CHAPTER 7: Secrets 1

Early the next morning when everyone was still asleep in the lord's household, Raven immediately spring out of her room without waking her tired nanny and was heading to the dinning area. She quickly checked to see if everyone was around and when she saw no one, she reached into her night dress and pulled out a book from underneath it. But it was not just any normal book but was one of the books about the humans that her nanny had showed to her last night and with her lack of Patience's, she took one of the books and was now heading to the quietest place she could think of to read. Which is the dinning room.

As she got here. She sit down in one of seats to read, she noticed the title of the book which says 'manners and the proper ways to live like an elite' and began reading the context of the book. As she went on, each page of the book left her greatly surprised at how the humans chose to live their lives. Firstly she came to know that the humans mostly like to keep their bodies fully covered as she saw pictures of men and women wearing fully covered clothes, and what shocked her the most was that the where instructions about the clothes they should wear and that the women wear something that is called an 'undergarments' before they are to wear their outer clothe

"Why do they wear so many clothe?" Raven questioned, especially at the human women. Her questions on them only grew further as she compared the humans to her kind. Faixy mostly prefer to wear less covered clothes as it was a natural thing for them, their would only wear silky light textures of clothes and no one would even judge one another on how to wear theirs and the was no rules on how they are to dress, expect for being naked out in the open.

After pondering on the issue, she continued reading on. She discovered that the humans prefer to live in stone-like-buildings which got her very surprised and confused. Cause faixy usually prefer to build and live in natural places just like on high trees; just like the one her and her uncle live in, or caves like her father and opened field like some faixys she knows who enjoys the freedom. But it was really up to the faixy type of lifestyle and preference. Raven could happily say that the humans were fun creatures, still she could like to see them.

She was so engrossed in the book she was reading that she didn't even know that someone was behind her on still she felt a light tap on her shoulder.

[ELLESMERE KINGDOM]

Charles stared at the invitation card that was on his desks while tilting his rocking chair slightly as it moves back and forth. Nothing could be said about his expression but whenever his hazel eyes moves to the card, one word could be said 'anger' the strong hatred in his eyes where clear as day that he had to move his glazes from it or the will be trouble. On the card mark's the date 'july, 24th' that was the exact date of his mother's death anniversary, which should be remembered and mourned for but instead his father decided to throw a luxurious party for one of his numerous concubines, which everyone was to attend even him, an unfavored prince of the kingdom,' so declared the King'. what a load of rubbish! He thought as he threw the invitation card to the floor. He tried not to dwell on the situation but instead his mind went to the day that he went to the forbidden forest and saw a creature with red eyes. He wasn't sure of was he really saw but one thing was clear to he, it had beautiful pair of bright red eyes.

Raven ate her food very slowly but still had her eyes on Thomas, who stood facing her at the other side of the table. She was so nervous about who could have entered the dinning room so early in the morning and secretly hope it was not her uncle and luckily it was Thomas. She should have known that no one expect for this old man would be up this early, and now she sigh worriedly if he might had seen the book, not even the delicious fish that she was cutting true her on her plate could remove the frown from her face.

"Is the fish not to your taste?" Thomas suddenly said.

"What-No, No it's all right,"

"Then why the sore face? if I may ask,"

Raven thought it would be better to just come out with it and confirm if he has seen the book before the others comes down of breakfast and just as she was about to ask, someone entered.

"What a lovely morning," Announced James as he reached Thomas to give him a heavy pat on the back before he took noticed on the little girl. "Oh- miss Raven, why so up this early in the morning?" He said.

"Well... it's a secre," She replied with an uneasy smlie.

"Does it have to do with the book you where read before I entered?" Asked Thomas.

"So you had seen it," Murmured The girl as a wide smirk showed on her face as she tries to mask her worries, which she easily did in fooling others but when it comes to Thomas and Martha, it was always difficult in outsmart the two.

"Yes I did and if I may ask, what is the context of the book?" Questioned Thomas.

"What book?" Question another voice that just entered into the dinning room and it was not just any voice but the voice on her uncle.

"Damn it!" She cursed.
