A Cold serving

Leo confronts the NewGods demanding to know what happened to Pyre. "where is pyre! What did you do!" his yelling echo in the empty halls. His yelling answered by Helios who takes a step forward to tell him "Pyre has passed". Flora's taken aback and grabs unto Leo's shirt to get him away, but he simply pushes her aside and grab Helios by the collar.

"Get back in that arena" Flora tries once again to pull her friend away but Leo isn't budging. Khuno decide to Chime in "He have already fought. this is a tournament". Leo now looking at Khuno lets go of Helios shirt and point at him. "so you will be fine if I fight you?" Khuno with a blank stare accepts the challenge.

all of the sudden at the end of the Hall they hear the yell of a man. "What is going on here!". a stout man in fancy clothing is walking in looking around the almost empty halls. A man that had been standing along the wall until now walks up to the stout man. "I am Truly sorry mister Pound. it seem that a fighter have killed his opponent". The man Yell at him "Big deal! Gladiators take it too far sometimes. I want to know where the competitors are". The man instead of giving him a clear answer walks him to the metal door and shows him the destruction. "My arena!" Pound yelled. "you are telling me that this gladiator destroyed my tournament!". Pounds yelling is met by a sudden sentence from the large man of the NewGods. "Hey excuse me we like to start round 2".

Pound looks over at them before turning to the man in the suit. "there is a camera in the backroom. Take it and get on the roof". the man nods and leave finally allowing Leo to fight Khuno. Leo have calmed down a bit after the scene Pound made finally having pay attention to Flora. "Please don't" Flora says with tears in her eyes. Leo gives a small smile before taking her hand and shaking his head. "How could I just back down after what they did". Leo lets go and makes his way towards the metal door along with Khuno.

While entering the Arena Leo's fear begin setting in after seeing the state of the place. The cameras of the arena had completely melted into the walls. the once nature filled arena was now black with ash with burned grass.

Now in the middle of the arena Leo and khuno stands in front of each other. the tv's in the foyer that before just showed static is once again showing footage from the arena. Flora feeling like she failed at stopping her friend puts her hand together and wish for Leo safety.

Leo staring at Khuno begin to sweat as the situation begin to fully set in. But he places his foot down, and grind his teeth to pull himself together. The two fighters now waiting for the announcer to give them the go are waiting in complete silence.

The fight begins and Leo decide to start up by shooting shards of ice towards Khuno who covers his hand in ice as well and shatter them. " same type as me" Leo says before placing his hand on the ground creating spikes that moves along it. but the spikes break as khuno walks on them. They were supposed to stop him from moving he thought but in front of him was a man casually walking towards him. Leo lashes out making a shiv in his hand but before he could use it to slash he was punched in the chest knocking him backwards.

while stumbling backwards Leo throws more ice that doesn't even get close to hitting the mark. Khuno who have gotten close once more stomps into the ground and out of it a pillar shoots up and hits Leo straight in the stomach.

Leo now gasping for air looks up and get a good look upon Khuno's eyes. they had no malice. they felt un feeling. Was he so meaningless to him that he couldn't even bother caring about their fight. "are you done?". Am I? is this truly all I got? these thoughts of doubt coming to his mind. Leo grit his teeth before shooting out a bunch of icicles at Khuno once more but instead of simply shattering like the first they became an icy mist after being broken.

Leo's plan was to obscure his view using the mist and so far it seem to have worked. Khuno shoots some ice along the ground which moves along it till its in front of Khuno where it launches towards him. Khuno blocked it again but while he is distracted Leo was running towards him with a blade of ice.

I did it! I won! " this is for Pyre!"

A moment of victory that never came as he seem to have stopped moving. Flora Watching everything from the foyer now got a face of pure terror and shock.

Why cant I move. Leo thought. I cant feel anything. the mist begin to disperse Allowing the onlookers to see what happened. and what they can see is Leo with a spike stabbed trough his spine. How? Khuno answer " you weren't exactly hard to predict?"

Flora has run to the metal door and pulls it open so she can run to her friend. the spike disappears and Leo falls to the ground completely unmoving. "Appreciate my mercy" Khuno says as he leaves and passes Flora who is rushing to Leo's side with tears running down her cheeks. "Leo! please tell me you are ok" she begs. Leo looking up at Flora says one thing "I cant move".
