Ready for War!

Jiraiya knocked on the door asking "You really live here, Naruto?" Naruto nodded saying "Yep! I live here with Sasuke, Ryu, and Anko!" Jiraiya sighed and walked inside, saying "Hello? Ryu-kun?"

Ryu was writing as he said "Jiraiya." Jiraiya sat down and Naruto bit his finger, squinting before snapping his fingers and running into his room.

He came back with three cups of ramen, shouting "Here you go!"

Ryu paused and looked over, smiling at Naruto.

Naruto smiled at him and jerked his head at Jiraiya, staring at Ryu with a pleading expression.

Ryu sighed and smiled gently, sitting at the table and slurping on ramen as he looked at Jiraiya with a Naruto squint. Jiraiya looked at Ryu and Naruto making the same face at him, his lips twitched and he grabbed the cup of ramen…

A few minutes later

Ryu, Jiraiya, and Naruto were making the same expression as they slurped on Ramen.

Jiraiya suddenly said "I'm leaving with Naruto to find Tsunade." Ryu didn't change expression, saying "Oh." Jiraiya added, "I'm also teaching him Rasengan."

Ryu replied "Oh."

Jiraiya suddenly said "You're going to be acting Hokage while I'm gone."

Ryu froze and Naruto said "Oh." Ryu smacked the back of his head and shouted "This was your idea, right?! To get me out of the house, you came up with such a scheme, right?! It's always been you, right?!"

Naruto: ????

Jiraiya coughed on his ramen and shouted "It was MY idea!" Ryu turned to him and pointed with a trembling finger, unable to speak!

Jiraiya's face was black as he said "It was voted on and you won. Congratulations. At least, it won't be forever. When Tsunade comes back, you'll be back to normal."

Ryu almost coughed up blood, shouting "Who!? Who voted for me! Tell me, I'll rip their heads off!" Jiraiya sneered at him, replying "The Yamanaka clan, Akimichi clan, Nara clan, Hyuga clan, Guy, Kakashi, most of the Jonin, and… Me."

Ryu's eyes widened, staring at Jiraiya with bewilderment.

Jiraiya sighed and said seriously "I failed Minato several times. Teacher also failed the entire village, letting so many terrible things happen under his nose. While avoiding war he was crushing the village with his own hands. You revealed everything to the village just to clean him from the village along with Danzo and the Root."

He paused before continuing while pursing his lips, "Not for anything but to get him out of Konoha. You don't want to be Hokage, but just want the betterment of the village. Seeing as to how you selflessly spread your self-created techniques to the village and punished the criminal who selfishly kept them all for himself. You also took on all the hatred to yourself, damning yourself in the eyes of the public."

Ryu was dumbfounded and Jiraiya added with a funny look, "All this is indications that you could be a good Hokage." Ryu finally spit out "The Human Brain is something else! I did everything for revenge!"

Jiraiya nearly spit out blood as he said angrily "Don't go telling people that! You know how long it took for me to make up such an excuse?! 2 days and nights! 2!"

Ryu was completely speechless, pointing a trembling finger at Jiraiya's nose, finally saying after a whole minute, "You're fucking good!" as he gave Jiraiya a big thumbs up.

Jiraiya blushed and Ryu relaxed, saying with a devil's grin, "I won't do it." Jiraiya was dumbfounded and Naruto stopped him saying "Dad… You're the only one for this because you're such a genius."

Ryu refused "Are you kidding? What a joke! You make it sound like I'm the best."

Naruto said "wYou're the best person for this job! You're the best!"

Ryu refused again, "I'm not even that great."

Naruto said again, "You're the greatest!"

Ryu refused, "Impossible!"

Naruto sighed, "I guess we should find someone else…"

Ryu shouted "I'll do it since I'm so great and perfect for this job!"

Jiraiya was dumbfounded and clapped quickly "So that's that! Alright! See ya!" as he grabbed Naruto and left quickly, afraid Ryu would refuse again…

Ryu rubbed his chin and muttered "Hokage, eh?" Then his eyes flashed, "Can you take down faces from Hokage rock?"

The next day

Ryu was standing on a platform in front of the public, his lips twitched and he said "Erm… Hello." everyone looked up at him and Kakashi sighed, muttering "Maybe we should've picked someone else…"

The people were looking at Ryu who waved and cleared his throat, his momentum rose to his peak as he shouted "I'm only a Temporary Hokage! Don't worship me although I'm so great and handsome!"

Everyone's lips were twitching…

Ryu continued with a serious face, "In the recent attack from the Sand Village, although Orochimaru was responsible, the Sand Village is inextricably tied to the assault which unfortunately exterminated the Sarutobi, Shimura, and two elders' clans. Truly regrettable!"

If they pass the exam then they can apply for the Chunin course which is 3 years, avoiding the Chunin Exams by graduating!"

Everyone felt their brains buzz and Ryu continued "The course content will not only consist of the Three Body Arts but also more advanced Ninjutsu and specialized courses, like Medical Ninja courses, Perception Ninja courses, etc."

He cleared his throat and added, "In addition! Every Child will be required to choose a Breathing Technique upon enrollment which will be tested for Total Concentration Breathing upon Genin Graduation! Along with Blood Surging Art which will be a course taught by myself."

He paused and thought about it silently before saying "That's it for now. Konoha will introduce great changes, I hope you can all grow with the Village and come to love it as much as I do!" Then he paused again, adding with a sneer "For all the spies in the audience…"

He chuckled and released his pressure, "Go back and tell your villages that if they want war, Konoha will accompany them! The Village Hidden in the Sand Ninja… Go tell that old hag if she doesn't bring compensation, I will make the 5 great ninja villages the 4 Great Ninja villages!"

Kakashi and the rest of the Jonin froze.

Everyone else stiffened and turned sluggish.

Ryu waved a fist and roared "My Konoha will not sacrifice its people for a fake peace! My Konoha will not back down like beaten dogs! My Konoha will not be bullied by the pressure of war! If you want war, then come!"

Ryu exploded into flames and growled "We will accompany your suicidal desires!"

The spies in the crowd started sweating as they escaped at lightning speed.

Ryu said to the Jonin, "Don't stop them! This is our Konoha's position! I will not shirk from war! The key point is… Do they even dare? That clown Hiruzen sent his own people to the gallows for peace, what a joke!"

He sneered and turned off his Mangekyou before turning around, saying "See Ya~!"

Sasuke's eyes shone as he shouted "Cool!"

Everyone looked at him and he made a straight face, looking around, muttering "Who said that?" all their lips twitched but everyone had to agree!

Their blood was boiling!
