Fog the Hedgehog

CHAPTER ONE

BLUE CHILD OF HOPE

"In an alternate future, there is a world destroyed by evil, the evil robot named Superior Metal Sonic. The world is now a desolate wasteland with no heroes but one. The son of Silver the Hedgehog, he is the cloaked traveler of the wastelands, hero of the people, Fog the Hedgehog."

A cloaked figure walks across a desolate desert, showing buildings buried in sand

The cloaked figure looks at one of the buildings and walks toward it

The cloaked figure unveils his robot arm and touches the building

CLOAKED FIGURE

"I see your past and your future."

The Cloaked Figure takes off his hood, showing the Fog the Hedgehog. A grey hedgehog with a scar over his right eye and wrapping around his snout to his left cheek

FOG

"You had a lively past. I'm sorry, but all I see in your future is dust."

A young bright blue hedgehog with a cloak walks toward Fog, tugging on his cloak

BLUE HEDGEHOG

"Hey Foggy, can we go now? This place is scary."

Fog takes his hand off the building and looks at the Blue Hedgehog with sad eyes

FOG

"Yes, we can Velocity. I'm sorry for taking so long."

Velocity smiles

VELOCITY

"It's okay!"

Fog takes Velocity's little hand and starts to continue to roam the desert

FOG MONOLOGUE

"The year is 2240, we live in a world covered in darkness. All that is left is a few colonies of humans, the destroyer of this world and its androids, and me. The only hope we have in this world is this little blue hedgehog."

A younger Fog runs into a lab with a gun in hand, ducking for cover

Fog looks out from cover and sees no one but a glowing blue test tube

Fog walks toward the test tube and sees a tiny blue baby hedgehog inside

Fog touches the glass of the test tube

Back the present, Fog walks with Velocity in the desert

FOG MONOLOGUE

"This world has a shadow watching over it. It's destroyer, named Superior Metal Sonic."

Superior Metal Sonic, a crimson robot hedgehog with bits of blue and yellow covering it's body, showing it's bright golden eyes sits on a throne with it's legion of androids. One mimicking every single one of the original Sonic's allies. There is one mimicking Shadow, Amy, Knuckles, Tails, and Silver

FOG MONOLOGUE

"My father died to that monster. Now all who is left to take care of this world is me and the last shining ray of hope for this world, Velocity.

FOG MONOLOGUE

"I didn't inherit my dad's psychokinesis but what I did gain is the power to see the past and future of everything I touch. I can't control it though. Sometimes I feel as if it's a curse rather than a gift. But every time I take the hand of this little blue hedgehog, I always feel hopeful."

In Fog's vision, he sees Velocity as an adult standing over the body of Superior Sonic, giving hope and inspiration to many people in the background. Then he sees a scene showing a teenage Velocity holding Fog's dead body in his arms

FOG MONOLOGUE

"I am meant to die protecting him."

Fog looks at Velocity

FOG MONOLOGUE CONT.

"We still don't know what his power is. But this kid is going to be the savior of this world and I am supposed to train him to the best of my ability."

Fog looks forward with a determined look

FOG MONOLOGUE

"That is my purpose in life and I am going to achieve it to the fullest."

SETTLEMENT

Fog and Velocity walks toward the entrance of a settlement that was created out of an old scrapyard

Fog walks toward the entrance, seeing the two guards standing under a sign that says "Deadlands"

When Fog and Velocity get to the entrance, Fog looks up at the sign

FOG

"That's an interesting name for a city."

A guard looks at Fog

DEADLANDS GUARD

"Wait, are you a?"

Fog looks at the Guard with a curious look

FOG

"Yeah, what of it?"

The Deadlands Guard steps back for a second

DEADLANDS GUARD

"Carry along."

Fog and Velocity walk through the gate, unveiling a rustic city surrounded by a metal wall, full of houses made out of leftover tin. With small crowds of people standing at every large building

Fog looks around and sees a sign that says "Benny's bar and food"

Fog and Velocity start to walk toward the bar

As Fog and Velocity walk toward the bar, the people standing at the buildings around them start to stare

Fog looks around at the people

FOG MONOLOGUE

"People now, are afraid Anthromorphs. There aren't many of us left anymore. The only close to Anthromorph-like thing they see are Superior Metal Sonic and his goons. Causing humans to look at us in fear."

Fog sighs

FOG

"What are you all looking at? Looking to start something?"

Most of the people then look away

A kid pushes through the crowd and looks at Velocity and Fog with awe

Velocity looks at the kid and smiles

The kid smiles back

Fog looks down at Velocity

Fog smiles

FOG

"You can go and play if you want to. Just be careful."

Velocity smiles and runs toward the boy

The boy and Velocity pair up and run through the crowd

Fog enters the bar

Fog sees that the bar is crowded with many kinds of folk

Fog walks toward the counter and sits down

Fog looks up at the bartender, a skinny black American individual

The bartender walks toward Fog and looks at him with an unsure look

FOG

"May I have Jack?"

The bartender pauses for a second. Then regains his bearing and turns around

The bartender opens a mini fridge and takes out a Jack Danial's whiskey

The bartender takes looks toward a stack of shot glasses and grabs one

The bartender places the glass on the counter and pours a shot of whiskey

The bartender slides the whiskey over to fog

The bartender turns around and places the whiskey bottle back in the mini-fridge

Fog picks up his drink with his robot arm and drinks his shot in one gulp

Bartender looks at Fog with an unsure look

BARTENDER

"That'll be three chips."

Fog moves his cloak off of his pouch and puts his hand in the pouch, rummaging through it

Fog takes out three red poker chips

Fog gives the poker chips to the Bartender

FOG MONOLOGUE

"After the world ended, a city of casinos became the capital. Because of that, poker chips became the new currency of this dead world."

BARTENDER

"T-Thank you."

Fog sighs

Fog looks at the bartender

FOG

"See, not all of us are bad."

The bartender sighs

FOG

"Hey, which direction is the capital, from here?

Velocity and the kid runs through the streets in zig-zag lines

Velocity and the kid bumps into each other and fall down

Velocity and kid bust out laughing

VELOCITY

"This is so much fun!"

Velocity looks at the kid

VELOCITY

"What's your name anyways?"

KID

"Name's William."

Velocity holds out his hand

VELOCITY

"Nice to meet you William, I'm Velocity!"

Kid shakes Velocity's hand

WILLIAM

That's a strange name.

Velocity and William let go of each other's hand

VELOCITY

"You think so?"

William stands up

William looks down at Velocity

WILLIAM

"Yeah, but it's still cool."

William holds out his hand, to help Velocity up

VELOCITY

"Thanks."

Velocity takes William's hand and William pulls Velocity up

William turns around

William looks back at Velocity

WILLIAM

"Follow me, I'm gonna show you my special place!"

Velocity looks at William and smiles

VELOCITY

"Okay!"

William starts to run down the street and Velocity follows

Fog sits in the bar on a barstool

FOG

"Thanks. I really appreciate it."

BARTENDER

"No problem."

Fog exits the bar and looks around

FOG

"Now where did that kid go?"

Velocity and William run into a barren, dark alleyway

William runs ahead of Velocity and runs to a switch

William flips the switch

WILLIAM

"Check this out!"

Pretty red and green Christmas lights turn on, illuminating the alleyway

Velocity looks up at the lights with amazement

VELOCITY

"That is so cool."

William turns toward Velocity

WILLIAM

"I know right! I found this place and it came with the lights. I thought they were so pretty!"

William scratches his head

WILLIAM

"I'm glad I'm not the only one."

William chuckles

MYSTERY VOICE

"Where do you think you're going kids?"

William and Velocity turns around looking at three big grizzled looking men. One with a beard, one with a face tattoo, and one which is bald

BEARDED GRIZZLED MAN

"You know kid, Anthromorph freaks like you arn't welcome around here."

BALD GRIZZLED MAN

"Yeah! What Ryan said."

William runs between the three men and Velocity

WILLIAM

"Guys, please leave him alone! He's a good friend."

FACE TATTED GRIZZLED MAN

"Oh no, it looks like the freak affected lil William's mind. Guess we should do something about that."

The Bearded Grizzled Man slaps William to the side, knocking him to the ground

William starts to cry

The Bald Grizzled Man looks at William

BALD GRIZZLED MAN

"What? Gonna cry you little punk. Where did all that toughness go?"

The three grizzled men then start to bust out laughing

Velocity clenches his fists

Velocity jumps in between the grizzled men and William

VELOCITY

"Please leave William alone!"

FACE TATTED GRIZZLED MAN

"Or what?"

Velocity starts to shake

VELOCITY

"Or I-I'll deal with you myself!"

The Bald Grizzled Man points at Velocity

BALD GRIZZLED MAN

"Look! He's shaking in his boots. What? You gonna wet yourself too?"

The Bald Grizzled Man starts to laugh even more

After a few moments the three grizzled men calm down

The Bearded Grizzled Man slaps his fist against his palm

BEARDED GRIZZLED MAN

"Now, time to deal with you."

The Bearded Grizzled Man takes one step forward

Then Fog comes jumping off of a building

Landing in between the kids and the three grizzled men

Fog looks back at the boys then back at the group of grizzled men

FOG

"So you guys go after little kids, huh?"

BALD GRIZZLED MAN

"Crap! Another one!"

FOG

"Now it's time for me to show you what real pain is like!"

Fog whips his body to the right then back to his stationary position. Causing his cloak to float to the side. Unveiling Fog's scarred body

FOG

"If you wanna fight. Let's fight!"

The Face Tatted Grizzled Man steps forward

FACE TATTED GRIZZLED MAN

"Fine, if you say so."

The Face Tatted Grizzled Man throws a punch at Fog

Fog uses his forearm to parry the strike

When the Face Tatted Grizzled Man touched Fog, Fog immediately saw his past and future

FOG

"Sad, I guess you don't change. Do you?"

FACE TATTED GRIZZLED MAN

"What?!"

Fog then over and the head of the Face Tatted Grizzled Man and kicks the man in the head, with enough force to knock him to the ground, knocking him out

Fog turns around and looks at the two other guys

Fog gets into a fighting stance

The Bearded Grizzled Man and the Bald Grizzled Man look at each other then back at Fog

They both decide to charge Fog

Fog breathes in then out

The Bald Grizzled Man tries to throw a punch at Fog

Fog dodges the punch and uses the momentum of the dodge to punch the Bearded Grizzled Man straight in the gut

Then Fog jumps up and kicks the Bearded Grizzled Man in the face, knocking him out cold

Fog looks at the Bald Grizzled Man

The Bald Grizzled Man looks around

BALD GRIZZLED MAN

"Crap! What am I going to do now?"

Fog looks at the Bald Grizzled Man

FOG

"Shut up and fight."

The Bald Grizzled Man then pulls out a knife

The Bald Grizzled Man lunges at Fog and tries to stab him in the chest

Fog blocks the strike with his metal arm, breaking the blade of the knife

In a split second Fog roundhouse kicks The Bald Grizzled Man so hard, it knocked him into the wall causing a loud "CRASH!!" Knocking him out immediately

Fog walks towards the two kids, as they both look at Fog with awe

Fog looks at Velocity

FOG

"You okay kid?"

Velocity looks up at Fog

VELOCITY

"Yeah."

Velocity looks back at William

VELOCITY

"But William's hurt."

Velocity then faces back toward Fog

Velocity clenches his fists to the point to where he's shaking

VELOCITY

"A-And I couldn't even do a thing about it."

A tear flows down Velocity's face

VELOCITY CONT.

"I-I was just so s-scared."

Fog sighs

Fog kneels down in front of Velocity

FOG

"It's okay to be scared Velocity. That is just what happens. It's natural to everyone. What matters is that you overcame that fear and stood up to those butt wipes."

Fog points at Velocity's chest

FOG

"You have a good heart Velocity, don't ever lose that."

William walks up next to Velocity

WILLIAM

"And I'm okay too!"

William looks at Fog

WILLIAM

"You must be Foggy. You're just as cool as Velocity says you are!"

Velocity smiles

Velocity looks at Fog

VELOCITY

"Hell yeah he is!"

Fog scratches his head out of embarrassment

FOG

"If you say so."

Fog, Velocity, and William exits the alleyway

Fog looks around and sees people staring at them

Fog looks down at Velocity

FOG

"Velocity, we better leave."

Velocity looks up at Fog

VELOCITY

"What? Why?"

Fog nods his head toward the crowd staring

Velocity then realizes what Fog was talking about and hangs his head because of it

VELOCITY

"If you say so."

Velocity looks back up at Fog

VELOCITY

"Can we stay for at least a few more minutes though?"

Fog sighs

FOG

"Okay, but only a few more minutes."

30 minutes, Fog and Velocity stand on the road out of town

Fog and Velocity look back at William

Fog looks down at Velocity

FOG

"We better get going."

Velocity nods

Fog puts on his hood

WILLIAM YELLING

"Goodbye Velocity, I hope we get to play again someday!"

Velocity turns around and sees William waving, standing with his mom and dad

WILLIAM YELLING CONT.

"And thank you Foggy for saving us!"

Velocity look then looks up at Fog

Fog looks down at Velocity and smiles

FOG

Don't worry, we'll see them again. I'm sure of it.

END
