Chapter 3 - Humans

A few months later,

Ye Feng gazed at the moon high in the sky, before looking at the interface in front of him, he was currently looking at the Luck tab, the bar had increased but it was at only 10%. He then switched to the Relation tab which was exactly the same as before without any changes.

He sighed and closed the interface, he thought of how to increase how fast he obtained Luck, in those few months, he only had 10% of advancement, and, since it would get harder and harder, he would probably be unable to reach the next level before the 5 Years of protection ended.

Currently, he found out that Luck could be collected in his everyday life, Luck would be directly oozing from people around him, yet, even when he collected everything, it didn't amount to much and it didn't even result in a loss of luck so it couldn't be used to cause troubles to his enemies.

While he was lying on a tree branch, gazing at the starry sky, his calm was disturbed by someone calling him in the Furbun language, a rather easy to learn language as he had already mastered and even every of Ye Feng's siblings had mastered it,

"Ye Feng, Mom is calling us, food is ready!"

A chubby little Furbun appeared, it was one of the 13 siblings Ye Feng had, Xiao Qiu [Small Ball], his name was rather simple, almost looking like the name one would give to their pet, yet, for the Furbuns, those kinds of names were rather commons, they would name their offsprings based on how they looked, as for Ye Feng, he asked his mom to be called like that and the reason he gave was 'that he liked that name', he obviously couldn't say that this was the name he had in his previous life after all.

Ye Feng didn't hesitate and directly hopped unto the ground and followed Xiao Qiu after hearing that food was ready, although he hadn't eaten meat in a long time, he felt that the plants he was eating were even more delicious so he couldn't help but drool, wondering what meat would taste like in this world.

While they were hopping through the dense forest, Ye Feng noticed a flower that was different from others, it was translucent and looked like crystal, Ye Feng hopped toward it and smelled it, the smell made him want to eat the flower whole but he didn't know what it was so he left it there, yet, unexpectedly, he received a System Prompt.

[Host has encountered a Lucky Event!

Will you use 'Collect Luck'?

Yes/No]

Ye Feng pondered and said Yes since it would aid him in reaching the next level of Luck and he didn't know what would happen anyway so he'd better try it first, what happened next surprised him, the flower disappeared, leaving no traces, when he asked Xiao Qiu, even he didn't have any recollections of the flower.

Ye Feng directly opened the Luck Tab of the Interface and found out that the bar that was at around 10% had reached 20%, it had doubled! Ye Feng was excited, he knew that he'd be able to reach the next level of Luck at the very least, it seemed that he'd need to explore the forest now.

For the moment though, he had to eat, after munching plants and stealing food from his siblings, Ye Feng went to sleep with a full belly, the next day, he didn't directly head outside, he hopped in the village until he reached a small hole that was dug out by him, on the other side, there was a poorly made training dummy made out of dirt.

Ye Feng had made this hole through the use of Telekinesis and used the training dummy to aid him in his training, he didn't know if he was talented or it was because he lived 18 years before but he quickly picked up on how to use Mental Power, using telekinesis to grab non-living item that was pretty light such as dirt was pretty easy, even his siblings could do it.

What he trained was directly using Mental Power to squeeze someone to death, that was way harder and he hadn't perfected it yet, he could only crush one area and the effect wasn't that good. As for the other things he had trained, it was using Mental Power to apply weight on someone, effectively achieving Spiritual Pressure, that was easier but consumed more than squeezing using Mental Power, he had achieved this a few days prior.

He started training his mastery over Mental Power by covering part of the dummy with it then using it to apply force, it was exhausting but he'd slowly start to be able to use more and more force and last longer and longer, although, during only one session of training, he couldn't increase by a lot, if he continued doing that, he'd reach a higher level of Mastery sooner or later.

After he had estimated that 1 hour went by, he left the small hole and headed to the gate that led to the outside world, he looked at the Furbun guarding the gate and was about to state his name when the guard directly opened the gate without saying anything, he didn't think that it was surprising since he was the only Furbun in the entire underground village to have a white fur, his mother having brown fur and every of his siblings having different shades of brown.

Due to this, Ye Feng thought that he was more likely to be an albino than to have inherited special genes from his mysterious father that he had never met, whenever he asked his mother about it, she'd always avoid the question and quickly change the subject.

He slowly hopped outside and took a deep breath of air before randomly choosing a direction and started to follow it, he wasn't stupid and made small marks to the trees so as to not get lost in the deep forest, looking at the trees, he felt overwhelmed by their immense sizes, he still couldn't get used to it, after all, he was 1m80 tall before reincarnating, now he was barely 10 centimeters tall.

Nonetheless, it was still easier for him to climb trees now, he would be able to use his Mental Power to bend some pieces of barks then use it as a platform, it would be an extremely tiring process if he didn't bend bark that was only a few centimeters wide.

After climbing the tree, he looked at the horizon and noticed a small figure moving at a fast speed, Ye Feng wouldn't be surprised if that figure had an Above Mortal level of speed, he estimated that even when he was a human, he wouldn't be able to outrun it. He thought for a while and decided not to go and see what this figure was since it could be a predator and he would be nothing but a prey if that happened.

Continuing to look for interesting locations or others livings to go and see, he found creatures that were extremely memorable to him, humans, 1 teenage girl, looking to be about 16 years old, and 1 middle-aged man looking to be at least 35 years old.

Since they could venture in this deep forest, they had to be cultivators, Ye Feng thought, he sneakily hopped into their directions, although he knew it would be risky, he didn't know if he'd meet others humans after this so even if it was risky, he'd need to try it, he didn't want to go and see them just because he was nostalgic of when he was a human, he also wanted to hear what they were saying since they could give him knowledge about this world.

Something he didn't have since Furbun didn't have the habit of writing everything down to pass unto their descendant, they'd rather use their Mental Power to directly transmit knowledge but that was something that only the wisest and the strongest could do so a lot of knowledge were still lost due to that.

Ye Feng hopped quickly and when he was nearing them, he directly hopped into a bush and had his ears wide as he started listening to what they would be saying.
