Forget Me Not

“Fuck, it just had to be one I’ve never read before!” Well, that won’t stop her from having fun. Original plot? Pfft don’t even know it, so let’s just screw around. Original pairings? What’s that? Let’s just pair the ones that look pleasing to the eyes together. As an outsider, she enjoys her popcorn and tea while watching the drama unfold. ... I will be posting the new story on a new novel with a new title. For now, I’ll upload every Tues, Thurs, and Sat KST time (Though, this will change if I receive enough love from all of you~). I know how unoriginal the premise is, and I do apologize for that. However, this is MY take on the whole transmigration thing!

Making Her Entrance

"Unbelievable!" A girl screeched in disdain while pushing another girl down to the ground, feeling a sense of satisfaction after seeing that girl's legs buckle pitifully, "You still have the guts to walk past us after shamefully taking away the heroine's role from Miss Amelia?!"

The girl on the ground trembled in silence while biting her lips. She fought against the tears that threatened to slide out and sat there pathetically, enduring the harsh words from the bullies. Although she wanted to get back up and nonchalantly shrug off the bully, her legs refused to listen to her commands. The rest of the students in the classroom didn't dare let out a single sound in case they became the next victim.

"Enough, enough," The girl the bully referred to as 'Amelia' walked up and silenced her lackey with a single motion of her hand, "I dislike resorting to violence in any situation. How many times must I tell you Ruby?"

Then, Amelia bent down with a smile that didn't quite reach her eyes as she forcibly raised the girl's head by grabbing her chin. "Do you have anything to confess fellow student?" Her lighthearted, friendly tone created an illusion that she was having a normal conversation with this student. But the bright glint in her eyes, to which only the girl could see, revealed her concealed anger.

However, while Amelia was too focused on enjoying the silence that washed over the classroom, she failed to perceive the girl's expression that gradually shifted from frightened to dazed to utterly confused. Amelia's attention switched back to the girl when she felt her moving around her head, fighting against her grasp. Her smile grew wider when she realized the girl was fighting to look at her surroundings.

"Fellow student," Amelia found it amusing that this girl was looking around to gain help from her other classmates, "I asked you if you have anything you wish to say?"

The girl stopped resisting as she moved her eyes to look straight into Amelia's eyes. Amelia's face remain undisturbed but internally, she was surprised, maybe even intimidated, by the girl's crystal clear eyes that seemed to penetrate through her. She felt her skin itch as she resisted the urge to look away. Amelia swallowed and realized that she had been holding her breath the entire time she was staring deep into the girl's motionless gaze.

Suddenly, while Amelia's guard lowered, the girl slapped off the hand that was grabbing her chin uncomfortably and even left a mark. She took another firm look at her surrounding before sizing up Amelia.

Before Amelia could say anything about her red hand, the girl cut in with a cold, hostile tone.

"Who the hell are you? …And where the hell am I?"

"…"

"Pfft!"

A loud laughter took over the previously silent classroom as the lackey named 'Ruby' and Amelia bursted out in laughter. Ruby started laughing since she thought the girl became an idiot due to the pressure of Miss Amelia's presence whereas Amelia giggled in embarrassment since she actually succumbed to this idiot's gaze earlier.

The girl stood up from the hard, uncomfortable ground and patted the dirt off of her white clothes. She walked past the laughing duo and stood in front of a nearby classmate sitting in his seat in a long table encompassing enough chairs for two other students. She slammed down onto his portion of the table, which silenced the classroom once again, and leaned in until their noses almost touched.

"Where am I?" She growled softly.

"S-school," He obediently replied. The male student she was talking very close to had a flustered face as he lowered his gaze. He didn't dare look at the girl directly in the face in case he received retribution for doing so.

"And who am I?" With his gaze lowered, he was unable to see the change in the girl's facial expression.

"Uh…" He thought the question was extremely unusual, but he had no choice but to reply, "You are Lynne Aldine? A student of this school?"

Lynne very slowly analyzed his face and white spotless uniform before backing away from him. She touched her own uniform, then glanced at the other bewildered students and the amused duo from earlier.

"Where's my seat?" She tapped the table again to alert the male student to talk again.

"I think it should be on the third row on the right side of the classroom. As for your exact seat? I-I think it's the middle one…?" He said with uncertainty. He warily looked up to see Lynne walking away from his table, and he sighed in relief.

Lynne reached the table the student specified and observed the nearby students' reactions until she reached the seat that seemed to be her's. In the white cushioned seat was a backpack.

"This is mine?" She pointed at the backpack while asking another nearby classmate. He nodded extremely quickly with a frightened expression. The student never remembered the previously timid, vulnerable Lynne to be able to command others so easily, so coldly.

She cautiously reached her seat as picked up the backpack with one hand. She squinted her eyes while observing the backpack. As if satisfied from whatever she saw, Lynne rummaged through the different zippers until she pulled out a smartphone. All the dumbfounded classmates watched as Lynne opened up her phone's camera and set it to selfie mode.

"Holy fuck, I'm gorgeous!" Lynne's loud, unrestrained shout frightened all the classmates. Even the duo from earlier slightly jumped as they were leaving the classroom, their interest lost in the current situation. Ruby threw back one last glare as she politely led Amelia out of the classroom.

Lynne, however, was too focused on checking herself out using her phone's camera. She used her free hand to feel her smooth elastic skin and ruffle her soft hair. Countless of thoughts were rushing through her mind as she looked at her changed reflection, but one of them was especially prominent.

"This face is a bit too immature looking," She frowned in dissatisfaction while pinching her cheeks to check if this was truly reality. Her frown deepened once she felt the pain of her pinch.

She turned off her phone and flopped down in her seat unhappily. She grew unhappier when she saw the dazed expression of all the students in the silenced classroom.

"What? Don't tell me it's your first time seeing such an attractive face," She clicked her tongue, annoyed by her current confusing situation.

Upon hearing her flaunting comment, her classmates turned their gazes away immediately. Lynne grew pleased seeing all the heads turn away so synchronized, her mood lightening.

"So, what grade are we in?" Lynne's mood was now pretty good compared to earlier, so she felt like chatting with the student sitting next to her left.

"We're first years. Though, the year is about to end soon," Her seat mate responded reluctantly but obediently.

"Say," Lynne caught onto her underlying unenthusiastic tone and leaned in with a small smile, "How come most of the students here seem so wary of me?"

Her seat mate jumped with a frightened expression. Sweat was starting to form on her forehead as she started bowing endlessly. "I'm sorry if I offended you, Miss. As for your question, it's because you are from the Aldine family. Thus, us lesser students must obey you in order to avoid our families from facing retribution," Although the student apologized wholeheartedly, she was cursing inwardly at Lynne's sudden change in demeanor. How come the easy to bully, quiet Lynne had become so intimidating all of a sudden?

"Hm," Lynne stroked her chin with her finger as she took in the flood of information, "So, who are the ones above me? Above my family?"

At this point, her seat mate seriously started to think that Lynne suddenly suffered from some sort of mental problem. Otherwise, why would she suddenly become so clueless to everything around her? Regardless, she had to answer.

"There are several families above you. Though, the most famous are the three: Miss Amelia Orion, Sir Enzo Ortiz, and Sir Zenon Crowley," Her seat mate answered cautiously, hoping that these individuals didn't come to approach her later. Though, if Sir Ortiz or Sir Crowley came, she would surely faint in happiness.

"Enzo… Zenon… Crowley?" Lynne mumbled to herself quietly. Something about those names seemed extremely familiar… but she couldn't pinpoint what exactly it was about those unusual names that rubbed her the wrong way.

"Say," Suddenly, an imaginary lightbulb lit up in Lynne's mind, "Does Zenon perhaps have Heterochromia?"

Her seat mate gasped at her comment. 'Miss Lynne is brainless enough to call Sir Crowley by his first name! And so familiarly too! She must have a death wish for both herself and her family' Of course, she couldn't voice her thoughts aloud and just nodded quietly.

*Bang*

Lynne slammed the table again with her hands as she abruptly stood up. Her seat mate jumped again at her sudden actions but quickly lowered her head, hoping that her jump didn't offend her in anyway. But Lynne couldn't care less.

At last! She's found the reason as to why her environment abruptly changed. As to why her appearance changed, why her name changed. All the pieces finally fit together.

'I've transmigrated!' Lynne didn't shout this out this time as she stood there with an ecstatic expression, 'To believe that scenarios that only occurred in some of the stories I've skimmed through happened to me too! How unbelievable!'

However, her smile started to slowly fade. She flopped down onto her seat, and her expression gradually changed from excitement to despair.

"Fuck! And it just had to be a book I've never read before."
