Chapter 19 : Rex and a Juice Box

“Walking you to the classroom,” Rex said as he began to follow me inside.

“NO!! Please no!”

He began to shake his head and I threw my hands in the air.

“Listen, you are going to draw so much attention! I’ll call you and keep the phone on. If anything happens, you’ll know. Please…”

I gave him the most pitiful look I could muster, but I was in no way faking it or pretending. I could not explain away an extremely handsome bodyguard escorting me to my classes throughout the day.

Rex decided to take pity on me and compromised. “Alright, you can go in unescorted, But, I am right here in case you need anything.”

“Thank you! Thank you!” I let out a sigh of relief and escaped into the school before he had a chance to change his mind.

As I hurried through the halls, I could tell that everyone seemed excited about something.

I leaned into the middle of a conversation between three girls to get a better idea of what was going on.
