CHAPTER ONE
"Believe me,i have nothing to do with him. He's just a friend and nothing else"Li Yanshu said clarifying the matter on ground.
However,Mu Zhen eyes darkened at her words, with his hands on the chair arm rest. He continuously tapped on the arm rest,so apart from Li Yanshu ragged breathing,his taps were also heard.
Seeing how quiet he was,her heart drummed beneath her chest in nervousness and her palm got sweaty real fast.
"Li Yanshu!"he yelled.
The way he pronounced her name made her have goosebumps, she couldn't bare to look at his face scared that his stare may burn her to death.
"Y...yes"she stuttered in fear.
"How dare you betray me for him?, you're nothing compared to the girls that bowed at my feet but yet you had the effrontery to betray me"he was slowly losing his cool.
He hates the way she doesn't dare look him in the eyes,he hates the way she acts like she was the victim while he was the antagonist.
"Look me in the eyes!"his voice sounded in the empty room,slowly but carefully,she raised her tiny head up and her eyes to meet his stare.
Her beautiful features was visible in his eyes,she had the most enchanting pair of black eyes,small pink lips and large eyes accentuating the feminine features she possess.
Her eyelashes were moist and a drop of tear still resides on a strand,she blinked continuously at Mu Zhen who gulped.
What does this woman think she's doing,he thinks glaring at her.
Just as she was about to speak,the door to their room flung open and a beautiful blonde-haired girl walked in,she held her handbag in one hand as she walked with grace and royalty.
Mu Zhen frowned at the obstruction caused by her,Li Yanshu eyes lit up when she was the woman.
"Ah Zhen,what are you doing to Shushu,see how thin and pale she looks like. Grandmother won't be too happy if she sees her like this"Wei Ye clicked her tongue when she finished talking.
Li Yanshu smiled gratefully at Wei Ye,Mu Zhen brows furrowed"Wei Ye,you don't have to be so nice to her,she has done a lot of terrible things and today i won't let her off".
Li Yanshu bit her lips when she heard him,she looked at Wei Ye begging her to help her,she was the one who got her in this mess afterall.
Wei Ye,Li Yanshu and Ya Shi were supposed to meet at a club but Wei Ye suddenly bailed on them leaving only Li Yanshu and Ya Shi alone,Li Yanshu unknowingly got drunk so Ya Shi helped her to the car.
Who would have thought that Ya Shi had taken her to an hotel,she was too drunk to remember all that happened after that but she vividly remember when Mu Zhen burst down the room door in a fit of rage and held her in his hands,then head downstairs.
It was really a misunderstanding.
Admist her thinking,Mu Zhen threw a bulky file at her, intrigued,Li Yanshu picked it up and immediately she read the title,the file fell from her hands which was uncontrollably shaking.
She blinked staring at Mu Zhen"Di... divorce"she stammered with dilated pupils.
Mu Zhen face was stoic as he responded"Sign it and disappear from my life. I wouldn't want a wife that disgraces me about"he said coldly standing up making her heart leap in fear.
Wei Ye was quiet as she stared at the couple that was about to separate"Ah Zhen,why don't you resolve this amicably. Ya Shi was known as a man whore back in the days so it may not be her fault she ended up in the room with him".
Mu Zhen paused in his steps with a growl"Li Yanshu,i don't want to see you here in the next two hours,pack your bags and leave this city"he then left with a loud slam of the door.
"Wei Ye, you've got to help me. I really didn't do anything with Ya Shi,you do believe me right?"Li Yanshu said holding onto Wei Ye arm in a pleading way.
"Li Yanshu, you've always gotten everything since elementary school. The prettiest face,the belle of the school,the awards and honors,the boys and even my parents love but not Mu Zhen. I've loved him since i was nine but he married you, I've pleased him in so many ways you can't ever do but what do i get in return,a stab in the back. I'll send five million yuan to your account,sign the papers and leave the city. Don't ever return and show your face in front of him again"Wei Ye then shook her arm away from Li Yanshu hold.
"You're not good enough for him,leave him and let me enter. I'll make him forget he ever had a wife named Li Yanshu"She said apathetically,she still had that unrefutable aura around her.
Done with what she wanted to say,she showed an innocent smile and said"You'll always be my best friend,love you"she left.
Li Yanshu was stuck to the ground,she felt numb in her heart. Her hand travelled to her stomach,she closed her eyes tight refusing to cry.
She carried the divorce paper and with a deep breath,she signed the paper and left it on the floor.
That was it!
She was single.
