11 "You Said He Lixue?"

He Lixue? The leader of the IT Security department was shocked. He had heard about her life from the news, and he was genuinely surprised. The man was twenty-seven years old. He was a well-known manager within the company, and he was well-liked.

He quickly went to Human Resources to get a contract prepared. When he was about to leave the office, Lu Nanfeng's assistant, Assistant Hui, came to fetch him.

"CEO Lu wants to see you," he said professionally, and Manager Mo instantly followed the assistant towards the CEO's office.

As they arrived at the office, Assistant Hui knocked on the door. After hearing an approval sound from inside, he opened and let Manager Mo enter.

"Manager Mo, tell me what you found out about this computer genius that you have handpicked."

"Oh, you will not believe it!" Manager Mo was excited as he sat down opposite Lu Nanfeng. "She is twenty-two years old, and she lives in the Capital. She has a messed up life story; it's everywhere on the news! I bet even you have read about how the He family has left her behind, but her computer skills are amazing!"

"Wait, are you talking about He Lixue?" Lu Nanfeng looked at Manager Mo with shock in his eyes. How could she possibly be a computer genius? She was clearly a demure lady; how could she possibly have become a skilled hacker?

"It's really her," Manager Mo said with a nod of his head. "She is coming to sign the contract tomorrow."

"Wait," Lu Nanfeng fished out his private phone, dialed a number, as Manager Mo looked at him confusedly.

At the same time, in the apartment, He Lixue was calmly browsing the internet, checking the changes that had happened in the He family's stocks after she had released the news. Looking at how it had decreased by so much, her mood instantly brightened.

Suddenly her phone began ringing. She knew that the only person who'd call her was Lu Nanfeng, so she quickly picked up.

"My hero, you have time to call me!" she exclaimed happily when she picked up, and her words caused Lu Nanfeng to smile slightly. Was he really her hero?

"I hear you are coming tomorrow to sign a contract in my office," Lu Nanfeng said casually as he looked at Manager Mo, who was staring at him, mouth agape.

"Ah, yes, I planned on telling you when you said you would call me tonight," He Lixue said happily. "You said that I should get a job, and this is a well-paying job, so I should be able to pay for my bills with it!"

"How long have you known how to use computers like this?" Lu Nanfeng asked, slightly upset that there were sides to He Lixue, whom he did not know, sides that she was hiding from him.

"I have always liked computers," He Lixue said with a light voice. "I found online courses when I was younger, and since I was a young lady, I was not allowed to leave home, so I needed something to do."

Her voice was light and soft, making him unable to feel annoyed. "Well, when you have gone to the Human Resource Department tomorrow to deal with the procedures, come to my office. I have something to tell you."

"Something to tell me? You can't tell me now?" He Lixue asked curiously, but Lu Nanfeng just grinned. "No. You did not tell me about taking a job in my company, so of course, I got to punish you. You can be curious all the way until you come tomorrow."

Manager Mo was listening to Lu Nanfeng's words, and he was utterly lost for words. Why did it sound like his boss was flirting?

"I got to run, still have to deal with work." Lu Nanfeng said, after which he hung up the phone.

"Manager Mo, you have to look after He Lixue," he said thoughtfully. "She was not supposed to leave the sanatorium yet, so her body is frail. Don't overwork her, and let her take a lot of breaks. If she really is as brilliant as you say, just let her work on fewer projects."

Manager Mo was shocked that Lu Nanfeng was so careful about her as if she was a small glass figurine that could shatter at any moment.

Was she perhaps Lu Nanfeng's lover? He could not imagine it, considering that she had just woken up from a coma. Also, as he said, her body was immensely frail after not finishing the rehabilitation, could she even handle Lu Nanfeng's love?

But if it was not love, was it kinship? Everyone knew that Lu Nanfeng was a demon. Everyone feared him, so why was he so gentle towards this young woman?

Manager Mo had to admit that she was indeed an outstanding woman, her computer skills alone was enough to shock him, but he had also heard that she had trained to become a top socialite of the upper-class society.

That meant that she had to have learned various skills, such as calligraphy, tea brewing, piano, and dancing.

He was curious as to how this miss really was. He could not wait to see her the following day.

Lu Nanfeng was also in a good mood. He had been worried about He Lixue, but she was already able to find a good job. He was bursting with pride.

The rest of the day, Assistant Hui and the other people were all shocked as they looked at CEO Lu. He was in such a good mood, that even when the secretary had made a mistake, she was not given a warning letter. Instead, she was just told to be more focused in the future.

All of them were even more scared of a friendly boss than when he was a demon. They felt that he was trying to trick them.
