The Foolish Request!

Noah's POV :

Finally it was the weekend! I was extremely excited & nervous for our first date! Even I was unsure of her coming to the festival but still a part of my heart was hoping badly for her.

I prepared a black traditional "Hanbok" dress for myself as I wanted everything to fit in perfectly on our date! While I was dressing up someone knocked the door. I turned behind & it was my mom. She was smiling brightly at me.

"My little prince is wearing a hanbok today!", mom said happily while helping me with wearing it properly.

I blushed a bit, "yes mom! I am very happy today!"

"Is it a date?", she smirked at me.

"Well yeah! Kind of! Though I am still unsure the about flower princess's mood!", I replied.

"So finally you have managed to break her ice-walls! That's great Noah!", she patted my head softly.

I was feeling very confident with the praise & I hugged her gently, "if you hadn't made me aware of her emotions that day, I still would have been misunderstanding her like everyone else! But now as I got to know her a bit, she is just a rude person from outside! But her heart is really honest & gentle! Her name is Luna", I was talking about her continuously with a big smile on my face.

"Noah! Always stay beside her & never hurt her okay!", she told me politely.

"Always mom! I am gonna be her side always!", I promised her.

It was around 6 pm. I was waiting for her on the decorated festival ground near the Han river. But the area was highly crowded, I knew Luna dislike crowded places, so I was a bit tensed of facing her upcoming rage...

"Mr. Han Noah!", I heard a voice & looked back.

Luna was standing there with a small smile. She was wearing a red traditional hanbok too! With her silky black hair tied with a fancy hairpin & a little makeup she looked like a majestic creation of God! My heart was about to burst out of my chest in excitement!

"Wow!", I said unknowingly.

"Huh? Why are you starting at me like a fangirl?", she asked me with curiosity.

I felt ashamed of expressing such a weird reaction in front of her.

"Um, no! I just thought that how can a girl with such rude attitude can look so good in this traditional clothes!", I tried to make up an excuse.

"Well Mr. Han your excuses are too awful you know!", she slowly walked towards me.

I was completely lost in admiring her beauty.

She was looking at the people around, "Gosh! So many people! You knew I don't like crowded places right? Then why did we come here?", she sounded very annoyed while looking at me.

I regained back my senses. "Sorry! But festival grounds are always crowded. So when we are here let's enjoy our date!", I blurted out.

"Date??", she gave a weird cold shoulder expression.

"I -I mean ha-hangout!", I replied nervously.

There were more than 50 shops in the ground. All were selling different fancy & household items. It was more like a commoner's festival ground compared to the rich household we both belong from! But I was enjoying every bit of it. At first Luna was a bit panicked in the crowd, but soon she adjusted to it.

I was constantly stealing glances at her while walking. It's the first time we were walking next to each other! Everything felt like a beautiful dream!

Soon it was time for the fireworks! Both of us went to watch it by the side of the river, I looked at her and her eyes were gleaming with joy.

"It's- it's my first time to watch fireworks in a festival", she looked like a happy child staring at the sky.

"And it's my first time I invited someone to watch fireworks with me!", I answered while gazing at her.

Boooommm!! Whoooshhh!!

The fireworks started. For the first time I saw Luna smiling while clapping with her hands. She looked like a beautiful happy princess rather than the pitiful ice - princess.

"Look! They are so beautiful!", Luna exclaimed her happiness while pointing at the fireworks.

"You are the most beautiful one here Luna!", I answered.

She looked at me after hearing it. Her eyes had a dense expression.

"Luna, I gladly admit that I have fallen in love with you! Will you date me?"

I don't know how I got the sudden encouragement but I asked her very boldly like a man.

She was staring at me with those dense eyes, but somehow her face darkened. As if a terrible memory popped up in her mind after hearing my confession.

"No!", she answered me.

Although I had expected that answer! I knew she despise love but I wanted to reduce the burden of my heart with a bold confession.

"Then let's date contractually!", I came up with an idea.

"Are you a freaking dumbhead?", she gave me a disgusted look.

"Look Luna! I know how much you hate other people approaching you! So if you let me stay by your side I can protect you from all nuisances! Which means no one will approach you further and no one will disturb your peaceful time!", I was desperately trying to let me by her side.

"You are disturbing my life Mr. Han! You are like an annoying cockroach!", she was sulking while complaining.

"Luna! It will be a contractual dating! You don't need to love me! Just whenever I will address you as my girlfriend in front of people, don't deny it! And in return no one will further approach you! Let me stay by your side in our remaining highschool life!"

"And why are you making a fool of yourself with this contractual dating? Don't you be sad when we will part our ways after 6 months? Why do you want to torture yourself?", she sounded very curious & disturbed.

"Atleast for 6 months I will live every moment as a dream! It's my first time I have fallen for someone badly, so I am deliberately trying to stay with her!", I was staring at the sky with a pair of sad eyes.

She looked very surprised with my explanation. After a deep sigh she replied-

"only if you agree never to go overboard with me & don't expect anything from me! In return, you should assure that no one further disturbs me in the remaining 6 months!"

"So from today, we are dating contractually right?", I asked her politely.

She awkwardly nodded her head....

I knew it was a foolish request, in the end only I will be the one to be left-behind, but atleast till my high school life- I just wanted to be the closest one to her! I just wanted to keep her only for me! It was a selfish request from a hopeless lover!

Even if it lasts for only six months!

I wanted to experience this beautiful dream!

Not everyone can fall in love even after knowing the inevitable consequences.....
