Football Prodigy’s Second Chance

John was a football prodigy. He was in a trash football team when he was younger, and got them a 100% win record. He loved football, but one day his life shattered. He was going on a daily run when a car ran him over. From that day on, he was paralyzed and would never be able to walk again. He wallowed in depression, and had to stay in a white room for the rest of his life. It got better and he was able to get in a wheel chair, and he cried himself to sleep every night before he decided. No, he wouldn’t submit to this shit. Just because he can’t play football, doesn’t mean he can’t watch it, or coach it! He started to watch football games, watched every single nfl player. He then started to find their faults and send them messages on corrections, and exercises to fix their weak points. Many NFL players loved him, because he would help everybody out. They called him the Father of the nfl players, because he acted like a dad coaching his son to the players. The players would visit him and laugh with him. On his birthday, they brought him to a bar, and they drank away. Then one day, he was watching a highschool football game before he spotted somebody. It was the qb. The qb was on the losing team, but that was because of his team. He could tell the kid was made to be a qb. He had the talent, but didn’t have a team. He messaged this kid, and when the kid saw who texted him he screamed in surprise. He immediately had his parents drive him to the hospital and entered the room with his parents. “Kid, why do you play with that team?” “Uhh, my friends are on the team and I wanted to help them” “Friends? If they were real friends, they would want you to join a different team. You are a natural for the quarterback position. I’ll coach you kid, but leave that trashy team first” That was a life changing moment for that kid. He went on to dominate the NFL, and was known as the #1 QB. John was also known as the father of NFL, and one of the best coaches. It was often talked about what a monster would have came out if he wasn’t paralyzed. Some even joked if he didn’t get ran over, he would have destroyed the league. When John died, he died with no regrets, until he opened his eyes and realized, wait...I’m 10 years old?

The Present (5)

John was heading towards school alignment with Rex, as they rambled on about random things.

When they arrived at their classes, Rex headed inside while John went towards Averys class.

John walked into the class, and saw the room was empty other then Averys mother, the teacher. She was doing work on the desk, and looked up and seeing John made her frown.

John walked up to her with a smile, and set down a present on the desk.

"Hello Averys mother, I wanted to give you a present!" He then took out a paper bag "I made you some breakfast too, because I think teachers are unappreciated! Thank you for your hard work for us students!" John said, as he talked like he was leading a revolution.

The mother still looked indifferent, but the frown was replaced by a casual cold face. "Don't call me Averys mom. Just call me Ms Taneko."

John was excited that he had gotten Averys last name as well as the mother opening up to him, and nodded. "Of course, Ms Taneko! You have defiantly raised your daughter to be an amazing girl! Ok, I need to go! Bye!"

John quickly walked out of the door, leaving Ms Taneko there to open the present. It seemed she was hungry, as she first opened up the bag. Inside, she found a plate of scrambled egg, sausage, and rice. She also found a bag of fruits, a single apple, and a note that said "Have a good day! And tell Avery I said hi!"

She simply crumpled the note and threw it into the trash can, before opening the present. She gracefully folded it open unlike how most would rip it, and inside was a notebook, a book, and a beautiful framed picture of the sun setting.

She liked the present, because she always needed notebooks, the book was her favorite, and the picture of the sun setting would look good on her desk. She was confused at how John had even known this was her favorite book, but that thought went to the back of her mind. Little did she know, John had asked Avery about it in their little cave!

The rest of the school day went as normal, John not paying attention, and Rex on his phone playing video games. When school ended, they once again went in front of Averys class to wait.

A few minutes later, Lacey and Avery walked out alongside the mom. When the mom saw them, instead of saying to stay away she simply walked away.

"What the- did you do something?" Rex asked, confused the mom didn't say anything.

"I got her a present, if I want her to accept me having her daughter as my wife shouldn't I have the mom think of me as a good man?" John said, like a scholar teaching his student.

"Ah...you are truly wise!" Rex said, and jokingly bowed.

"Can we go?" Lacey said, impatiently as Avery blushed deeply.

"Eh? Did we say we were going to the cave? It seems somebody wants to go there!" Rex teased Lacey.

"Huh? Who said I want to go to the cave? Shut up." Lacey said, trying to act calm at how she had shown them she had anticipated going to the cave.
