Going Out to Eat

Before Lu Nanfeng had the time to get frustrated, Li Hexue turned around and saw him. Her eyes sparkled with happiness, and she completely forgot about the coworker who was standing by her side, as she hurried to Lu Nanfeng's side.

The beast within Lu Nanfeng's heart, which had been feeling jealous and uncomfortable, was instantly pacified, and he smiled as he reached out his hand to rub her head in an adoring way.

He Lixue was unaware of the displeasure that Lu Nanfeng had felt, and the coworker was equally unaware that he almost lost his job because of Lu Nanfeng's childish jealousy.

He Lixue saw how Lu Nanfeng's face lit up in a gentle smile full of genuine happiness, and she was infected, smiling sweetly, as she took his hand.

She left the office with Lu Nanfeng, and while many looked at them, no one was surprised anymore.

Initially, He Lixue had wanted to keep a low profile, but after being seen with Lu Nanfeng time and time again, many already guessed that they were a couple.

The receptionist watched how Lu Nanfeng and He Lixue left the building while walking hand in hand, and she instantly fished out her phone and sent out a text message before returning to her tasks.

Lu Nanfeng decided that they had to go to a small, but very famous, restaurant that was placed relatively close to the office. It specialized in Cantonese cuisine. Their dishes were mainly seafood, that had a sweet and light taste.

They arrived in the middle of the dinnertime, and the restaurant, although small, was bursting with energy and noise.

Lu Nanfeng held He Lixue's hand as they waited in a queue to be led into the restaurant.

Just as they were standing and chatting with one another, a shrill voice sounded from behind, "Lu Nanfeng!"

Hearing the voice, Lu Nanfeng frowned, but many looked towards him. He was a famous figure in their country, the biggest genius of them all, and the richest and most eligible bachelor.

The woman who had called out was graceful and beautiful. She was swaying her hips as she walked towards Lu Nanfeng, but when she saw He Lixue, who was standing by his side and their interlocked hands, her face grew twisted.

"Lu Nanfeng, how can you do this to me?!" She exclaimed, and everyone listened curiously as to what was happening.

"We are engaged, and you still walk out and about with this little slut! What do you take me as, to be so blatant with a mistress in my face?!"

Everyone who listened had their face changing as they looked at He Lxue with disdain, but He Lixue just snorted.

"Many women want to be engaged with my man, who are you to claim to be engaged to him in front of such a big crowd?"

"His mother has approved of me already; I am his fiance!" Lin Xulian's face was twisted in rage, but He Lixue just laughed out loud.

"You are not, and have never been his fiance. His mother wants to push you onto him, but when you did date him, you were unfaithful. Now you have the cheek to come here and claim that I am a slut and that my man is unfaithful to you? You have nothing to do with him!"

When hearing her words, everyone was shocked. Were things as this delicate little girl said?

She seemed so sweet and innocent, but her mouth was so poisonous.

Lin Xulian's face twisted in anger, and her hands were tightly clenched into fists.

She had wanted to shame this little hoof into being bullied by everyone and have her reputation ruined, but she had turned it around, and now it was her who was being insulted.

This little bitch even dared to tell everyone that she was unfaithful? This was the biggest insult she had ever experienced in her life!

"You are just a whore who is selling her body to Lu Nanfeng!" Lin Xulian said. Her expressions were finally controlled again, and she looked as if she condemned He Lixue.

But Lin Xulian's words caused Lu Nanfeng's face to turn dark.

"He Lixue is my future Madam Lu," he said with conviction, and all the audience listened to his words while gasping.

"Who are you to comment on the relationship I share with my woman? Just because she is not from a prominent family, it becomes that she sells herself to me? It can't be love?"
