46 Implementing the Program

After eating, the two headed off to work. None of them were speaking; they just enjoyed the silence and each other's company.

As they arrived at the company, the two held hands as they walked towards the elevator.

He Lixue was slightly bashful. She felt at peace and happy, but also somewhat embarrassed.

She felt happy as she turned around and walked into the department. Here she spent the whole day implementing the new security system. Since it had been approved, it needed to be implemented as soon as possible.

Everyone in the IT Security Department was busy. They did not have to install the program on every computer, most of it was done on the back-end, but even so, they still needed to install it on the servers and update the router configuration.

They were not going to install it during working hours, as it might cause some issues for the other workers, but they prepared everything so it could be deployed overnight.

He Lixue had planned on spending the evening together with Lu Nanfeng. Still, after knowing that they had to implement the program, He Lixue knew that she had to be there during the maintenance window as the developer of the program.

In case something did not work, she had to be there to solve all the problems. She picked up her phone and sent a text to Lu Nanfeng, telling him that she could go out and eat dinner with him, but after dinner, she had to return to the company and work overtime.

He Lixue was a little disappointed, but nothing more than a little. She had a whole life to spend alongside Lu Nanfeng, so it did not matter if they could not see each other every day.
