Chapter 1-Moving in

Valerie's POV

It has been a month now since mum's death. I am healing but I don't think I can cope without my mum. I moved in with Granny yesterday and I have been helpful since then. She lives in an apartment given to her by the people she works with as their housekeeper. She has been working with the Park family for almost 35 years now. They are stinky  rich, owning the Park Foundation, the third richest enterprise in South Korea. Park Ji-Sang, the founder of Park Foundation, is a really nice man. He was the one who funded my mum's burial and also gave me a scholarship to study in his school, Park high school. He, together with his wife, Yoo Ri-ta has a son, Park Solomon, whom I have never met.

I am cleaning the kitchen floor when I hear a silent 'Hi' behind me. It sounds almost like a whisper. I freeze. I am about to turn around when I hear

     'Do you mind if I come into the kitchen? I want to get water. ' It took all the courage in me to turn around and when I did, I freeze again. I stare at the most blue eyes I have ever seen in my life. It is magical. Valerie, focus!!!

       'Sorry, of course you can. ' It almost comes out like a whisper. I drop the mop and hurry out of the kitchen. Thank God I am done cleaning by the way. I think he tried stopping me but I didn't pay attention. I must get away from the blue eyed boy!!!

Robin's POV

I have been playing basketball with my guys, Solomon and Michael, and I am so tired. I trudge into the kitchen just to see a black tall girl doing some cleaning. This must be Peggy's granddaughter Solomon told us about us about (when I say us, I mean Michael and I). I keep staring at her for almost five minutes because she has her back to me and I enjoy that liberty. Finally, I manage to say a crooked 'Hi' to her which comes out like a whisper. Damn! Why are my so nervous???

         'Do you mind if I come into the kitchen? I want to get water. ' It takes a while for her to turn around and when she did, I freeze or let's just say we both freeze. The chemistry is there when our eyes meet but she looks away quickly. It is not an understatement when I say she is the most beautiful black girl I have ever seen in my life. Not like I have seen a lot though, but this girl is breathtaking.

      'Sorry, of course you can' , she replies me shyly. She drops the mop and scurries out of the kitchen. I try stopping her and probably have a conversation with her but she is gone. Well, not for long, 'cos I am going to find her and definitely make friends with her (or maybe more😀😊)
