Sonic Ware Bat

Ossa dug the core out of the wasp and swallowed it. Just like the core of the hypno moth, it disappeared as it reached its rib cage.

" Any change, has my rank increased " Ossa inquired, excited for a rank up.

[ No, you are still a tier-one mystic creature ]

" Hey, how come, I jumped to the mystic stage when I ate the hypno moth's core, " He said, doubting the system's words.

[ The hypno moth was a peak-tier creature, forcefully breaking you from a normal creature to a mystic creature. Basic skeleton warriors are normally normal creatures with only a handful being mystic creatures with even fewer becoming dragonic. ]

[ So it will take more than just one mid-tier normal core to rank you up, you would need at least 50, but if you get a mystic core from mid-tier to peak tier, 10 would be enough ]

" Becoming strong is not as easy as I thought, " Ossa said as he realized that his goal of becoming powerful was a long one.

" Well, whatever, I just got to hunt more creatures " He resolved himself as he walked towards the next wasp corpse.

SQUEEE!! SQUEEE!! SQUEEE!! SQUEEE!

Sensing the approach of an enemy, Ossa jumped forward, escaping the claws of a sonic ware bat.

A humanoid bat creature with the face of a fox and the size of an adult male. Black fur adorned its neck, like a beautiful neck mane.

Its reddish-brown fangs peered out of its mouth as it flew in circles seemingly studying the moving skeleton.

" What's ... "

[ That's a mid-tier normal Sonic Ware bat ]

Knowing what Ossa wanted to ask the system answered.

" Any useful information I need to know before I engage it in battle " Ossa inquired as he remained still, scrutinizing the ware bat that was hesitant to land.

[ They are sensitive to sound and move in groups. They attack by using sonic blasts, a sound base attack from their screams ]

" Any weakness, I can exploit " Ossa asked.

[ I should have increased your intelligence beyond that of a teen. You are too needy. Find that out for yourself. Master told me to increase it to that of a teen so that you would grow with time but if I tell you everything how would you grow ]

The system nagged.

" Huh, why is Mors being like that... Well whatever, I will find a way, if its masters wish for me to grow through experience then I shall do just that " He resolved himself.

With a determined mind, He aimed at the flying creature's wings, and with all his strength threw the pitchfork at it.

The pitchfork flew and easily tore through the unexpecting ware bat's wings, bringing the flying humanoid creature down.

The creature lay on its back confused as to what happened. It thought the skeleton was strange but it paid it no heed as it was more cautious about the dead wasp.

It had circled the wasp which Ossa so happened to stand beside.

Before it could verify whether the wasp was dead or not, it found its wing torn, its body hurtling downwards and now lying on its back, confused.

" Got it, " Ossa said excitedly as he rushed towards the bat.

The bat struggled on the ground as it tried to get up, after struggling for a while it rose to its feet. With a thud, it fell once again feeling a strong hit to its chest.

Confused it turned its head towards the direction it was hit.

Its black eyes dimly reflected a skeleton with green flickering lights in its eyes sockets staring at it.

Fearful it screamed calling its buddies.

The skeleton which had no eardrums heard the sound but instead of finding its ear piercing, it found it annoying.

The skeleton with its fingers straightened plunged it into the bat's throat, shutting it up for good.

" See, I did it without needing your help," Ossa said happy at his accomplishment.

[ What a child ]

" Hey!! "

[ Killed a midtier Sonic ware bat ]

" Are you going to ignore me "

[ Extracting life force ]

" Wait, now that I can get stronger from my mana drain skill, give all the life force I gain to Master Bel " Ossa requested.

[That's smart of you ]

" What... I didn't say that " Ossa protested as he did not say that.

" Hey, if you do that it would take long for me to evolve " He added.
