Many things are actually just separated by a layer of "window paper"; those in the know might not say anything, and outsiders may guess that there's something magical about it. But once the "window paper" is punctured, there isn't much to learn anymore.
Take baits like Yellow Powder and Yellow Storm, for instance. Neither the production process nor the technical procedures, nor even the additives like attractants, involve any high-end technical barriers. Any bait manufacturer with a decent level of technical capability can produce them.
That such ordinary products can stir up quite a stir in the fishing gear community just shows how deformed the development of this industry really is.
"Wow, according to the host, Yellow Powder and Yellow Storm aren't really that amazing, huh! But they are really expensive! A pack costs twenty to thirty bucks!"
"Yellow Storm has been banned in many of our local pits. It seems that the owners are saying the fish die after eating it!"
