Chapter 5

"Finally! . . . . . after almost 3 and a half week, it's done. Now I can take the next step that is my first evolution."

First I have to visit Shiorra and tell her about the completion of my Synchronization and also the manifestation of my Case.

As I thought about it, many things happened during my practice. My case was developed and something unexpected happened at the same time.

'I guess it's time to meet Shiorra again but . . . . . I think I shouldn't tell her about the other thing.'

I swiped her card on my door and once again like last time I knocked her door and waited for a reply.

The door opened almost instantly and after seeing me on the door, she welcomed me inside her room.

Shiorra's POV.

The first reaction I had at the arrival of Rey was of pure shock. But with my experience in work and my higher strength I was quickly able to hide that from Rey and invited him inside.

According to the norms, the average time taken to complete the process of Synchronization is estimated to be around 1 to 1.5 month. But the speed of Rey was much faster, So much faster that he would rank in top 4 in our sects history.

' He will be definitely involved with those guys at this rate. '

After he settled down, my eyes caught the sight of an accessory hanging on his left ear. It was a cross shaped transparent earing. It was quite pretty and suited his black hair perfectly.

After a quick scan of his condition I said,

" Congratulations Kid, you almost broke the record for fastest synchro completion. Alright then, do you know what we are going to do now?"

Having a confident expression on his face he said,

"Is it preparation for my first evolution?"

"If you know that already then, follow me!"

Saying that I swiped my card on the door and lead Rey to the 'Evolution Pavilion Hall' which is outside the dorms. The place where we arrived was buzzing with all kinds of people, all of them having a nametag on their clothes indicating everyone as members of the sect.

It was the center of the city of Horan, where the Star Sect is situated.

"Rey, we are currently in the city center of Horan which is also the capital city of planet Dyres, one of our hidden colony. And the place we are heading to right now is called Evolution Pavilion Hall where the process of evolution for Vicers takes place. But to go there we have to visit another place"

To my words he simply nodded and continued with his own thoughts, which he was doing since we started moving.

Since the place we have to go is in the outskirts of the city. I started walking towards our destination which was a huge building with the name 'Space Gate Plaza' written on it.

After I entered I was greeted by a familiar person.

"Greetings Miss Shiorra, where do you want to go?" Helen, the receptionist asked politely.

"To the evolution pavilion for Mister Rey's first evolution" I replied.

We were taken to the gate connecting to the pavilion and a few moments later we were standing in front of a large complex structure.

I glanced briefly at Rey who was following behind me all this time without uttering a single word, he was definitely amazed from the scenery around us, afterall the city of Horan is the most technologically advanced among any other city.

'He is surprisingly very quite today. Well since he has to make his decision today so, he might be stressed about his future. . . . . . . Haaaah poor kid!'

I looked at him and said,

"Though I expected you to already know this but, you know you cannot leave this place once you complete the first evolution. After this you will be an official Vicer of Dreamer Stage. Have you made your decision between- being a sect member or go back to earth after first evolution."

I looked at him with a serious expression as it would basically decide his future.

"I want to become a sect member." He said with a resolute face as if he had already chosen his path for the future.

I smiled at his answer and said,

"Since it is a very important resource point, only the token holders for evolution hall can enter, which means you have to go in alone." I gave him a wooden token as I spoke.

"We will not be meeting each other anytime soon so, All the Best and good luck until we meet again." I gave him a huge hug as I said that and then watched him enter the pavilion.

I remembered the time when he asked me , Do I know him ? At that time, the only answer I gave him was that we used to work for the same company and we were good friends.

'I wish I could tell him more. . . . . . . '

Rey's POV.

After entering the pavilion, I looked at the token which was blinking in my hand. When I injected some Mana into the token, a flash of the pavilion's map came to my mind.

After walking through the map for 5 minutes I arrived in front of the counter.

There was an old man sitting in front of the desk. As I approached him he asked without letting me a single word,

"Before you talk, can I see your token and ID?"

I gave both the token and ID to the old man and he gave it back after checking it once and looked at me once again and said,

" Wait here for some time and I will call you later when it's your turn. " After saying this the old man disappeared suddenly from where he was standing.

[ He just used a space related skill which is quite rare here. Also that old man is one of the strongest Vicer on this planet ]

A voice that I got used to these days was once again heard in my mind.

' Thanks for the information. And by the way you still haven't spoken about the process for evolution. The only thing you keep telling me was that it will be different from the others. '

[. . . . . . . . You will know soon. Have some patience Rey! ]

[ And I am going to be quite now as there is little time left for evolution. ]

'And just like that he goes....'

The day my Case manifested, was the day I heard this voice for the first time. It is the voice of my Nitros. I found out that my nitros belongs to J-Rank which is very difficult to get. In the entire sect there were only 6 J-ranks before me. Since my nitros belongs to J-rank I named him Jerry.

After that day I started talking with Jerry on daily basis. He had a lot of information about vicers and nitros. He also taught me how to use Mana independently.

He always used to warn me not to reveal the fact that he can communicate with me and has his own thinking ability.

Because according to the book about Vicers, Nitros cannot communicate, they can only share there emotions.

So Jerry's existence was unique.

After almost an hour later the old man arrived at the same spot he left from. He then once again asked for my token.

After I gave him the token, a door appeared in front of me.

" You will have the room for exactly 50 days. Finish your evolution within that time, any more and you will be kicked out of the room. " The old man said with an emotionless face and gestured me to go inside.

I nodded and stepped inside the room.

Inside the room there was a huge tank filled with various fluids and there was a manual for using the tank on the table.

I read the whole manual thoroughly for the next 3 hours.

After taking a few hours of rest, It was finally time.

I removed all of my clothes leaving only my earing and jumped inside the tank.

My vision started to fade away -

'My first step , Here goes nothing!'

And my mind blanked out soon.
