Chapter 2 - Cheated

He didn't know how much time had passed since he had reincarnated, at first, it felt as if he was in a liquid and was unable to move, stuck in a fetal position, in this place, he felt like going crazy, the only thing he could hear was the sound of liquid flowing and the many heartbeats, he counted a few times and he noticed that there were at the very least 7 but he wasn't sure.

Luckily, after a few days, he finally received the message he kept waiting to appear,

[The System has been bound]

[After analysis, Host is still a Fetus and shows a risk of going crazy.

Will you enter Sleep Mode until you're born?

Ye Feng screamed in his mind

'YES YES YES YES!'

After that, he blacked out and finally, his eyes opened, his sight was extremely blurry and he felt extremely weak yet even with that, he was sure that he wasn't a human since he could still roughly see the shapes, he tried breathing and felt a sharp pain since it was the first time he ever used his lungs since when he was in the womb of his mother, oxygen was directly distributed to him.

He tried his best not to make a sound but noticed that the other babies... Who were the equivalents of his brothers and sisters in this life were all crying from the pain, after he breathed a few times, he also cried out from the pain since even when he was still a human he'd be unable to handle pain.

Ye Feng didn't notice that only after he cried out in pain did the originally worried look of his new mother disappeared. After Ye Feng and his siblings grew used to using their lungs, they fell asleep, Ye Feng was no exception even though he had lived a full 18 years, he still had to bow down to the power of nature.

When he woke up, he finally found his sight to be clear, he stood up, finding himself to be in what seemed to be a medieval-looking room and looked at his siblings still sleeping on a bed made of plants, they looked extremely cute, they were like a small ball of furs with eyes, yet, as one of them, he knew that under the large number of fur, they looked more like small bunnies, at least, this was his prediction, he'd still need to see if he actually looked like a bunny without his dense fur.

He called 'System' in his mind and an interface appeared, the interface looked extremely simple, there were only 3 sections, 'Attributes', 'Luck' and 'Relations'. The first one was pretty simple to understand, it showed an attribute panel and even a 3D version of him that could show if there were problems with his body, with that, he was able to notice that he looked a bit different from his siblings, his siblings had mostly dark fur and shiny grey eyes whereas he had white fur and red eyes. He thought to himself that he just taken genes from one side whereas his siblings had taken genes from the other side, no big deal. He then looked at the other attributes.

With the attribute panel, he now knew that he was in a cultivation world, meaning that it would be hard for him to live a good life and he would be forced to become stronger if he didn't want to die a miserable death, the stats didn't feel strange to him as he was still an infant and would be logically weaker than regular people. What was strange to him though was the Mental Power part, he pondered on how to use it but he still went to the next tab.

The 'Luck' Panel, this one should be related to what the Entity told him, it was rather simple, it had a bar representing his advancement to the next level, there was a rank representing his level of luck, and one last part where it gave him the skills he had related to luck.

Skills: Collect Luck]

He wasn't sure what this rank represented but it sure wasn't a good level, it might even be the worst level of luck, he wasn't sure how to use the skills he had obtained but he knew it was the only way for him to escape his fate, luckily, he received a System Reminder.

[Host will be granted 5 Years where his Luck will reach the rank of 'Fated To Be Strong', after that, he will be affected by his Rank and loses his protection]

With that, he still had 5 years worth of time until his death, he then proceeded to the next tab.

The last tab, 'Relations' had 3 names, and a right under it there was a few words to represent his relations with them

At least it was clear that he was hated by those 3 entities, the moment he opened the 'Relations' tab, he also received a System Message explaining to him what those 3 entities are,

[Fate, World's will and Heaven were once the same entity, yet, eons ago, the day matter came to be in the endless void, the entity split in 3, each having their own power. The Fate controls the events that will happen and has happened, Heaven pertains to the cultivation and karma, the 'supernatural', as for the World's Will, it represents every world in existence. Each one of them reigns absolute yet can't act too much since it'll allow the other 2 to act and they are fated to battle each others until they become 1 again, to be hated by all 3 of them means that they are more inclined to act against the Host. Host has thus been granted 5 Years where the Fate, World's Will and Heaven won't act on the Host. The Host will also be aided into having better Relations with the trio]

After reading that, the pent-up anger he had from when he looked at the Luck tab had been released and he cussed out, sadly, he was still an infant and what he said ended up as complete gibberish. Yet, it did end up alerting his mother and made his siblings wake up from the noise, as they were about to open their eyes, Ye Feng lied down and acted as if he was also woken up from the noise.

It was just a measure he took in case he was punished for waking his siblings. The Mother opened the door and looked at the group of little furballs, she entered the room then directly left without closing the door, when she came back, she had a small wooden plate floating next to her, following her.

Ye Feng's eyes lit up, 'It must be Mental Power!', he thought, it seemed that at the very least, Mental Power could be used for telekinesis, he couldn't help but imagine how he'd be able to use this Mental Power to kill unsuspecting enemies.

The Mother then put the plate on the floor, on it were many kinds of plants, when he looked at them, Ye Feng instantly felt hungry and joined his siblings as they ran up to the plate and started eating, when he put the first plant in his mouth, he seemed to have heard his mother making a sound, he instinctively knew that she wasn't making this sound randomly and that it truly meant something.

Looking at the room with a bed, table, chairs, and even the wooden plate, the Furbun race seemed to be an intelligent race so it wouldn't be surprising if they could also make a language, all that remained was that he needed to learn this language in the future, right now, he could only live a life as an Infant, trying to find out how to use 'Collect Luck' in his everyday life.
