FIRE & BLOOD

"You can't let her live, she can create more hybrids." Silas nods at him "I know."Silas answered, and I flinched. My entire body recoiled. His Jaw tightened. Hands trembling, I scuttled backwards for the door, unable to look away from the glaze of hurt on his face. "I'm sorry," I whisper and I wasn't sure why I was even apologising. I turned around, blindly staggering out the door into the cold. Picking up my foot, I started running. Running as fast as my feet could take me. He wanted to kill me, a ragged sob left me. Running further into the trees, everything that happened between us was forgotten....... There was no warning, no sound, nothing. The burn travelled all the way through my body, this was a different feeling from him feeding. I couldn't move, I was paralysed in his arm. I felt warm liquid entering my body, I shook as it mixed with my blood. I could feel him in my entire system, everything changed. Chapter 2

When I walk into the cottage, I see the bloody leg of a deer by the fire. "Father?" I called into the cottage. "In here," his deep scratching voice calls out. He was sitting by the fire, staring into the flame.

"I will start in dinner right away, Rose was giving birth," I say coming up behind him. I knew he was tired from the hunt.

"We only found five deer today," he says tiredly

"Something is killing them or hunting them,"

"I'm sure you will find an explanation soon father," I rub his back. "Shall I draw you a bath?"

"No need dear," I smile softly. I was thankful for him, he gave me everything I have ever needed. A home, bed and food. In return, I dry my best to take care of him. He's getting older by the years after he lost his mate to a demon attack before the ruling. The ruling was when King Silas and his soldiers won the Great War between the three beings. After that peace was found and a treaty was formed. In exchange for their lives, the clans of the witches and demons will live under King Silas rules. No bloodshed amongst the three beings, the punishment is death. Removing my cloak I start on the fire, picking up the carrot I dropped when Deya came in. I would have to start on the cake tonight, so it can be ready by tomorrow. I will stop on Rose on my way to the market. I need to ship the stock before the ship leaves or we won't have any money for winter. I started humming once more, I wasn't sure where I heard that song. It was always in my head as if it came with me. I've always wanted to know what happened to my people maybe my mother sang it to me as a babe, it wasn't in any of the history books. And the elders forbid people to speak of it.

My hands run through thick black hair, blue eyes gazing down at me. I could smell the fur of a fox around me, I was warm. The fire crackly behind this strangers face. Glancing back at the strange icy blue eyes, a coat for hair around the face. The strange gazes down at me, I could feel the heat from his palm on my face. Pushing the mess of curly hair away from his face so I could get a better look at this strange man. His jaw was strong and his lips a warm shade of pink. I gasp when I felt his finger on my lips, it felt so real. Not hesitating his lips fell on mine, an unnatural sound left my lips. His lips move against mine in rush, not knowing what to do or what came over me I moved my lips against his. My hand yank on his hair when he moved down to my neck. The strange sound leaves my mouth again, his lips leave tingles on my skin as he moves lower. Closing my eyes not knowing what came over me. A squeal left my lips when his tongue graze my nipple. I look down at the blue eyes, he meets my eyes before taking my nipple in my warm mouth. My head falls back, I could feel his teeth scraping my soft skin. A deep growl fills the room making my lady part ache.

"Please," I beg, overcome by the need to release my pain.

"Mine." I shiver when he spoke, I felt the need to please him and give him whatever he wanted. "Yes," I agree "I'm yours," I rub myself against him. My words make him snap, I watch his blue eyes turn pure black. His teeth grow longer, long nails digging into my hips. Moaning in pain, I rub against harder not used to this time of feeling. When he bites down on my chest hard enough to draw blood, something inside me sets on fire. I felt it in my blood, it was hot as a flame. My body engorged in flames making me scream in anguish. I shut my eyes, trying to control the pain but it only grew. I could still feel his teeth inside me as he feeds from me. The pain overcomes my senses, taking over my mind. Using the little strength I had, I shove hard against his chest and he files a few feet away from me. Breathing hard, I could feel the blood flowing out. I gape at him, he watches eyes still black and fangs out. My eyes fall to his naked chest, a red handprint there imprinted into his skin. Looking down at my hands, I did that to him. I burnt him. Noticing the mark on his chest, his eyes were back to blue.

"What are you?" he whispers voice hoarse,

"I'm sorry, please forgive me." I started begging not knowing what was happening to me. I shut my eye wishing to be anywhere but here, when I open them I was surrounded by darkness. I sat up, breathing hard. I was back in my room, it was just a dream. Wiping the sweat from my face, I uncover myself quickly pulling on the nightdress I took off due to the heat. Walking over to my window, the moon high letting me know there was a couple of hours before dawn. Why did I have that dream, I was still flushed from it. And who was that man? Was he just a fragment of my imagination?

Silas pov

I wake up gasping, glancing at my surroundings. I was in my tent. Clutching my heart in pain, I fall to my knees. I could hear my heart beating as if someone was squeezing it. I hear metal rubbing together, I look up and see my king-guard, Jon, watching me with worry and one hand on his sword.

"My king?" He comes to his knees, helping me up.

"What happened?" Jon asks. When I stand, I'm towering over him. With my Lycan blood, I stood at almost seven feet, I wasn't a normal shifter. Lucan's are far more powerful and ten times bigger. Because we were made from demons and werewolves blood we have different needs. Our demon side requires blood to survive, my werewolf part requires meat, lots of it. We were made by a clan of powerful witches that are all dead, they made us fight their wars against the humans. After we won the war, the Lycan turned against the witches. We all died out fighting them, I was the last of us.

"You had that dream again?" Jon questions making me shake my head, this wasn't the moon goddess warning me about something coming. I close my eyes remembering the girl in my dreams. She was vastly different from the women of his homeland. Her hair was the color of the sand, her eyes the color of the storm. I exhaled harshly. No matter how his fingers and lips ached for her, she wasn't real. I've my fair share of women, werewolves, witches and demons. But I've never felt that much pleasure before and just from a kiss. She wasn't real, can't be real. But it felt so real, I could still feel her warm body in my hands.

"How long till we get to the next town," I was tired of sleeping in a makeshift bed. Pouring a glass of wine, I down it in a go.

"Two nights or more," Jon says. We have been on the road for a month, looking for something. Not knowing what I was looking for made it twice as hard.

"Good, I need a bath." I could smell myself from miles away.

"That's will be the last village before we head home," Jon says "what if we don't find what you looking for."

"I'm not sure," I frown. Maybe I've lost my mind after all the years and just going crazy. Maybe there is nothing for me to find.

"Your grace?" Jon says alarm as he stares at me.

"Your chest." He points in horror.
