contact, the golden koi seemed to have teleported to the thunder dog's side before giving it an earthshaking headbutt.
Pow!
Roar!
The Thunder Dog flew down onto the ground instantly as it slowly stood back up on all fours and roared at the golden koi.
"What!? That's impossible!' Lang Hui shouted.
"Impossible huh, you ever thought that your dog might be slow?" Ye Qin replied.
"Slow? A lightning element monster and a dog at that, being slower than a fish? Bullsh*t!" Lang Hui screamed as he ordered his partner to attack once again.
Ye Qin's koi simply dodged each and every attack like it was nothing whilst the thunder dog kept taking its headbutt straight on causing a visible blue vein to appear on Lang Hui's forehead.
Within just a few minutes, the thunder dog ran out of energy as its cries begin to soften greatly. To finish it off, Ye Qin's koi disappeared once more from the thunder dog's sight and appeared underneath it before headbutting it into the air as it flew up and dropped down like a dolphin jumping into the air.
"Winner, Ye Qin!" the referee shouted for everyone to hear.
"He did it! Ye Qin actually beat Lang Hui! In fact, Lang Hui couldn't even land a hit!" Classmate A shouted.
"No! No! To lose so miserably to the Ye's trash! How can this be!" Lang Hui screamed as he dropped on his knees.
Ye Qin called back his partner into the monster sea as he walked back to his seat next to Li Yutong who stopped crying and looked at him as he came closer and closer.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" Ye Qin asked his class rep.
"You looked really cool beating Lang Hui." Li Yutong said after mustering all of her courage as he face became bright red making it possible for even Ye Qin to tell that she's embarrassed.
"Thanks…" he replied as he sat down next to her and rested for a bit before his match against Tang Yaling starts.

"Class 5 Final Match, Ye Qin against Tang Yaling begin!" the referee shouted.
"The final match! I wonder who will win!" Classmate A shouted.
"I'm betting on Ye Qin!" Classmate B replied.
"No, no Tang Yaling will win!" Classmate C shouted.
The students of class 5 argued with one another and placed bets on the person who they think will win. The odds against Ye Qin were 5:1.
However, to everyone's surprise, before any monsters were called out Tang Yaling said "I forfeit." then left the stage.
"Huh?"
"NOOO my munny!!!" someone shouted.
"Munny!!!!!!!!!!!"
"Yes! I bet on Ye Qin! Hahaha, give me my munny!!"
