The Filler...

(AN: Small filler chapter, just because I'm the author and I said so. Plus I'm writing down some future plans with the animals. I'm also sick. So if you have a complaint, then just go read another novel. Jokes, jokes. Please don't leaf me! hehe, serious note, the chapters will go back to normal soon, but for now, they'll be short as I have to revise a lot for more tests, which I thought were over, urrrr. And they'll be a bit longer once I'm cured. Hope you enjoy ( ͡~ ͜ʖ ͡°) )

After Yokoji managed to safely unlock Nagato's chakra network without interfering. They realised that the time was too late to be able to continue and train.

"Alright then, since it's already this dark we should all head to bed. Nagato, we don't really have a spare room so you'll have to sleep on the sofa in here...sorry..." Yokoji said, in a bit of embarrassment.

You see, Yokoji was always brought up by his parents to be a proper man. Although that failed miserably and he turned into an Otaku (AN: which in my opinion is a real man), he still had some form of basic etiquette.

This meant that him making it so that a guest he invited to live round had to sleep in poor conditions made Yokoji feel like his past body is rolling around in its grave.

*He shudders*...*shudder* *shudder*

"No, no, it's fine. At least it's better than sleeping out there. But what about Konan? I'll sleep on the floor and she can have the sofa instead..." Nagato said while fidgeting. The main reason for this show of companionship, other than being pleasant. Was due to Nagato's newfound love for Konan.

This was obviously bound to end miserably for him, just like in canon. The main reason for this was due to two reasons. 1) Konan absolutely hates other men. And although it will diminish in the future for Nagato. She will still hold a deep disdain of him within her heart.

And 2) If Yokoji ever finds out about Nagato's love for Konan. He will immediately try and shut it down.

"Ah, sorry Nagato. I forgot to say but me and Konan sleep together. And we have for the past few years. So no need to worry about Konan, I'll take good care of her." Yokoji said with a beaming smile on his face. (AN: WRECKKKKKKKEDD)

Case and point.

Nagato then left to go towards the sofa, feeling depressed. And although his feelings for Konan have been somewhat diminished, his flame of love for her is still lit. 'I will find a way to be with her, just wait!!!'

(AN: btw, this does not mean Nagato will try and kill Yokoji or stuff, he will just try and compete for Konan. Sort of like the second male lead. He will never get her, his hopes will be crushed by her. And he's a SIMMMMMMPPPPP!!!)

While these thoughts ran through Nagato's mind, other thoughts were also going through Yokoji's. 'You dare try and steal my Konan away from me. With our bonds, it will never happen. If you keep trying I'll just take your eyes and leave you on the street like the rat you are!'

Killing intent spread out from the both of them.

Obviously, Konan being the smart 10-year old that she is. Slightly hid her face under her hand while thinking of what Yokoji just said. 'He said he'll take good care of me. OOOOO, I wonder if he's going to propose to me. No, wait what if he does it to me tonight. While there's someone else in the next room. UwU!!!!!'

Now, although nothing else was said for the rest of the night. Yokoji felt Konan's emotions knowing that he won that encounter. Whereas, Nagato, who saw her hiding her face. Though he still had a chance, due to her reaction. Thinking she was embarrassed at having two guys after her.

Clearly, Konan never even put Nagato into her eyes in the first place. And whenever he caught her eye by 'accident' she just gave him a death glare.

Nagato, for some secondary male lead reason, thought it was due to her spacing out at his look. Swiftly brushed his hair back. Trying to make himself look good in front of her. He leaned back against a nearby stool. Slightly raising his leg to look cool, jutting out his knee a bit. He just looked at her again. Once again sweeping his hair.

"Wus up?"

Now, just use your imagination for a sec. A TEN-year-old child just did that. A TEN-year-old child with short dirty red-hair styled like an emo.

Suffice to say. Konan was already looking back at Yokoji. Wondering how long until they go back into bed...

Meanwhile, Yokoji, looking at Nagato for that whole 'interaction', if you can call it that. Almost burst out laughing on the floor. His eyes were literally shedding tears down his bright red face.

Nagato, put down by Konan's reaction, didn't see Yokoji, as he was moping in self-pity. While Konan was just plain confused at that action. Of course, over the years she has mostly learned about Yokoji's behavior. And she would have found Nagato's action hilarious as well. Yet, she wasn't paying attention so she missed it.

Finally, sorting Nagato's bed out, Konan and Yokoji left into their bedroom, under the jealous gaze of the extra.

Yokoji closed the door behind him. Making sure to lock it, so a certain creep doesn't enter.

He slowly got ready to get undressed, only to find Konan, who had already gotten out of her clothing standing in front of him.

'SHIPS AHOY!!!'

A tent rose up in his shorts. Not evading the sight of the naked Konan. Who's only form of clothing could be considered the flower resting in her hair.

"Oooooh, isn't that the thing all those guys had? Why is it raising though? It never did that before?"

Yokoji became nervous, however, fortunately, over yonder, he saw a temporary escape.

'I choose you Cliff-Kun!!!!'

And so the chapter came to an end. Making the author nervous for having to maybe right a semi-lemon tomorrow.

(AN: Ok, so I'm not sure how many of you will be mad about this short chapter. And really, really goofy writing. However, I'm extremely tired and am forcing myself to write this. Some more of these chapters may come out in the future if I feel I need a break. And put in the comments, if you want the next chapter to be semi-lemon or not. I don't mind.
