Shut Up!

As soon as Damian locked the door behind Seraphina, his glare sent shivers down her spine.

"Why on fucking Earth would you go and meet the queen? Why? When I... When I..." His words stumbled out, dripping with anger. His once captivating blue eyes had transformed into a menacing black. "When I clearly told you not to!" he yelled, his voice reverberating off the walls.

An unfamiliar sensation gripped her, long forgotten—fear. As she looked at him, she struggled to recognize the person before her.

"Y-your eyes..."

Damian's brow furrowed, intensifying his glare. "What?"

Seraphina found herself unable to utter a word, overwhelmed by his anger directed at her.

"What the fuck did you just say?" he demanded, his tone even more harsh.

Her eyes widened at his choice of words. He had always used endearing nicknames for her, but now... now everything seemed to have changed. He had become the very villain she remembered from the book, or at least how she imagined him.
