A very bad morning

Checking herself in the mirror. Winter grabbed her bag and walked out of the apartment leaving for work. She was about to use the elevator but when she saw Edith coming out of her apartment she decided to use the stairs instead.

"Winter ___ "

"Later Edith." Winter said, cutting her off as she ran downstairs. Avoiding her.

She wasn't in the right mood to deal with the nagging Edith from the early morning.

Sighing to herself. Edith entered her apartment. She wanted to ask Winter about the man she saw entering her apartment yesterday. Edith was worried about her. She was certain that Winter was taking drugs. She just still hadn't caught her taking them or had a clue.

Edith was worried that Winter would end up like her mother. She was walking into a dark path. One that she can't go back from. That's why she needs to help her.

 _____

Fifi watched Winter noticing the new clothes she was wearing. Wondering where she got the money from. Usually. She borrowed the clothes from her. Curiosity was killing her so she walked towards her.

"Good morning. Winter." Fifi said, taking a seat next to her.

Winter, who was with a customer, didn't reply immediately.

"Fifty dollars. Sir." She said to the customer handing him the bill.

The customer handed her the money and took his bags and left.

Putting the money in the cashier's box. Winter finally turned to look at Fifi."Morning." She said as she took out a small bottle of liquor from her bag.

Glancing around her. She opened the bottle and gulped half of it in one gulp before she put it back in her bag.

"Bad morning?" Winter asked handing her a cigarette and the lighter

Taking the cigarette from her. She lit it. Taking a puff from it. She let out through her nose. Winter wasn't a smoker. But when things turn rough and her mood is at its lowest.

"A very bad morning." Winter replied, taking a second puff from the cigarette.

Last night. She had the same nightmare again of the day her mother committed suicide. She tried to wake up from this nightmare over and over again. But there was something or someone. A powerful force that was forcing her to stay in the nightmare and watch everything unfold all over again.

Winter woke up drenched in a cold sweat. She was both mentally and physically exhausted.
